  • Don’t Look Down: Free ‘The Nest’ Update Shadowdrops for Horror Climbing Roguelite White Knuckle

Don’t Look Down: Free ‘The Nest’ Update Shadowdrops for Horror Climbing Roguelite White Knuckle

If you suffer from a fear of heights—or a fear of things that go bump in the dark while you’re dangling 10,000 meters in the air—look away now. For the rest of the thrill-seeking stegophiles (that’s wall-climbing enthusiasts to you and me), it’s time to chalk up your hands.

In a surprise move today, developer Dark Machine Games and indie horror heavyweights DreadXP shadowdropped The Nest Update, a massive, completely free content expansion for their first-person roguelite speed-climber, White Knuckle.

To celebrate the surprise launch, a stellar new gameplay trailer has dropped, showcasing the deeply expanded (and deeply terrifying) nightmare awaiting players on Steam. Check out the trailer and get ready to sweat through your controller.

    What is White Knuckle?

For the uninitiated, White Knuckle is a high-octane, lo-fi blend of Mirror’s Edge precision and intense physiological horror. Players are tasked with ascending through the gut-wrenching, industrial decay of SUB-STRUCTURE 17.

Every move requires deliberate stamina management. You use momentum-based mechanics to swing hand-over-hand, hammer pitons into crumbling concrete, and manage a limited inventory—all while a malicious, angry sludge oozes up from the abyss below. If your grip fails or you carry too much weight, eternity awaits you at the bottom.

Welcome to ‘The Nest’: What’s New?

The Nest Update marks the arrival of the campaign’s fifth major region (out of seven planned for the game’s full 1.0 release). Described as a subterranean “alien jungle,” this update shifts the game’s horror into overdrive by introducing unpredictable environments and dangerous wildlife.

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect when you load up the game today:

    • Dynamic Environments: The Nest features shifting layout mechanics. After surviving the starting zone, your path will randomly morph between the Infested Labs or the Hot Zone, before funnelling you into the terrifying Feeding Trough.
    • The Endless Mode: Think you’re a master climber? Beating The Nest region unlocks an entirely new Endless Mode to truly test your reflexes and endurance against global leaderboards.
    • Terrifying New Denizens: It’s not just the height you have to worry about anymore. The jungle is crawling with creepy new threats, including Spider Swarmers, packs of Grub Ants, and shambling, zombie-like Barnacle Zombies.
    • New Tools of the Trade: To help combat the horde, the update introduces The Handgun (a much-needed bit of firepower), new Signal Orchids to hang on to, and powerful new artefacts like The Rapier and The Barnacle Hook.

Note to Climbers: White Knuckle is currently in Steam Early Access with a full 1.0 release slated for 2027. If you haven’t picked it up yet, the developers have warned that the game will see a price increase following the upcoming Steam sales, making today the perfect time to grab it at a discount!

    Watch the New Trailer

The newly released trailer perfectly highlights the frantic balance between tight platforming and absolute panic. Watch as the developer expands White Knuckle in a wild, creature-filled direction that elevates the tension to a whole new level:

White Knuckle: The Nest Update is live right now on Steam. Grab your gear, watch your stamina, and whatever you do… don’t look down.

  • The Battle for National Pride: PUBG Nations Cup 2026 Trailer Drops and Action Kicks Off!

The Battle for National Pride: PUBG Nations Cup 2026 Trailer Drops and Action Kicks Off!

The wait is officially over, battle royale fans! Krafton has unleashed the official teaser trailer for the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2026, and it is every bit the adrenaline-fueled, action-packed spectacle you’d expect. The hype has reached a boiling point as the tournament kicks off its intense survival showdown.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check out the heart-pounding preview below and get ready for international esports at its absolute finest:

Watch the PNC 2026 Trailer Here:

The Ultimate Esports Showdown in Seoul

PNC 2026 brings the tournament back to the legendary esports hub of Seoul, South Korea. Running from June 23 to June 28, this year’s iteration features a massive roster expansion. For only the second time in the event’s history, 24 all-star national teams are locking horns to see which country rules the battlegrounds.

The stakes? Massive bragging rights, national pride, and a slice of a staggering $500,000 USD base prize pool (plus crowdfunding boosts from the PNC 2026 Event Pass!).

