Powered by Flesh, Driven by Fear — Magnavis Surfaces as Digital Vortex’s Next Deep-Sea Horror

Digital Vortex Entertainment is no stranger to the terrors of the deep. Fresh from unveiling DREADMOOR — their flooded-world fishing adventure launching into Early Access November 9 — the publisher is diving even further below the waves with its next announcement: Magnavis, a grotesque co-op submarine horror survival game from Istanbul-based indie studio Vorles Games.

And this isn’t any ordinary sub. This one breathes.

A Vessel Made of Living Things

In the sunken depths of the Red Seas, humanity clings to survival in isolated underwater stations. You and your crew are employees of Hydra Corp, dispatched into the abyss aboard a submarine unlike any built before:

Powered by preserved whale organs. Pulsing, biological machinery. No clean steel engines — just throbbing, living systems that demand constant care, feeding, and repair.

It’s gross. It’s brilliant. And if it fails, you die.

How You Survive — Together or Alone

Magnavis is built for 1–4 players, with every role vital and every moment tense:

    Run the Vessel

    • Steer from the helm, monitor the periscope, balance the engine core, and keep oxygen flowing
    • Weld catastrophic leaks before pressure crushes the hull
    • Repair failing systems — the submarine fights back as hard as the monsters outside

    Silence Is Your Shield

    • Proximity chat means your voice carries only as far as your crew — drift apart and you’re deaf to each other
    • Noise draws attention. Light draws eyes. Speak too loud, and something will listen

    Face What Lurks Below

    • Procedurally generated caves and stations — no two dives are the same
    • Creatures that hunt by sound and light, actively tracking your every move
    • Bioengineered weapons to fight back — or flee, if you’re smart enough

    Play Your Way

    • Full single-player support — brave the abyss solo
    • “Silent Crew” mode — simplifies complex puzzles so solo players can focus purely on survival
    • “Comms Critical” — for teams wanting maximum coordination pressure

A demo is already live on Steam — try it before you commit to the deep.

Why Digital Vortex? — The Depths Call Twice

It’s no accident this follows DREADMOOR. Digital Vortex says they’re fascinated by what the water hides — and they’re building a whole publishing identity around it:

“We believe in games that don’t just take place in the dark — they make you feel it. Whether fishing a drowned world or crewing a sub that breathes, the ocean holds our most primal fears. Magnavis is our deepest yet.”

    • DREADMOOR — launches Early Access 9 November 2026 (flooded surface world, fishing & survival)
    • Magnavis — coming to Early Access via Steam, release date TBA (the abyss itself, crewed horror)
    • Both from Digital Vortex Entertainment — both prove the water is never empty

    What Lies Beneath

You can wishlist Magnavis right now on Steam, download the demo, and join the community on Discord. The full Early Access release is targeted for roughly 6–8 months after launch, shaped closely by player feedback.

The submarine is ready. The organs are beating. But something in the dark is listening.
