    Commanders, grab your sunscreen and get ready to deploy. Level Infinite and SHIFT UP have officially pulled back the curtain on “Wave to You,” the highly anticipated Summer Update for the award-winning sci-fi RPG shooter GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE.

    Mark your calendars: the tide rolls in on July 2, 2026, for both PC and mobile devices. Following a massive special livestream presentation, this year’s summer event is shaping up to be an absolute tsunami of new content. From exclusive gacha pulls and gorgeous new swimsuit variants to a mysterious island storyline, here is everything crashing ashore this July.

    The Story: Secrets of South Burst Island

    The “Wave to You” event kicks off when the Commander receives a mysterious package containing an old photograph and a ticket to South Burst Island. Accompanied by Cinderella, what starts as a relaxing beach vacation quickly turns into a high-stakes investigation.

    While Marciana leads her students on a “graduation trip,” Cinderella and company are searching for Hansel and Gretel. A sudden whirlpool traps both groups together in a strange sector of the sea. As they explore the tropical paradise, they discover that this is no ordinary island.

    New Character Variants & Mechanics

    The update introduces stunning new limited SSR summer variants, complete with unique visual features:

    Cinderella: Crystal Wave

    Cinderella makes her debut in a gorgeous swimsuit crafted for her by Grave. This unit introduces a unique gameplay mechanic—players can tap her standing pose to trigger a hidden black swimsuit variant.

    • Availability: From July 2 maintenance to July 23.

    Marciana: Marine Study

    Heading to the beach under the guise of a graduation trip with Tia and Naga, a highly vigilant Marciana suspects a hidden test. Embarrassed by the revealing swimsuit her students picked out for her, she sports a cozy penguin outfit over it!

    • Availability: From July 9 to July 30.

    Exclusive Summer Pass & Gacha Costumes

    It wouldn’t be a NIKKE summer update without an elite lineup of seasonal cosmetics.

    • Gacha Costume – Little Mermaid: Shell Princess: The 2nd Generation Grimms model (often called “Siren”) brings a bittersweet first-love romance to the island, harbouring quiet feelings for the Commander. She wields Spindrift, a liquid polymetal alloy that forms bubbles, which dynamically create a “shell” around her beautiful swimsuit design.
    • Tia: Sea Lizzie (Summer Pass): The sugary-dessert-loving graduate student gets a sunny new look, perfect for devouring sweet treats on the beach.
    • Naga: Ring Ensemble (Summer Pass): Acting as the big sister figure for the Dazzling Pearl squad, Naga sports a stunning ensemble that perfectly fits her mature style.

    Mini-Games and Monstrous New Bosses

    New Mini-Game: Island Breaker

    Need a break from the main campaign? Jump into Island Breaker, a cozy, addictive Puzzle Bobble-style arcade mini-game. Players will bounce balls to destroy beach debris and fend off waves of Raptures. Collect seashells along the way to upgrade your attacks and trigger massive combo rewards.

    New Boss Encounter: The Island Lurker

    Waiting beneath the waves is a terrifying new threat. Players will face off against a massive, adapted variant of the Land Eater—a colossus so large it has taken on the physical form of an entire island lurking beneath the ocean floor.

    More Major Announcements: Anime Expo & Persona Collab!

    The livestream didn’t stop at summer vibes. Level Infinite confirmed that GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE will be returning to Anime Expo 2026 from July 2–5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, bringing exclusive experiences for fans.

    Even bigger? The team dropped a massive teaser for later this year: An official collaboration with the iconic Persona series is officially on the way!

    Get your ninja gum ready, shnobis! GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) has officially dropped its full lineup for Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, and it is absolutely stacked.

    While there is plenty of incredible merch and franchise love to go around, the crown jewel of GungHo’s showcase is undoubtedly the first-ever public playable demo of Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet.

    If you are heading to AX 2026, here is everything you need to know about what GungHo is bringing to West Hall Booth #2316.

    Ninjala Evolved: Welcome to the Open World

    When Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet was first announced during the June Nintendo Direct, it turned heads by shifting the franchise away from its strictly PvP roots. The sequel is completely flipping the script, evolving the high-energy franchise into a co-op open-world action game launching exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

    At Anime Expo 2026, attendees can get hands-on with this next-gen experience ahead of anyone else. GungHo is serving up two distinct playable courses for the demo:

    • The Planetary Exploration Course: Perfect for players wanting to test out the game’s deep combat mechanics, weapon attributes, and high-speed Ninja-Gum action.
    • The Photography Course: A more relaxed, sightseeing-focused option that lets you explore the vast, nature-rich landscapes of the alien world.

    Bonus Loot: Everyone who steps up to test out the demo will walk away with an exclusive inflatable bat modeled after the game’s iconic IPPON Katana!

    With deep features like item crafting, cooking systems, and up to four-player co-op to conquer dungeons and massive bosses, Ninjala 2 is shaping up to be a massive leap forward for the series.
