    Put a big circle on your calendars for Late 2027! SQUARE ENIX has confirmed that KINGDOM HEARTS IV will officially launch in the latter half of 2027.

    While the wait might feel a bit long, the stunning new gameplay trailer shown at D23 proves it’s going to be worth every second. Powered by next-gen visuals, the new trailer showcased fluid combat, high-stakes traversal, and a deeper look at the mysterious world of Quadratum.

    Unveiling a New World: Disney and Pixar’s Coco

    The biggest highlight of the trailer was the premiere of a brand-new Disney world making its franchise debut: The Land of the Dead from Disney and Pixar’s Coco!

    In the trailer, Sora finds himself immersed in the vibrant, glowing world of Santa Cecilia and the Land of the Dead alongside Miguel. Fans got a glimpse of how the rich Mexican folklore, stunning marigold bridges, and skeletal alebrijes blend into Kingdom Hearts’ signature action-RPG gameplay.

    Seeing Sora navigate this colourful afterlife alongside Pixar characters marks an incredible expansion for the universe, proving that Pixar worlds are continuing to take centre stage in the franchise’s new saga.

    Big Surprise: Official Kingdom Hearts Anime Series in Development!

    As if a new world and release window weren’t enough, Disney dropped one more colossal announcement: An original Kingdom Hearts anime series is officially in development!

    Currently under the working title ‘Kingdom Hearts’, the anime is slated to release on Disney Channel and Disney+.

    Most importantly for longtime fans, the series is being developed in direct collaboration with Tetsuya Nomura and the core creative team at SQUARE ENIX. This ensures that the heart, style, and intricate storytelling of the original games will be faithfully preserved on screen. Whether it adapts the original games or tells an adjacent story remains under wraps, but the collaboration promises to deliver the authentic magic fans expect.

    This is something that we have been waiting for, it’s the new season of Futurama and while there are not many leaks on the content that we are about to see in this series, there is this introduction video from Hulu and there are plenty of clues as to where this is going, back to the classic Futurama that we know and love.

    It is hard to believe that this series has been around since 1999, when pizza delivery boy Fry delivered to a lab and was cryonically frozen for a thousand years, oh how we dream that this could be true! Once thawed out he begins to work for Planet Express and the rest is history! The best story is when his bank account is still active and it is amazing what a thousand years of interest can do to a small balance!
