The eternal timeline burns cold — and a demigod breaks free. KRAFTON and creative studio Eleventh Hour Games (EHG) have officially launched Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn for their hit action RPG Last Epoch, bringing new threats, new powers, and a major shift in leadership to one of the genre’s most beloved titles.
Morditas Rises — The Seasonal Challenge
At the heart of Season 5 is Rage of Morditas, a dynamic new encounter that unfolds as you play. From Chapter 2 of the campaign and throughout your Echoes journeys, you’ll discover Blood Crystals — ancient, pulsing remnants of the imprisoned demigod. Activate one, and the hunt begins:
- A Shade of Morditas tracks you, counting down to an explosive reckoning
- Slay enemies to extend the timer — rare foes grant more time and greater fury
- Accumulate Bloodrage Charges to tailor your rewards — choose what drops, and how powerful it is
- Face Morditas himself, then rise to meet the ultimate test: the Pinnacle Morditas
It’s not just survival — it’s choice. Shape the loot you earn, push your build to the breaking point, and prove you can outlast a god.
New Skills, New Gear, New Horizons
Season 5 supercharges character building across the board:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| 3 New Mastery Skills | Fresh power for your builds — including the radiant Radiant Lance and devastating melee combos |
| Unique & Set Items | Legendary gear such as Caretaker’s Wrath — a two-handed great axe built for earth-shattering synergy |
| Rebuilt Circle of Fortune | Divination systems reimagined for deeper strategic choice |
| Reworked Merchant’s Guild | Smoother trading, better value, more control over your economy |
| Season Duration | Live now — limited-time seasonal journey |
A New Chapter for Last Epoch
Alongside the launch, EHG has announced that Mike Weicker — co-founder and technical game designer since 2017 — has stepped into the role of Game Director. Having shepherded the project through nearly a decade of growth, Weicker takes the reins as the game enters its boldest phase yet.
“We’re building on everything that makes Last Epoch feel like home,” Weicker said. “Season 5 brings the fury — and the players get to decide how hot it burns.”
Join the Fight — Timeline Awaits
