The countdown is officially on, Loopers. Epic Games has finally dropped the live event teaser for Fortnite: Shattered, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most explosive narrative conclusions we’ve seen in years.
If you’ve been keeping up with the high-stakes political drama of Chapter 7, Season 2, you know things have been building to an absolute boiling point. Now, the stage is set for a blockbuster clash of titans that will literally reshape the island before Chapter 7, Season 3 rolls out.
Here is everything you need to know about the Shattered teaser and how to prepare for the end-of-season spectacle.
The Clash of Titans: Ice vs. Rock
The centrepiece of the Shattered teaser confirms what lore-hunters have suspected all season: a definitive, cataclysmic showdown between The Ice King and the legendary leader of The Seven, The Foundation (voiced, as always, by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson).
The teaser hints at a massive clash of elements and ideologies. On one side, the awakened Ice King is looking to plunge the map into total sub-zero oblivion. On the other hand, the Foundation is standing on the ground for the island’s safety.
A Customised Event Experience?
Word around the datamining community suggests that your experience during Shattered might depend heavily on the choices you made during the season. Reports indicate the live event could feature paths and perspectives customised around whether you aligned with Team Foundation or Team Ice King.
When is the Fortnite Shattered Live Event?
Epic Games isn’t making us wait long. The Shattered live event is scheduled for Friday, June 5.

What Happens After the Event?
The Shattered event will serve as the definitive epilogue to Season 2, but it’s also our gateway into the highly anticipated Chapter 7, Season 3 (codenamed Runners).
Insiders report that the live event will actually culminate in an exclusive, in-game teaser trailer reveal for the upcoming season just hours before the game goes offline for major maintenance. Once the dust clears from the battle between The Ice King and The Foundation, expect an extended downtime period as Epic deploys the next massive content update.