    The PNC 2026 Roadmap

The tournament is split into two ruthless stages designed to separate the elite from the rest:

    • The Survival Stage (June 23 – June 24): Streaming live from PUBG Seongsu. The lower-ranked teams fight through a gruelling 10-match gauntlet just to earn a spot on the main stage.
    • The Grand Finals (June 26 – June 28): Moving to the historic Jangchung Arena. The top 8 auto-qualified teams from PNC 2025 will meet the survivors of the group stage for a 15-match showdown in front of a roaring live crowd.

New Year, New Rules: Meta Shifts to TPP

This isn’t just the same old PUBG. Krafton is mixing things up significantly for the 2026 circuit. For starters, PNC 2026 is moving to a Third-Person Perspective (TPP) format, aligning esports mode settings closely with Ranked queue loot and Bluezone dynamics.

Additionally, the Bluezone damage model has been overhauled—damage now scales based on how long you linger in the blue, rather than your distance from the safe zone. Combined with faster-moving Sandstorms and earlier Special Zones, the gameplay showcased in the trailer promises faster rotations, chaotic skirmishes, and relentless pressure.

How to Get Involved and Score Free G-Coin

Even if you aren’t competing on stage in Seoul, Krafton is giving fans plenty of reasons to tune in:

    1. Fan Cheer Event: Head over to the official Krafton ID portal, link your account, and vote for your favourite country (let’s go Team UK!). Daily voting increases your chances of winning up to 5,000 G-Coins.
    2. Twitch/YouTube Drops: Link your accounts and watch the live broadcasts to score exclusive PNC 2026 in-game loot, including the PNC 2026 Jacket, emblems, and victory sprays.

With Vietnam returning to defend their crown, and powerhouse nations like South Korea, China, and the USA hungry for redemption, PNC 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest event of the summer.

  • Crowned Sun: IndigoWare Reveals Afro-Brazilian Fantasy MMORPG on Steam

Crowned Sun: IndigoWare Reveals Afro-Brazilian Fantasy MMORPG on Steam

The MMORPG space is about to get a massive infusion of fresh culture and classical mechanics. IndigoWare has officially announced Crowned Sun, an upcoming free-to-play 3D isometric MMORPG rooted deeply in Yoruba, Candomblé, and Afro-Brazilian mythology.

If you’ve been waiting for an online RPG that steps away from traditional Eurocentric fantasy, this is the one to watch. The game’s Steam page is officially live, and players can now add it to their wishlists ahead of its planned Early Access launch.

A Love Letter to Classic MMOs

For veterans of the genre, Crowned Sun is going to feel like a warm, nostalgic embrace. IndigoWare is explicitly pitching the game as a love letter to iconic isometric classics like Ragnarok Online and Tree of Savior, while drawing structural inspiration from modern giants like Final Fantasy XIV.

The game features a beloved staple of old-school progression: a classic dual-levelling system. Players will scale their character’s power across two parallel tracks—a Base Level earned through raw exploration and combat, and a Job Level that defines their specific class specialisation and mechanical path.

    Step Into the Mirage Kingdom

Set in a vibrant, cel-shaded fantasy world called the Mirage Kingdom, Crowned Sun moves away from typical tropes to explore a rich cultural tapestry built with genuine care, rather than exoticism. The setting features lush biomes, ancient stone shrines wrapped in greenery, and an original soundtrack heavily influenced by Afro-diasporic rhythms.

Players will begin their journey by choosing one of four distinct playable peoples, each carrying their own unique lore, identity, and combat feel:

    • Humans: Highly versatile and resilient.
    • Iwin: Forest-touched spirits intimately connected to nature.
    • Egbere: Shadow-bound damage dealers who happily trade defensive stats for raw power.
    • Ere: Childlike spirits that introduce unique tactical twists to the battlefield.

    Deep Progression and Spirit Wars

At the heart of the game’s mechanics is the “Orisha Echoes” system—a progression mechanic woven directly into the world and storytelling that pays homage to the forces of the orixás.

