Bordeaux-based indie studio Falling Leaves Studio is proud to announce their debut title — and it’s the sweetest digital package you’ll ever download. MyDear.exe, a heartfelt “interactive love letter” wrapped in a retro desktop interface, launches November 2nd, 2026 on Steam and Epic Games Store.
A Love Story Saved to Disk
You play as Ellie, sitting down at the family’s vintage computer to open a very special gift from her husband Lucien. After 57 years of life together, he’s hidden their story — photographs, handwritten notes, cherished memories, and tender secrets — folder by folder, across the hard drive. Every file is a memory; every puzzle is a reminder of the life they built side by side.
Foldervania — Explore a Desktop Full of Heart
MyDear.exe calls itself a “Foldervania” — blending non-linear exploration with a nostalgic Windows XP-style interface. You’ll navigate directories, unlock protected files, and piece together the timeline of Ellie and Lucien’s romance at your own gentle pace. No combat, no pressure — just quiet discovery, warm humour, and the kind of story that stays with you long after you close the window.
Puzzles, Minigames, and Tender Moments
Expect around two hours of cosy, heartfelt gameplay:
- Gentle puzzles rooted in the couple’s shared history — never frustrating, always meaningful
- Whimsical minigames inspired by their favourite pastimes and beloved pets
- No AI-generated content — every pixel, note, and memory is handcrafted with care
Demo Already Winning Hearts
A free demo is live right now on Steam, boasting 100% positive player reviews. It’s the perfect way to preview the warmth before the full release.
