Westeros is calling once again, and this time, the dragons are front and centre. Warner Bros. Games and HBO have officially opened global pre-registration for Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, a brand-new free-to-play mobile strategy game that takes us back to the golden age of House Targaryen.
If you’ve been missing the high-stakes political manoeuvring and scaly aerial warfare of House of the Dragon, this is the mobile experience you’ve been waiting for.
What is Game of Thrones: Dragonfire?
Set 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, Dragonfire is a 4X strategy title developed by Warner Bros. Games Boston. Unlike previous GoT mobile titles, this one is heavily inspired by the House of the Dragon era, focusing on the sheer power and tactical utility of the dragons themselves.
Players will step into the boots of a Valyrian descendant, tasked with:
- Hatching and Raising Dragons: You aren’t just commanding generic units; you’ll collect, hatch, and train iconic dragons like Syrax, Caraxes, and Seasmoke.
- Building Your House: Establish your stronghold, manage resources, and expand your influence across a tile-based map of Westeros.
- Tactical Warfare: Engage in large-scale PvP and PvE battles, launching sieges against rival factions to claim the Iron Throne.
- Seasonal “Reigns”: The game will feature eight-week seasons known as Reigns, packed with story-driven campaigns and massive community events.