Crowned Sun isn’t cutting corners on standard MMO features either. IndigoWare is promising a complete suite of social and competitive systems right out of the gate, including:

    • Parties, Guilds, and a dedicated Party Finder
    • Pets, Mounts, and Mercenaries to aid you in battle
    • Instanced Spirit Trials for cooperative PvE challenges
    • Large-scale Spirit War battles for competitive players

    Development in the Open

Crowned Sun is targeting a full 1.0 release in 2027, but PC players will get their hands on it much sooner via Steam Early Access. Crucially, it features cross-platform support across Windows, macOS, and Linux/SteamOS, meaning Steam Deck users can take the Mirage Kingdom on the go.

IndigoWare intends to develop the game “in the open,” working closely alongside the community to tune job balance, shape end-game Spirit War content, and design entirely new mythology-inspired regions.

Ready to join the hunt? You can head over to the Crowned Sun Steam Page right now to check out the initial trailers, review system requirements, and add the game to your wishlist!

  • Here Comes The Swarm Drops Massive Early Access Update: Meet the New Deity, Yangwu!

Here Comes The Swarm Drops Massive Early Access Update: Meet the New Deity, Yangwu!

Surviving the alien hordes in Ulora just got a serious strategic upgrade. Indie developer CableHook Games has officially rolled out its third major content update for the Steam Early Access hit, Here Comes The Swarm.

Marking the successful completion of the team’s initial development roadmap, this latest drop is packed to the brim with meta-changing mechanics, massive quality-of-life improvements, and a brand-new deity designed to supercharge your resource management.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to dive back into this tense, tactical-pause survival RTS, this is it. Here is everything you need to know about the latest update.

Bow Down to Yangwu: The Ultimate Economic Powerhouse

The star of this update is undoubtedly Yangwu, an all-new deity tailored specifically for players who love optimising their economy and settlement layout. If your strategy relies on massive resource production and creating late-game synergies, Yangwu is about to become your go-to choice.

Yangwu introduces an entire suite of economy-boosting blessings and mechanics:

    • The Yangwu Workshop: A brand-new buildable workshop that increases the production of nearby buildings by a whopping 30%.
    • Hand of Yangwu: Start your skirmish with Yangwu’s Bracelet, a powerful relic that earns Tribute from kills, chests, and shrines. Deposit this Tribute at your workshop to unlock massive global buffs.
    • Disconnected Efficiency: In a brilliant twist for base layout flexibility, Yangwu’s blessings allow production buildings not connected to your main Core to operate with an additional 30% effectiveness.
    • Resource Abundance: From spawning an extra Geyser near your Core to offering a 20% refund value on dead units and demolished buildings, Yangwu ensures your war chest stays full.

    New Essences & Tactical Overhauls

Alongside Yangwu, CableHook Games has expanded the game’s roguelike customisation with a variety of new Essences. You can now experiment with boons like Compound Interest (which increases your production income based on stored resources) or Tent Subsidies to generate extra Blood Rubies from your dwellings.

Furthermore, the mechanics for disconnected structures have been completely reworked across the board. Previously, any building cut off from your Core would shut down entirely. Now, they will continue to operate at a baseline of 40% efficiency—keeping your economy alive even when the Swarm breaches your perimeter.

Quality-of-Life Upgrades: Better Intelligence, Smoother Battles

You can’t fight what you can’t see, and this update gives players much better tools to anticipate incoming attacks. The minimap has received a major overhaul:

    • Wave Visibility: Enemy waves and their exact spawn ranges are now permanently visible on your minimap.
    • Early Warning System: Wave locations are now announced a full two minutes in advance across all difficulty settings, giving you ample time to position your armies and fortify your walls.
    • Clarity Timers: New countdown timers and tooltips display exactly how much preparation time you have left before the bugs arrive.

The patch also brings extensive under-the-hood performance optimisations (specifically targeting rendering jitter and Ballista projectiles) alongside a long list of community-requested bug fixes, including fixes for unit pathfinding and clipping.

What’s Next for Here Comes The Swarm?

With the initial roadmap officially cleared, CableHook Games isn’t slowing down. The developers have already updated the in-game roadmap to tease what’s on the horizon—including three more major content updates and a highly anticipated, fully-fledged story campaign.

Have you tried out Yangwu yet? Let us know your ultimate economy builds in the comments below!

Here Comes The Swarm successfully blends the intense, nail-biting survival of They Are Billions with the tactical flexibility of a roguelike deckbuilder. If you haven’t played it yet, you can grab it right now on Steam Early Access—and yes, there’s currently a playable demo if you want to test your defences first!

