    If you’ve been braving the frozen wastes and battling through the intense pixel-art world of HYKE: Northern Light(s), it is time to put down the sword and pick up a towel. Aniplex Inc. and Akatsuki Games Inc. have officially announced that their hit 2D top-down action RPG is receiving a major free content update titled “A Witch’s chill time” on April 30th.

    After the heavy lifting of the main campaign, our heroes are heading to the hot springs for some much-needed R&R—but in the world of HYKE, even a vacation comes with its own set of mysteries.

    What’s New in the Forbidden Areas?

    Set after the resolution of the main story, the update finds Hyke and the group guided by an invitation from Aurora into a mysterious new realm. The goal? Creating the “ideal hot spring.” Of course, getting there involves more than just checking into a hotel.

    The “A Witch’s chill time” update brings a healthy dose of new content to the table:

    • A Brand New Story: Explore a post-game narrative focused on tranquillity and teamwork.
    • New Encounters: Meet new characters and face unique challenges tucked away in the hot spring location.

    Note for Mobile Gamers: While the update hits consoles and PC on April 30th, the Apple Arcade version is currently slated to receive this content later this year.
