EA and Respawn Entertainment have officially dropped the trailer for Apex Legends: Blood Pact Event — a supernatural showdown running October 13 through November 2, where every Legend must pick a side, embrace their wild or infernal nature, and wield powers unlike anything seen in the Outlands.

    Darkness Falls Over Kings Canyon

    Something ancient and hungry has settled over the map. The familiar battleground is cloaked in mist, lit by eerie glows, and stalked by forces that don’t belong in any science — this is pure, terrifying legend. But the Legends aren’t just running scared. They’re answering the call, swearing fealty to one of two rising armies:

    Beasts — embrace the wild, unleash the wolf within. Fast, feral, and relentless.

    Demons — bargain with darkness, wield infernal might. Powerful, arcane, and unstoppable.

    Apex Legends: Overclocked — New Trailer Reveals High-Octane Speed and Respawns 2.0

    EA and Respawn Entertainment have officially hit the nitro button on the hype train, dropping the gameplay trailer for Apex Legends: Overclocked. Launching on May 5, 2026, the new season is leaning heavily into a “high-risk, high-reward” philosophy that looks set to drastically shift the current meta.

    If the trailer is anything to go by, the Outlands are about to get a lot faster and much more forgiving for those brave enough to push the pace.

    Meet Axle: The High-Speed Skirmisher

    The star of the show is undoubtedly Axle, a hypercompetitive body-mod racer who brings wheels—literally—to the Apex Games. Her kit is designed around maintaining momentum and punishing teams that stand still:

    • Passive: Drift – Axle has enhanced movement precision, allowing her to slide with increased control and stop on a dime.
    • Tactical: Nitro Gate – She deploys a booster plate on the ground. Any teammate who passes through it gains a significant speed-boosted slide, perfect for aggressive rotations.
    • Ultimate: Kickstart – Axle launches an enemy-seeking drone that disorients and displaces foes, forcing them out of cover and into your line of fire.

    Deathbox Respawns: No Beacon Required

    In perhaps the biggest mechanical shift in years, Deathbox Respawns are coming to Overclocked. This new feature allows players to revive fallen teammates directly at their Deathbox.

    The Catch: While you don’t need to hunt for a Respawn Beacon, the process takes seven seconds, is incredibly noisy, and highly visible to nearby squads. It’s a literal “clutch or kick” mechanic that rewards squads for wiping an enemy team and holding their ground.

    Meta Shifts and Legend Buffs

    Axle isn’t the only one getting an upgrade. Respawn is doubling down on movement and utility for some of the roster’s favourites:

    • Conduit: Receives an extra Tactical charge and improved mobility.
    • Vantage: Her ultimate now features improved handling and a 2x canted optic, making her far more dangerous in mid-range “quick-scope” scenarios.
    • Chain Healing: A new quality-of-life feature allowing players to queue up healing items (like a Battery followed by a Cell) to trigger automatically.

    Platform Updates: A New Era

    Apex Legends: Overclocked marks a significant milestone for hardware. While the game launches across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, it is also optimised for the Nintendo Switch 2.

    Notably, this is the penultimate season for original Nintendo Switch players; Respawn has confirmed that support for the legacy Switch hardware will officially end with the launch of Season 30 in August 2026.

    Buckle up, Legends. Two of the most iconic universes in sci-fi are about to collide. Respawn Entertainment has officially revealed the Apex Legends x Gundam crossover event, and it’s set to land on March 10, 2026.

    This isn’t just a handful of skins; we’re looking at a full-scale invasion of Mobile Suits, reimagined maps, and gameplay mechanics that feel straight out of a high-octane anime.

    Broken Moon Reimagined

    The centrepiece of the event is a massive transformation for Broken Moon. The map is being turned into a war-torn Gundam battlefield. Expect to see:

    Wrecked Mobile Suits: Massive husks of fallen mechs scattered across the terrain.

    Wing Gundam Statues: Gigantic, climbable monuments that double as tactical high-ground landmarks.

    Aerial Dogfights: Look up to see massive ships and mechs battling it out in the skies while you fight on the ground.