  • Wield the Beat: Alpha Nomos Drops Stunning New Gameplay Trailer

Wield the Beat: Alpha Nomos Drops Stunning New Gameplay Trailer

Indie studio RibCage Games has just dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated title, Alpha Nomos. If you’ve been craving a game that seamlessly blends the pulse-pounding precision of Hi-Fi Rush with the unpredictable, addictive loop of Hades, this is the title you need to put on your radar immediately.

Check out the fresh trailer and see why music isn’t just a backing track in this world—it’s the absolute law.

Combat Where the Soundtrack Is Your Weapon

In Alpha Nomos, you step into the strings of Cello, a tiny puppet adventurer navigating a vibrant, melody-twisted world overrun by rogue, corrupted puppets. A mysterious force has silenced the world’s music, and it’s up to you to hack, slash, and orchestrate absolute chaos to bring the rhythm back.

What sets this rhythm-action roguelite apart is its uncompromising “music-as-mechanic” philosophy. The developers didn’t just bolt a rhythm meter onto a standard action game; everything lives and breathes on the beat.

Here is what makes Alpha Nomos strike a chord:

    • Rhythm-Driven Combat: Timing your attacks to the beat unlocks devastating combos and ramps up your damage. Missing a beat? The game plays a literal wrong note on purpose to let you know you’re out of tune.
    • Live-Recorded Musical Weapons: Forget standard swords and shields. You’ll be wielding instruments (like the mighty SaXword) where every sound has been recorded live by real musicians.
    • Audio-Effect Powerups: Roguelite runs will grant you powerups based on real-world audio effects like Reverb, Flanger, and Delay. These don’t just change your combat stats—they literally alter how your attacks sound.
    • Runs That Compose Themselves: Because every weapon and power-up alters the audio landscape, every single roguelite run generates a completely unique musical track based on how you play.

“We didn’t want rhythm bolted on top of an action game; we wanted it to be the action. Every hit, every dodge, every upgrade lives on the beat.” > — RibCage Games

    Play the Demo Right Now!

If the trailer whets your appetite, you won’t have to wait to get your hands on it. RibCage Games has released an updated, expanded demo on Steam featuring a tighter combat loop, new enemy encounters, and a chance to test out Cello’s rhythm-driven arsenal for yourself.

The full game is slated for a Q3 2026 launch on PC, so head over to Steam, try the demo, and get it on your wishlist today!

  • The Division 2 Goes Radical: “Into the Dark” Trailer Teases Massive Dark Zone Overhaul and Lethal New PvE Modes!

The Division 2 Goes Radical: “Into the Dark” Trailer Teases Massive Dark Zone Overhaul and Lethal New PvE Modes!

Agents, it is time to recalibrate your builds and restock your ammo. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have officially dropped the launch trailer for The Division 2: Into the Dark (Year 8, Season 2), and it is completely flipping the script on how we look at Washington D.C.’s most dangerous sectors.

With Black Tusk temporarily pushed back, a familiar enemy has stepped into the power vacuum with a terrifying upgrade. The Hyenas are back, and they are flooding the streets with a highly potent, pain-resistant formula of “Spice.”

Check out the breakdown of what the brutal new launch trailer reveals, and why you’ll want to log back into the grid immediately.

    Watch the Official Launch Trailer

Welcome to the Toxic Dark Zone (Yes, a PvE DZ!)

For years, the Dark Zone has been a hotbed of high-stakes extraction tension and Rogue Agent betrayals. Into the Dark is shaking up that foundational formula by introducing rotating Dark Zone rulesets, headlined by the community’s long-requested feature: a dedicated PvE Dark Zone experience.

Known as the Toxic Dark Zone, this seasonal variant deactivates Rogue protocols entirely. Player-versus-player damage is turned off, meaning up to 12 Agents can share the space and work together as a unified front.

But don’t expect a walk in the park:

    • The Toxicity Mechanic: The entire zone is covered in a hazardous contamination that builds up debuffs the longer you stay inside.
    • Buffed Hyenas: You’ll face hyper-aggressive Hyena factions jacked up on Potent Spice, making them faster, tougher, and much harder to bring down.
    • The Objective: Infiltrate, survive the rising environmental toxicity, and secure Sample Canisters to disrupt the Hyena operation.

