Why does A113 appear in so many Pixar movies?

The movies made by Pixar are some of the most popular animations around, these include; Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up, and Cars. As you can tell these are the short of movies that kids like to watch. Yet, there is something of a mystery that connects these movies and its A113. Not only that, this number has been spotted in other movies such as Avengers, Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Simpsons and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

So what does this number mean? There are plenty of theories around including one that it could be some sort of secret code and so on. But the answer seems to be a lot simpler than that, apparently A113 is the number of the animation classroom at California Institute of the Arts in the Character Animation Program where many of the people behind these movies studied, its as simple as that! Or is it?
