  • Red Dust, Red Revolution: Why ‘Mars Tactics’ Is the Strategy Game to Watch

Red Dust, Red Revolution: Why ‘Mars Tactics’ Is the Strategy Game to Watch

The Red Planet is about to get a whole lot redder. Not just from its rusty surface, but from the ideological conflict at the heart of the upcoming turn-based strategy game, Mars Tactics. Forget aliens and terraforming—this is a fight for the future of Mars between two uniquely designed factions: the established might of Capital and the desperate, righteous fervour of Labour.

If you’re a fan of XCOM‘s intense squad combat but crave a deeper, more politically charged strategic layer, keep this game on your radar.

A War of Ideology on a Planetary Scale

At its core, Mars Tactics is a planetary war game. You’re not just fighting a series of skirmishes; you’re managing an entire campaign across a sprawling, detailed map of Mars.

The game forces you to pick a side, each with entirely different strengths, weaknesses, and strategic challenges:

    • Capital: The corporate army, well-funded and equipped with advanced tech shipped from Earth, but beholden to the demands of faraway shareholders. They start strong but must manage supply chains and corporate pressure.
    • Labour: The workers’ revolutionaries, driven by high morale and the need for liberation. They start small but can grow their forces and customise/manufacture weapons locally, leveraging guerrilla tactics and infiltration.

This asymmetry in action is the game’s secret sauce, ensuring maximum replayability and forcing you to master two distinct playstyles.

Beyond the Turn: The Strategic Layer

Where Mars Tactics really stands out is in its robust strategic layer. The war isn’t just won on the battlefield—it’s won through logistics, politics, and development.

    Key Strategic Features:

    • Real-Time with Pause (RTWP) Strategy: The campaign map allows for movement, supply management, and base building, which has recently been updated to an RTWP system for a more fluid feel.
    • Base Building & Outposts: Establish outposts and supply chains, build up your main base for R&D, and train new soldiers. Poorly supplied troops will suffer.
    • Ideology & Policy: Beyond combat, you’ll be managing your faction’s ideology, enacting policies (like Universal Basic Income or the “Martian Guillotine” in a wonderfully cheeky blend of sci-fi and political satire), and giving speeches to rally your forces.
    • Spoils of War: Control resource hubs, raid enemy supply lines, and even commandeer vehicles from one battle to gain an advantage in the next.

    Intense, Destructive Tactical Combat

Once engaged, the game shifts to intense, turn-based tactical combat, offering a nod to classic games like XCOM and Jagged Alliance but with modern depth:

    • Fully Destructible Environments: Everything from solar panels to walls can be blasted away, turning every battlefield into a sandbox of destruction. You can literally shape the terrain to your advantage, or suffer the consequences of exposed positions.
    • Free-Aim System: No percentage-to-hit over a wall here. You can fire blindly into the fog or blast a corner to destroy cover and suppress an enemy unit.
    • Emergent Progression: Your soldiers aren’t bound by a fixed skill tree. Their personalities and permanent traits develop based on their actions in battle. Pull off an incredible multi-kill? You might earn the “Penetrator” trait. Save a downed comrade? You’ll gain a talent for medicine. This makes every soldier feel unique and every loss sting more.
    • High Lethality: The combat leans towards the unforgiving nature of the original XCOM, where snipers and heavy weapons can often one-shot a unit, ensuring every move is a high-stakes decision.

The Verdict: A Tactical Future to Invest In

Mars Tactics is shaping up to be a compelling evolution of the turn-based tactics genre. By merging the brutal, sandboxy combat of the classics with a deep, ideologically-driven strategy layer, it promises a rich, complex war experience. The unique asymmetric factions and the emergent soldier progression are exciting twists that could make this a staple for strategy enthusiasts for years to come.

Mark your calendars: Mars Tactics is currently slated for a May 2026 release on PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store).

Will you fight for corporate profit, or for the liberation of the Martian working class? The future of the Red Planet is waiting for your command.

  • A New Era of All-Out War: Breaking Down the Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer

A New Era of All-Out War: Breaking Down the Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer

The wait is finally over. DICE and EA have dropped the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 Official Reveal Trailer, and it’s a non-stop, adrenaline-fueled cinematic experience that has the entire gaming community buzzing. After a period of relative quiet, this trailer is a thunderous statement: Battlefield is back, and it’s aiming for nothing less than the title of the ultimate all-out warfare experience.