For the purists, don’t worry—the Balanced Dark Zone (featuring high-level normalisation with SHD Watch/Expertise disabled for pure skill-based PvP) and the traditional Classic Dark Zone are rotating right alongside it.

High-Tier Loot Updates & Exotic Economy Buffs

If you love hunting for Exotics, Into the Dark is giving you plenty of reasons to grind. Massive is significantly buffing the economy and reward systems:

    • Exotic Component Drop Rates: Landmark chests in the PvP Dark Zones now boast a massive 40% drop chance for Exotic components (25% in the Toxic PvE DZ). Furthermore, Heroic Landmark bosses in PvP zones now feature a whopping 48% drop rate for Exotics.
    • New Weapons & Gear Sets: Keep an eye out for the new Ortiz: Reficere gear set (built heavily around rapid-application nanite healing) and two brand-new Exotics: the Caduceus Assault Rifle and the Underboss SMG.
    • Quality of Life Updates: Dark Zone spawn points now feature a brief invulnerability window to put a definitive end to toxic door-camping.

Agent Note: Later this season, players can also look forward to a brand-new Incursion titled Steel Creek, plus two fresh Classified Assignments to expand the narrative.

    The Verdict

The Division 2 continues to prove that it isn’t just surviving seven years in; it’s actively evolving. By introducing structural PvP overhauls alongside an unpredictable, highly contaminated PvE Dark Zone loop, Into the Dark gives both solo survivalists and hardcore PvP squads a fresh reason to brave the capital.

The update is live right now. Grab your squad, watch your toxicity levels, and don’t let the Hyenas take the capital.

Are you diving straight into the Toxic PvE Dark Zone, or testing your builds in the balanced PvP brackets? Let us know your thoughts on the new trailer in the comments below!

  • Slacking Off at Work Just Got an Upgrade: Duelist: Idle Expedition Drops New Free Steam Demo Ahead of Steam Next Fest

Slacking Off at Work Just Got an Upgrade: Duelist: Idle Expedition Drops New Free Steam Demo Ahead of Steam Next Fest

If your boss asks why your productivity is looking a bit “automated” lately, you can officially blame developer One Interactive Studio and publisher Infini Fun.

The duo has just unleashed an updated free Steam demo for Duelist: Idle Expedition, giving us an early look at the hand-drawn, JRPG-inspired pixel art auto-battler before it launches later this year. And yes, it is specifically designed to live right on your taskbar.

With Steam Next Fest just around the corner, this updated slice of the game is the perfect excuse to assemble an elite squad of duelists and let them do all the heavy lifting while you “excel” at your actual day job.

    The Perfect Taskbar Companion

Let’s be honest: the best idle games are the ones that respect your time (or lack thereof). Duelist: Idle Expedition embraces this completely. Your travelling Guild fights, grows, and adventures across the Continent completely automatically.

While you are grinding through spreadsheets, your pixelated squad is grinding through monsters, collecting mountains of gold, and looting rare gear. When you check back in, you get all the dopamine of a massive RPG level-up without any of the carpal tunnel.

But don’t let the “idle” tag fool you—there is a surprising amount of strategic depth cooked into this retro-styled world.

    Deep Customisation Meets Camp Management

If you want to min-max your passive progress, Duelist: Idle Expedition gives you plenty of tools to play with:

    • Massive Team Variety: You can mix and match from 91 unique roles to find the ultimate combat synergies. Every single character features individual pixel animations and skill effects.
    • A Deep Loot Loop: There are over 200 items to hunt for, including 60+ class-exclusive Legendary Equipment pieces. Plus, an enchantment system lets you tailor gear stats to your exact strategy.
    • Camp Progression: Back at base camp, you’ll manage a growing economy. You can upgrade the Tavern to recruit new talent (and make money off their drinks), use the Blacksmith to forge superior gear, and let the Shopkeeper flip your battlefield spoils into cold, hard cash.

    What’s in the Updated Demo?

The latest build refined the early-game tutorial flow, smoothed out combat balance, and optimised the UI based on early player feedback. It gives players a hefty hands-on look at the core loop: recruiting duelists, unlocking regional combat styles, upgrading facilities, and taking down rival Guilds.

