VR is the next big thing and not wanting to be left behind Samsung are getting into this market early with the Gear 360 camera, which sort of resembles Wheatley from Portal. This is a true 360 camera for the masses, even though we do not have any prices yet we are assuming that Samsung will be making this unit sort of affordable to anyone who would be in the market for this kind of equipment, hopefully starting at around the £100 mark!
The Gear 360 might be palm sized but it packs in a lot of features including; monochrome PMOLED screen, a micro SD card slot with up to 128 GB supported, a swappable battery, it is splash proof and dust resistant making ideal for any situation. Naturally there are accessories that go with this camera and these will make a difference to the bottom line, yet this is looking like a cool camera with many uses and that is what you are paying for.
Samsung have only just announced this camera and so details are coming out all the time, we assume that it will be going on sale soon. For more details and to keep up with any announcements check the Samsung Gear 360 webpage now and again.