For those who haven’t seen it (stop reading and go watch it!), the trailer is a visceral blend of stunning in-engine footage and dramatic action, showcasing the scope, setting, and sheer destructive chaos the series is renowned for.

The Setting: Modern Conflict, Global Scale

The trailer plunges us headfirst into a near-future global conflict. While the official name for the game is simply Battlefield 6 for now, the visuals immediately confirm a return to a modern military setting, a period many core fans have been clamouring for.

The action spans the globe, hinting at a massive single-player campaign and diverse multiplayer maps. We see intense close-quarters combat in urban environments, massive vehicle battles in deserts, and a breathtaking sequence featuring massive structures collapsing—a staple of the franchise’s famed Tactical Destruction.

The narrative seed planted suggests a conflict driven by Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation bankrolled by former NATO states, an entity whose aggressive agenda threatens to engulf the world. This is a thrilling setup that promises to deliver a campaign rooted in believable, albeit dramatised, modern geopolitical tension.

    Key Takeaways from the Reveal

    1. Destruction is King (Again): The trailer dedicates ample screen time to the sheer spectacle of environmental destruction. Buildings crumble, concrete gives way to explosions, and the landscape is fundamentally altered by combat. This is a massive return to form, promising tactical opportunities from tearing down cover to creating new firing lines.
    2. The Scale is Immense: From the vast, open-air battles to the sheer number of vehicles—tanks, fighter jets, helicopters, and heavily armoured ground vehicles—the sense of large-scale warfare is palpable.
    3. A Return to Visceral, Grounded Combat: The focus is clearly on realistic-looking military technology and intense, boots-on-the-ground action. The vibe is gritty, serious, and distinctly Battlefield.
    4. The Squad Matters: The trailer subtly reinforces the “deadliest weapon is your squad” mantra, showing players relying on each other, a core pillar of the franchise’s multiplayer design. We even saw hints of the new Kinesthetic Combat System, which is said to make movement and gunplay feel more instinctual and connected, alongside the fan-favourite Drag and Revive mechanic.

Community Buzz: High Hopes and Caution

The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Fans are ecstatic about the return to the modern era, the apparent commitment to true next-gen destruction, and the overall serious military tone.

However, a healthy dose of scepticism remains. Past trailers have promised the world, only for the final game to fall short on launch. The community is eager for the upcoming Multiplayer Reveal Event on July 31st (a few days after the trailer dropped), where developers have promised to show off the ultimate all-out warfare experience, including maps, modes, and the first-ever official gameplay footage.

    What’s Next?

The live-action reveal trailer was the first explosive spark. Now, all eyes turn to the dedicated Multiplayer Reveal. That is where we will see the true heart of Battlefield 6: how the revamped class-based system functions, the rumoured player count expansion, and the technical stability of the game engine.

Until then, we are left to replay the incredible trailer, dissecting every frame for clues about weapons (like the M1014 shotgun and HK 416 sighting), potential map locations (Gibraltar, Cairo), and narrative threads.

The launch on October 10th feels simultaneously ages away and right around the corner. If this reveal is anything to go by, Battlefield 6 is prepared to deliver on the franchise’s biggest promises and define the future of the first-person shooter genre.

  • All-Out Solo Warfare: Everything We Know About the Battlefield 6 Official Campaign

All-Out Solo Warfare: Everything We Know About the Battlefield 6 Official Campaign

The hype train for Battlefield 6 has been running at full speed, mostly fueled by the promise of massive 128-player multiplayer battles. But let’s be honest, many of us have been holding our breath for the return of a proper, compelling single-player campaign.

Good news: the campaign is back, and from the recent trailers and hands-on previews, it looks like Battlefield Studios is bringing the series’ signature chaos and destruction to a highly-focused, modern military thriller.

Here’s a deep dive into the official campaign details, the story, the squad, and the gameplay that make this single-player experience a massive deal.

The Story: A World on the Brink in 2027

Forget historical War Stories—Battlefield 6 takes us to a grounded, near-future global conflict in 2027.

The world’s geopolitical landscape is in shambles. NATO is fracturing, and a powerful, well-armed private military corporation (PMC) called Pax Armata has risen to fill the power vacuum. Their aggressive expansion and attempts to reshape global power threaten to plunge the world into a new, all-out war.

