He waited an extra couple of days, but he’s worth it. Brocap Studio is thrilled to announce that Hubert — winner of Best Game at Game Access 2026 — is officially out now on Steam!
The Fluffy Hero We’ve All Been Waiting For
Hubert isn’t just any shepherd dog — he’s overconfident, endlessly curious, and sees the world through scent, movement, and pure instinct rather than just sight. Alongside his partner Lily, a sharp-witted young girl who gave him his big break, you’ll herd a delightfully chaotic flock of sheep, follow your nose across rugged northern landscapes, and answer the call of the wilderness beyond the farm.
The journey to launch has been quite the adventure itself:
- Best Game winner at Game Access 2026
- Showcased at Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show
- Over 80,000 Steam wishlists and counting
- A brief two-day delay while Steam reviewed the build — making the eager pupper wait just a little longer than planned
But today, the wait is over. His herding career officially begins right now.
Why Everyone’s Falling for Hubert
What makes Hubert stand out from the pack is how it puts you squarely in a dog’s world. Scent-tracking guides you through hidden paths; instinct shapes how you read the land; and every interaction feels like something only Hubert would do. It’s warm, funny, heartfelt, and genuinely unlike anything else you’ll play this year.
From herding stubborn sheep on the farm to venturing deeper into untamed territory, this is a story about friendship, courage, and — as the team charmingly puts it — “a dog barking at sheep”.
The PS5 version isn’t far behind either, with a release date to be announced shortly.
Go give this very good boy the welcome he deserves — Hubert is out now on Steam