    Suit Up: Iconic Legend Skins

    The collaboration brings eight legendary skins inspired by specific Mobile Suits. If you’ve ever wanted to drop into the Outlands as a Newtype, now is your chance.

    Pro Tip: Keep an eye on the Reward Shop! You can earn medals during the event to unlock a Char Aznable-inspired skin for the newest Legend, Sparrow, for free.

    New Gameplay: Wild Cards & The Buster Rifle

    The event introduces the “Wild Card” system, adding unique abilities to the mix. These will change the flow of combat in the limited-time mode:

    Epyon’s Lash: Adds a magnetic melee pull to your tactical.

    Heavyarms Salvo: Successfully landing hits marks enemies for a devastating air support missile strike.

    Zero Sacrifice: A high-stakes “self-destruct” mechanic that triggers an explosion upon being knocked, punishing anyone too close.

    Zero Rebirth: Allows you to enter the Void when knocked and reappear with 1 HP and temporary invulnerability.

    And if you find a Care Package? You might just snag the Buster Rifle. This power weapon allows for aerial recon and fires a massive laser beam that pierces through cover and explodes on impact.

    Real-World Rewards: Limited Edition Gunpla

    For the collectors out there, the collaboration extends beyond the screen. Bandai Namco is releasing three limited-edition RG 1/144 Real Grade Gunpla kits based on the Apex versions of Crypto, Valkyrie, and Alter. Pre-orders for these kits are scheduled to open on March 18.

From a massively overhauled map to powerful Legend buffs and new movement tech, here’s your breakdown of why this is an adrenaline-fueled season you won’t want to miss.

    Olympus Rising: The Map Reimagined

    The floating city of Olympus is back, but not as you remember it. The map has received a substantial rework, titled Olympus Rising, with a focus on improving flow, creating safer rotations, and embracing vertical gameplay. Four all-new Points of Interest (POIs) have landed:

    • Somers University: Replacing the Orbital Cannon, this sprawling campus built by Horizon is full of high-flying lifts and bold architecture.
    • Gravity Engine: The new “beating heart” of Olympus, replacing Energy Depot, utilising Branthium power and featuring a clash of lifts, zip rails, and intense verticality.
    • Stabiliser: Taking the place of Docks, this new area features floating rocks that lead to its outer ballast structures.
    • Dockyard: Near Hydroponics, this area has been upgraded with a new emphasis on vertical combat and raised platforms.

    Legends Amped Up: Valkyrie, Rampart, and Horizon Take Flight

    A trio of Legends are receiving significant buffs, ensuring they can dominate the new, faster-paced battlefield:

    • Valkyrie: The Sky Queen is getting a major flight upgrade! Her VTOL Jets receive a speed boost and recharge three times faster. Her Skyward Dive ultimate has a shorter takeoff time. Crucially, her Missile Swarm now inflicts zero self-damage, scans enemies on hit, and disables enemy movement passives.
    • Rampart: Her area-denial is getting a big boost. Her Amped Cover tactical now gains health as her Evo level increases, provides a speed boost, and even includes a roof! Upgrades further allow for infinite ammo and fast reloads when firing from cover, and wall health regeneration out of combat.
    • Horizon: The master of verticality is back! Her Gravity Lift tactical has a shorter cooldown and faster lift speed. New upgrades allow for fast-fall by crouching mid-air and gliding out of the lift for extended aerial control, giving her more fluid movement options.

    Move Without Limits: New Mechanics

    Movement is everything in Apex, and Amped delivers new tools to master the battlefield:

    • Mantle Boost: What was once a high-skill, hidden technique is now an officially recognised and easier-to-execute mechanic. Activating Mantle Boost gives you a forward speed boost when climbing up ledges or walls, allowing for aggressive pushes and cleaner escapes.
    • Trident Tune-Ups: The Olympus vehicle receives improved handling, a dedicated health bar (with visual effects!), and better collision, making it more viable for rotations and combat.

    Double-Barrel Devastation

    The Alternator SMG gets a new lease on life with the return of a terrifying Hop-Up: “Double Tap.” With this attachment, the Alternator fires both barrels at the exact same time, transforming it into an absolute menace at close range. Get ready to close the gap and Double-Tap your enemies into the ground.
