Hotta Studio has officially rolled out the highly anticipated Version 1.2 update for Neverness to Everness (NTE), titled “999 Nights.” This isn’t just your standard content drop. Along with a massive influx of gameplay features, the supernatural open-world hit has shattered platform exclusivity. NTE is now officially live on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Samsung Galaxy Store, opening up the neon-lit streets of Hethereau to millions of new players.

    Welcome to the Warren Continent: A Tabletop Twist

    If you thought NTE was only about chasing modern anomalies down Hethereau’s back alleys, think again. Version 1.2 takes a delightfully meta detour.

    Following the heavy dramatic arcs of previous chapters, the crew at the Eibon Antique Shop is taking a breather. The centrepiece of this update is a brand-new, light-hearted main story episode where you and your companions delve into a fantasy tabletop RPG-style board game orchestrated by Mint.

    What to Expect in the “999 Nights” Mode:

    • The Warren Continent: A gorgeous, classic western-fantasy-inspired map completely different from the main urban aesthetic.
    • RPG Progression: Team up in a four-member party (The Appraiser, Mint, Shinku, and Iroi) to slay monsters, gather gear across 7 equipment slots, and take down the fearsome Crimson Dragon.
    • Permanent Replayability: This isn’t a fleeting event. The mode is a permanent addition to NTE, featuring randomised gear stats, unique armour set bonuses, and future map expansions.

    Meet the New Espers: Shinku & Iroi

    A major patch means major banners. Version 1.2 introduces two highly anticipated S-Class characters to expand your tactical roster:

    1. Shinku (Phase 1 — Live Now!)

    The star of the current limited banner, Shinku is an S-Class Cosmos Esper. She operates on a unique dual-kit mechanic, building up her Divine Spirit gauge in normal combat before unleashing absolute chaos in her “Surging Crimson” rampage form. Hotta Studio has already implemented day-one optimisations for her, boosting her target tracking and allowing her passives to stack outside of active combat for smoother overworld exploration.

    2. Iroi (Phase 2 — Arriving July 29)

    Following Shinku will be Iroi, a highly anticipated S-Class Anima Esper. Early looks suggest she will be a phenomenal support character, bringing massive utility, team buffs, and rotation optimisation to mainstream team compositions.