The only force standing in their way is your elite US Marine Raiders squad, Dagger 1-3.

Meet Dagger 1-3: Your Elite Squad

Unlike the episodic “War Stories” of previous titles, Battlefield 6 returns to a singular, character-driven narrative where you play as various members of Dagger 1-3. True to the series’ roots, squad-play is a core pillar.

    Squad MemberClass RoleDescription
Haz CarterAssault (Leader)The squad leader, a former high school quarterback, specialized in close-range combat and breaching.
Dylan MurphyEngineerThe squad’s explosives and anti-vehicle expert is vital for destroying enemy armour and structures.
Simone “Gecko” EspinaReconThe squad leader, a former high school quarterback, specialised in close-range combat and breaching.
Cliff LopezSupportThe essential team member focused on keeping the squad supplied and revived (though not a playable character in the missions shown so far).

You’ll be able to issue Squad Orders, commanding your teammates to engage enemies, allowing you to use their class-specific abilities to suppress foes while you flank, snipe, or blow up a building. This integrates the core class-based philosophy of multiplayer directly into the solo experience.

    Gameplay: Set Pieces Meet Sandboxes

The campaign features nine missions across multiple continents, blending intense, cinematic set-pieces with moments of open-ended gameplay freedom. Early previews have highlighted three distinct missions:

    • Operation Gladius (Gibraltar): A full-scale beachfront assault featuring armoured vehicles, tank combat, and eventually on-foot fighting through narrow, destructible city streets. Here, the Engineer’s role in repairing friendly armour is as crucial as their firepower.
    • No Sleep (New York): A gritty, close-quarters nighttime raid in Brooklyn. This mission emphasises verticality, destructible walls, and even features a sledgehammer melee weapon that allows you to literally smash new pathways through floors and apartments.
    • Operation Ember Strike (Tajikistan): A wide-open, “sandboxy” mission where you play as Gecko (Recon). The objective is to disable multiple surface-to-air missile sites, and you have the freedom to approach them in any order using vehicles, your squad, and Gecko’s drone for scouting and bombing.

This mix of linear, “Hollywood-style” action and missions that reward the tactical player with freedom of approach seems to be the developers’ answer to delivering an exciting, replayable solo experience that finally utilises the Battlefield DNA for destruction and large-scale combat.

    The Big Takeaway

The Battlefield 6 Official Campaign is a definitive return to a singular narrative format after the episodic style of BF1 and BFV. It’s a chance for players to be fully immersed in a modern war story—one that’s designed to introduce the classes, vehicles, and the massive scale that the multiplayer experience is built upon.

If you were hoping for a campaign that finally feels like the massive, chaotic, and fully destructive battles you only find in Battlefield, it looks like your wish is about to be granted on October 10th. Lock and load, Dagger 1-3 is deploying soon.

  • Return to the Dark Aether: Everything We Know About Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies

Return to the Dark Aether: Everything We Know About Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies

The undead horde is calling, and Call of Duty fans are ready to answer! Treyarch has finally pulled back the veil on the highly anticipated Zombies experience for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and it’s looking like a massive return to form, blending classic, round-based terror with exciting new features.

Launching on November 14th, here is your intel blast on what to expect when you dive into the Dark Aether.

The Launch Map: Ashes of the Damned

The twisted journey begins with the launch map, “Ashes of the Damned.”

This new round-based map will see our new crew—eight dedicated members from different timelines—colliding and confronting a “soul-harvesting entity” before awakening in the Dark Aether. Early previews hint at an environment inspired by the sprawling, segmented map design of Black Ops 2‘s “TranZit,” though delivered with a darker, grittier atmosphere.

    • Round-Based Action: Confirmed as the first of several round-based maps planned for launch and post-launch seasons.
    • The Wonder Vehicle: Meet “Tessie,” a vintage farm truck kitted out for zombie survival. This “Wonder Vehicle” will serve as a key mode of transport across the map’s new, larger scale.
    • Narrative Focus: The focus is firmly back on a compelling, overarching narrative that drives the map progression.

