Lock and load! Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 has officially arrived as of February 5, 2026, and with it comes a massive opportunity for everyone to jump into the action.
Whether you’re a veteran looking to test the new meta or a newcomer curious about the 2035 setting, here is what you need to know about the Season 2 Free Trial.
What’s Included in the Free Trial?
Activision is opening the gates to the full Multiplayer and Zombies experience. You’ll get a taste of the “Overclocked” gameplay without spending a dime:
- Multiplayer Access: Test your skills on the new Season 2 maps, including the return of the legendary Slums (remastered from BO2) and the new EGRT-17 Assault Rifle.
- Zombies: Round-based survival is back in full force. Squad up with the Dark Aether crew to uncover new secrets in the latest undead expansion.
- Ranked Play: With Season 2, Ranked Play is officially live. Use the trial to see if you have what it takes to climb the ladder.
Key Dates & Times
The trial typically runs for one week following the Season 2 launch.
- Start Date: February 5, 2026
- End Date: Expected February 12, 2026
- Double XP: Keep an eye out for a Double XP weekend, usually scheduled midway through the trial, to help you fast-track those weapon levels.
How to Join
- Navigate to your platform’s store (PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or Battle.net/Steam).
- Search for “Black Ops 7”.
- Look for the “Free Trial” or “Trial Version” download option.
- Download the client and jump straight into the Multiplayer or Zombies menus.
Note: If you’re a Warzone player, all your progress from the free trial—including weapon levels and Battle Pass XP—will carry over to your main account!