If you love retro JRPG aesthetics but simply don’t have 80 hours to actively sink into a traditional turn-based grind anymore, this is absolutely one to watch.

Duelist: Idle Expedition is slated for a full release in Q3 2026. You can download the updated free demo right now and throw it on your Steam Wishlist ahead of Steam Next Fest.

  • From Bubblegum PvP to Open-World Sci-Fi: Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet Announced for Nintendo Switch 2!

From Bubblegum PvP to Open-World Sci-Fi: Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet Announced for Nintendo Switch 2!

The colourful, high-energy world of Ninja-Gum action is getting a massive, universe-sized upgrade. GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) has officially announced Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet, a bold next step for the franchise that is completely flipping the script on what fans expect.

After amassing over 11 million downloads with the original free-to-play arena battler, GOEA is leaving Earth behind. Revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct, Ninjala 2 is shifting gears from a PvP arena brawler into a sprawling open-world action game launching exclusively on the next-gen Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

A New Frontier: Leaving the Arena Behind

If you thought Ninjala was just about knocking out opponents in city arenas, think again. Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet serves as the first instalment of an ambitious two-part saga.

The story kicks off back at the WNA Academy, where a mysterious stranger tricks our young protagonist into breaking a “Forbidden Seal.” The result? The entire academy is violently catapulted across the cosmos, marooning the students on a strange, untamed alien planet. To make matters worse, breaking the seal also unleashes the sinister Prime Tetrad of the Xenos Army.

Stranded millions of miles from home, you’ll have to team up with familiar faces (like Lucy, Berecca, and Van) alongside new allies to survive, master dormant powers, and find a way back to Earth.

    Open-World Exploration & Co-Op Survival

Instead of localised matches, players will now traverse vast, nature-rich landscapes at their own pace. GOEA is leaning heavily into PvE (Player vs. Environment) content, replacing competitive lobbies with quest-driven exploration.

    Key Gameplay Features to Expect:

    • Enhanced Ninja-Gum Mobility: The signature high-speed movement is back, but optimised for open-world traversal. Players will use a new Gum Hook, glide with Gum Balloons, and execute Gum Boosts to scale massive alien cliffs and zip across valleys.
    • Solo or 4-Player Co-Op: You can brave the alien wilderness entirely solo, or team up with up to four friends in local or online co-op to conquer dungeons and take down colossal alien bosses.
    • RPG Mechanics: Combat is getting a deeper layer of complexity. The sequel introduces weapon attributes, an item crafting system, and even a cooking mechanic utilising materials gathered in the wild.

Play It Early (And Watch the Anime for Free)

Can’t wait until 2027 to get your hands on it? GOEA has confirmed that a playable demo will be available at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles at the West Hall booth (#2316). The demo will feature two courses: a Planetary Exploration Course to try out the new combat, and a Photography Course for sightseeing. Attendees who play will also score a limited-edition keepsake.

Additionally, to bridge the narrative gap, GungHo is unlocking the first 63 episodes of the Ninjala anime for free on the official Ninjala YouTube channel. Episodes will drop sequentially starting Friday, June 12, allowing fans to catch up on the lore leading directly into the events of Ninjala 2.

The transition from a free-to-play PvP title to a full-scale open-world sci-fi adventure is a massive gamble, but given the processing power of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, it might just be the evolution this franchise needs.

  • Slay Gods on the Go: Lords of the Fallen II Drops Brutal Trailer, Confirmed for Nintendo Switch in 2026!

Slay Gods on the Go: Lords of the Fallen II Drops Brutal Trailer, Confirmed for Nintendo Switch in 2026!

Nintendo Direct just completely flipped the script for Soulslike fans. In a massive surprise drop, independent developer CI Games revealed a blood-soaked, brutal new gameplay trailer for Lords of the Fallen II—and standard platforms aren’t the only ones getting the action. For the first time in the history of the franchise, the series is coming to a Nintendo platform, officially locking in a Nintendo Switch™ 2 release for Autumn 2026.

If you thought portable gaming meant compromising on grimdark aesthetics and crushing difficulty, think again. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming sequel.

Next-Gen Power in the Palm of Your Hand

Bringing a massive, dual-realm action-RPG to a portable system is no small feat, but CI Games is swinging for the fences. Running on Unreal Engine 5, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Lords of the Fallen II is targeting a stable 30 frames per second in both handheld and docked modes.