Dual Modes: Standard & The Classic “Cursed” Mode

Perhaps the most exciting news for longtime fans is the inclusion of two distinct Zombies modes at launch:

    1. Standard Mode: This is the modernised experience, likely similar to what fans have enjoyed in recent titles, featuring loadouts, Field Upgrades, and the returning Essence and Salvage currencies.
    2. Classic “Cursed” Mode: This one is for the purists! Leaks suggest a stripped-down, nostalgic experience:
      • NO Minimap
      • Perk Limit of 4
      • NO Exfil Option
      • Classic Point System (Points for every shot, not just kills)
      • Start with Pistol
      • NO Armor

This “Cursed” mode aims to bring the mode back to its World at War and early Black Ops roots, forcing players to rely on skill, teamwork, and map knowledge.

    Returning & Reworked Systems

A fan-favourite is returning alongside a host of system overhauls to keep the gameplay fresh:

    Perks & Power-Ups

    • Perk-A-Cola: All 11 classic perks are back, including Jugger-Nog, Quick Revive, Double Tap, and Stamin-Up, plus one all-new perk: Wisp Tea.
    • Power-Ups: Classics like Insta-Kill, Double Points, Max Ammo, and Fire Sale are all confirmed, along with new additions like Random Perk and Max Armour.

    The Undead & Combat

    • Enemy Changes: Treyarch has teased significant changes, including adjustments to Armoured Zombies (less “Super Sprint,” weaker against bullets, stronger against explosions).
    • New Movement: Sliding will now reportedly knock down zombies without dealing significant damage, adding a new layer to crowd control.
    • Dead Ops Arcade: The chaotic top-down arcade mode is also confirmed to make a return!

Final Thoughts: We Are So Back?

The sheer amount of content—a new round-based map, the triumphant return of classic systems, a dual-mode approach, and the promise of a dark, engaging story—has the Zombies community buzzing. Treyarch seems to be listening directly to the calls for a grounded, challenging, and narrative-focused experience.

We’ll get our first taste when the Zombies Survival mode is playable during the Black Ops 7 beta (Early Access starting on October 2nd), but all signs point to this being the definitive Zombies instalment fans have been waiting for.

  • Leading the Charge in Modern Warfare: Why You Should be Playing Broken Arrow

Leading the Charge in Modern Warfare: Why You Should be Playing Broken Arrow

If you’re a fan of deep strategy, realistic military tactics, and the thrill of combined-arms combat, you need to turn your attention to Broken Arrow. Developed by Steel Balalaika and published by Slitherine, this large-scale real-time tactics (RTT) game has burst onto the scene, setting a new benchmark for modern warfare simulations.

Released on June 19, 2025, for PC via Steam, Broken Arrow isn’t your average real-time strategy title. It blends the complexity of a wargame with action-packed, moment-to-moment tactical gameplay, offering an immersive experience that puts you right in the commander’s seat.

The New Face of Tactical Combat

Broken Arrow is set in a compelling near-future scenario, focusing on two heavily detailed factions: the United States and Russia. Forget simple rock-paper-scissors; this is a game about authentic combined-arms doctrine, where meticulous planning is your first step to victory.

Key features that make the game stand out:

    • Deep Army Customisation: Before a battle even begins, you build a “Battlegroup” using a deck-building system. You choose from different specialisations (like Airborne, Armoured, or Marines) and then fully customise your units. Want a tank with an anti-aircraft missile package? Go for it. This system allows for nearly endless strategic variety and ensures that your army deck truly reflects your playstyle.
    • Over 300 Realistic Units: The game boasts an astonishing roster of over 300 real-world military units and technologies. Everything from infantry and tanks to cutting-edge aircraft, drones, and artillery is available, all modelled with a high degree of fidelity and featuring modular damage systems.
    • The Combined-Arms Puzzle: Success in Broken Arrow hinges on your ability to coordinate various unit types. Reconnaissance units spot the enemy, artillery softens targets, infantry secures buildings, tanks provide main firepower, and air support delivers decisive strikes. Utilising the six unit categories (Recon, Infantry, Fighting Vehicles, Support, Helicopters, and Aeroplanes) is crucial.
    • Logistics and Supply: Unlike many traditional RTS games, logistics play a vital role. Units have limited ammo and supplies, requiring you to carefully deploy and manage resupply vehicles to keep your troops in the fight.

Game Modes to Test Your Mettle

Whether you prefer a gripping narrative or competitive multiplayer, Broken Arrow has you covered:

    • Narrative Campaign: Dive into a thrilling, 19-mission campaign set in the Baltic region, played from both the US and Russian perspectives. These handcrafted missions offer unique tactical challenges that push your commanding skills to the limit.
    • Skirmish & Multiplayer: Test your custom Battlegroups against the AI in Skirmish mode across 19 maps, or jump into intense Multiplayer matches up to 5v5. The focus on team games allows for massive-scale battles that truly demand coordination with your teammates.
    • Scenario Editor: Unleash your creativity with the powerful built-in editor. Create custom scenarios complete with cutscenes and dialogue using a visual scripting system—no coding required—and share them with the community via the Steam Workshop.

    Is Broken Arrow for You?

If you’ve bounced off the more complex military RTT genre in the past (like the Wargame series), Broken Arrow might be the perfect entry point. While deep and complex, many reviewers have noted that it’s surprisingly more accessible than its competitors, with a focus on a smaller starting unit roster and a structured campaign to ease you into its mechanics.

However, be warned: this is still a tactics game. It demands patience, meticulous map reading, and a willingness to learn the subtle nuances of modern military hardware. Victory is earned through superior positioning, combined arms, and decisive strikes, not simply faster clicks.

Broken Arrow is a triumphant debut from Steel Balalaika, offering a fresh, detailed, and addictive take on real-time modern warfare. If you’re ready to master the intricacies of the 21st-century battlefield, it’s time to assemble your Battlegroup and deploy.

  • Neo Gundam Arrives in GBO2: What We Know So Far

Neo Gundam Arrives in GBO2: What We Know So Far

Pilots, prepare yourselves! A new force is joining the battlefield in MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2. The long-awaited Neo Gundam is finally here, and it’s set to make a significant impact on the meta. While we’re still learning the full extent of its capabilities, here’s a breakdown of what we know about this new addition.

The Neo Gundam: A New Threat on the Horizon

The Neo Gundam, hailing from the Mobile Suit Gundam F90 manga series, is a highly anticipated addition to the GBO2 roster. Its arrival marks a continued expansion of the game’s timeline, bringing in suits from the post-Universal Century era. Fans have been clamouring for more of these advanced mobile suits, and the Neo Gundam is a welcome sight.

Based on initial information, the Neo Gundam will be a 750-cost, 4-star Support unit. This is a major development, as it introduces a new top-tier Support option to the highest cost tier of the game. The 750 cost bracket is home to some of the most powerful and mobile suits in the game, and a new Support could dramatically shift the balance of power.

    A Glimpse at its Arsenal

Trailers and developer updates have given us a peek at the Neo Gundam’s capabilities. Its primary weapon appears to be its G-BRD (Gundam Beam Rifle Device), which is more than just a simple beam rifle. It seems to have a special skill, “G-BRD H Speed Mobility Controller,” that allows the suit to temporarily increase its mobility and reduce thruster consumption while using specific weapons. This could make it an incredibly agile and hard-to-pin-down Support unit, a far cry from the more static, long-range Supports we’re used to.

This mobility, combined with a potential for both high-speed movement and powerful ranged attacks, suggests the Neo Gundam will be a versatile and formidable opponent. Unlike other Supports that often need to stay at a distance to be effective, the Neo Gundam might be able to hold its own in a more dynamic battlefield.

How to Acquire the Neo Gundam

As a 4-star unit, the Neo Gundam is available through the Supply Drop system. For players looking to add this powerful suit to their hangar, it’s time to start saving up those tokens. As with all new high-rarity suits, there will likely be a special step-up banner, offering a better chance of acquiring the unit through multiple pulls.

    The Impact on the Meta

The introduction of the Neo Gundam at the 750 cost level is sure to shake things up. The top-tier meta is dominated by suits with incredible speed, firepower, and special abilities. The Neo Gundam’s unique mobility and offensive capabilities as a Support unit could create new strategic possibilities for teams. Its ability to manoeuvre and stay on the move while delivering sustained fire could make it a nightmare for enemy Raids and Generals trying to close in.

With the Neo Gundam’s release, we can expect to see new team compositions and tactics emerge. It will be fascinating to see how players adapt to its playstyle and how it stands up against other 750-cost behemoths like the Nu Gundam and the Xi Gundam.