Thanks to an engineering collaboration between CI Games, Epic Games, and Nintendo, the game will utilise cutting-edge Nanite and Lumen technology. This means Switch 2 players can expect high-poly character models and fully dynamic global illumination while exploring the parallel worlds of Axiom and Umbral.

“Our team is hard at work to ensure Lords of the Fallen II’s signature dark fantasy world and fast, brutal combat translate directly to the Nintendo Switch 2,” said Game Director James Lowe. “We’re confident it will be a fantastic way to play.”

    “Bolder, Braver, and Bloodier”

CI Games isn’t just porting the franchise; they are evolving it. Building on community feedback from the 2023 entry (which recently crossed a massive milestone of 8 million players), the sequel aims to be significantly more aggressive.

What can players expect from the new gameplay?

    • Faster, More Responsive Combat: An overhauled system featuring brutal executions and visceral dismemberments.
    • Expanded World & Enemies: A richer setting featuring biome-specific enemy factions and far more dynamic boss encounters.
    • Shared-Progression Co-op: No more jumping through hoops to play with friends—full co-op progression will be available right at launch.

    Launching Autumn 2026

Lords of the Fallen II is doubling down on a “players first” approach, ensuring no community is left behind. The dark fantasy epic will launch simultaneously across PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Whether you’re looking to challenge monolithic bosses from the comfort of your couch or slay gods during your morning commute, 2026 is shaping up to be an incredible year for Lampbearers.

Lords of the Fallen II is available to wishlist right now on all platforms.

Cults & Creatures: Why Monster Zoo Tycoon is the Darkly Comedic Management Sim We Need

Remember the golden era of management sims? You’d spend hours carefully placing paths, designing the perfect habitats, and making sure your guests had enough burger venues to stay happy.

Well, throw out the cotton candy and grab your ritual robes. Revealed fresh out of the IGN Live Indie Loop showcase, Monster Zoo Tycoon is taking the classic tycoon formula and dragging it kicking and screaming into the underworld. Developed by Overpowered Team and published by indie.io, this upcoming title tasks you with building a bustling monster park… that doubles as a front for a literal secret cult.

    Talk about a corporate pivot.

    The Ultimate Two-Front Management Chaos

On the surface, your job is simple: build a family-friendly destination featuring the world’s most spectacular supernatural entities. We’re talking vampires, zombies, werewolves, and full-blown world-ending horrors.

But behind the scenes, you aren’t just managing ticket prices. You’re running a subterranean organisation dedicated to the Dark Lord.

Guest Management Takes on a Whole New Meaning

In a normal tycoon game, an unhappy guest leaves a bad review. In Monster Zoo Tycoon, a guest is a resource. You can lure unsuspecting visitors through your gates and use devious traps—disguised as harmless park props—to capture them. Once you have them, you face some choices:

    • Feed them: Some of your high-tier monsters require a steady diet of brains or souls to stay happy.
    • Brainwash them: Turn them into loyal cultists to expand your behind-the-scenes workforce.
    • Sacrifice them: Offer them up to generate Faith, which unlocks powerful Dark Lord’s Favours, new facilities, and worse hazards.

Navigating PR Disasters and Blood Rituals

Naturally, keeping a lid on this operation isn’t going to be easy. If you thought a broken-down roller coaster was a headache, try managing a werewolf breakout during peak park hours.

If containment fails, your escaped creatures will attack visitors, spreading absolute chaos and triggering disastrous chain reactions. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also have to actively dodge nosy reporters, government investigators, and rival saboteurs who smell something fishy in the gift shop.

“Between monster breakouts, suspicious disappearances, public relations disasters, and the occasional blood ritual, keeping the zoo running is easier said than done.”

From sending cultists on wild expeditions to hunt down new legendary monsters to upgrading your roadside attraction into a global hub of supernatural terror, the gameplay loop looks incredibly addictive, deeply funny, and beautifully chaotic.

    Wishlist It Now

If you’re ready to trade in your panda enclosures for vampire crypts and blood sacrifices, Monster Zoo Tycoon is officially available to wishlist on Steam. Keep your eyes on TechMash for more updates, trailers, and release date announcements as they drop.