The Neo Gundam is set to arrive in MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2 on September 25, 2025. Get ready, pilots—the battle for Earth and space is about to get a whole lot more interesting!

  • A New Era of Espionage: Everything You Need to Know About Splinter Cell: Deathwatch

A New Era of Espionage: Everything You Need to Know About Splinter Cell: Deathwatch

For over a decade, fans of the iconic Splinter Cell franchise have been waiting in the shadows for Sam Fisher’s return. While the long-rumoured game remake remains a mystery, the good news is that our favourite Third Echelon operative is finally coming back into the light… or rather, the darkness. On October 14, 2025, a new story in the Splinter Cell universe will arrive, but not in the way you might expect.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is not a game, but an adult animated espionage series set to premiere on Netflix. And based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s shaping up to be an adaptation that both respects the source material and carves out its own unique path.

From John Wick to Splinter Cell: The Creative Team

One of the most exciting aspects of Deathwatch is the team behind it. The series is produced by Ubisoft Film & Television, but the creative lead is none other than Derek Kolstad, the writer who brought the high-octane world of John Wick to life. In a recent interview, Kolstad made it clear that his goal was to create a new story that uses all the existing game lore and ancillary material as canon.

This means that the series will feature an older, retired Sam Fisher, a seasoned veteran living in self-imposed exile. His past with characters like Douglas Shetland and the events of games like Chaos Theory will serve as the foundation for this new chapter. It’s a fresh take that allows for an original plot while still feeling deeply connected to the legacy of the games.

The Story: An Old Legend Pulled Back into the Black

Deathwatch sees Sam Fisher, long since retired from active duty, drawn back into the world of espionage. A wounded young operative, Zinnia McKenna, seeks his help, leading Sam to uncover a vast conspiracy involving a company called Displace International. The company, now run by the children of his former comrade Douglas Shetland, is at the heart of a plot that threatens Europe.

Working with his old technical operations officer Anna “Grim” Grímsdóttir and the modern Fourth Echelon, Sam must once again use his legendary skills to navigate a world that has become more digital and less reliant on boots-on-the-ground agents. The show explores the tension between old-school analogue spies and the new digital world, a theme that feels perfectly suited for a franchise known for its cutting-edge technology and classic stealth gameplay.

A New Voice for Sam Fisher

Perhaps the most talked-about change for Deathwatch is the casting of Sam Fisher. For the first time, Michael Ironside will not be voicing the iconic character. Instead, the role goes to acclaimed actor Liev Schreiber. While this news has certainly been met with mixed reactions from longtime fans, Kolstad has stated that the decision was made to give the series a “new sound” for what they hope will be a long-running show. Given Schreiber’s experience with the Clancy-verse (he played John Clark in The Sum of All Fears), it’s a choice that makes a lot of sense from a narrative and casting perspective.

    What to Expect

The trailers for Splinter Cell: Deathwatch are full of fast-paced action and a moody, stylised aesthetic. It’s a visually striking animated series that promises a gritty, adult spy thriller. While it’s not the new game fans have been clamouring for, it’s a chance to see Sam Fisher in a new medium, with a new story that builds on his rich history.

So, mark your calendars for October 14, 2025, grab your night-vision goggles, and get ready to dive back into the shadows. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is set to be a mission you won’t want to miss.

  • Stepping into the Abyss: What We Know About Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and “Ashes of the Damned

Stepping into the Abyss: What We Know About Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and “Ashes of the Damned

The hype is real. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is on the horizon, and with it, a new chapter in the Zombies saga is about to unfold. Following the recent reveal of the “Ashes of the Damned” cinematic trailer, fans are buzzing with questions and theories. While we haven’t seen any gameplay just yet, the trailer itself has given us a tantalising glimpse into what awaits.

So, what is “Ashes of the Damned”? It’s the first Zombies map for Black Ops 7, and from the looks of it, it’s going to be a wild ride. The story picks up right where Black Ops 6‘s “Reckoning” Easter egg quest left off. Our familiar crew—Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mac Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo—find themselves suddenly transported from their battle atop Janus Towers into the terrifying, otherworldly dimension of the Dark Aether.

But they aren’t alone. In a move that has the community in a frenzy, they are joined by new incarnations of the original Zombies crew: Edward Richtofen, “Tank” Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki. This is a massive moment for the lore, as these aren’t the Ultimis or Primis versions we’ve seen before. Treyarch has confirmed they are “never-before-seen incarnations,” leaving us to wonder about their backstory and how they ended up in the Dark Aether.

The cinematic trailer wastes no time in introducing a new, menacing antagonist. A mysterious figure with a cowboy hat and a sinister southern drawl appears, carrying what look like caged, zombified skulls. This villain, rumoured to be a character named “The Great Voice,” proceeds to drain the life essence from both teams, leaving them with glowing purple eyes and a semi-zombified appearance. It seems our heroes will not only have to fight off hordes of the undead but also contend with this powerful new threat as they try to reclaim their souls and escape the Dark Aether.

The trailer also teases the map itself. Based on the visuals, it appears “Ashes of the Damned” is a recreation of the Janus Towers plaza, but in a warped, Dark Aether version. The developers have also hinted that the map will be the largest round-based map to date, with some suggesting it will be a spiritual successor to Black Ops 2‘s fan-favourite “Tranzit” map, complete with a new “Wonder Vehicle” to help traverse the sprawling environment.

With the game set to launch on November 14th and the multiplayer beta kicking off on October 2, we can expect more details to drop soon, especially at the Call of Duty: Next event on September 30. Until then, the community will be busy dissecting every frame of the “Ashes of the Damned” trailer, eager to uncover more secrets before we get to experience this new chapter for ourselves. One thing is for certain: Black Ops 7 Zombies is poised to bring together two iconic crews for what looks like an epic and soul-shattering fight for survival.

Trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X: Ram Elite

Get ready, Operators, because a new Elite set has just dropped in Rainbow Six Siege, and it’s bringing some serious style to your next breach! Say hello to the Ram Elite Set, a high-octane homage to the relentless and destructive nature of our favourite G.O.R.O.X. specialist.

Since her introduction, Ram has redefined what it means to be an entry fragger, tearing through defences with her BU-GI Auto-Breacher. Now, she’s not just bringing the heat, she’s looking damn good doing it!

A Nod to the Past, Eyes on the Future

Ram’s Elite skin, known as “Steel Sentinel,” is a fantastic blend of her military background and a futuristic, almost sci-fi aesthetic. Gone are the subtle greens and browns; in their place, we have a striking ensemble of reinforced armour plating, sleek metallic accents, and an intimidating presence that screams “get out of my way.”

The headgear is particularly impressive, featuring a hardened helmet with an integrated visor that gives her a truly formidable look. The uniform itself boasts intricate detailing, from the textured ballistic plating to the utilitarian pouches and gear that are essential for any demolitions expert. It’s a design that not only looks cool but also feels incredibly functional and in line with her Operator profile.

    Customisation that Kills

Of course, an Elite set isn’t just about the skin; it’s about the entire package. The “Steel Sentinel” set comes with:

    • Custom Headgear and Uniform: As described, a truly imposing and detailed aesthetic overhaul for Ram.
    • Weapon Skins: Expect some sleek and rugged designs for Ram’s primary and secondary weapons, likely reflecting the metallic and reinforced theme of her uniform. Get ready to show off your style with every kill!
    • Drone Skin: Even Ram’s drone gets a makeover, ensuring every part of your kit is Elite-ready.
    • Elite Victory Animation: This is always the highlight of any Elite set! Without giving too much away, prepare for an animation that perfectly encapsulates Ram’s destructive power and unwavering determination. Imagine the rubble, the dust, and Ram standing victorious amidst the chaos.
    • Elite Charm: A unique charm to proudly display on your weapons.

Why You Need This Elite Set

Beyond the undeniable cool factor, Ram’s Elite Set is a statement. It’s for the players who love to push the objective, who aren’t afraid to make an entrance, and who appreciate an Operator who brings raw power to the battlefield. It’s about celebrating Ram’s unique role in the meta and adding a new layer of immersion to your gameplay.

Whether you’re a Ram main or just appreciate exceptional design, the “Steel Sentinel” Elite Set is a must-have. It’s more than just cosmetics; it’s a way to personalise your experience and show off your dedication to the game.

So, what are you waiting for? Log into Rainbow Six Siege, grab the Ram Elite Set, and get ready to breach and clear with unparalleled style!
