Face the Ambush: Ravenswatch Drops Massive ‘Songs of Thieves’ Update Across All Platforms

Attention, Ravens! It’s time to rally your squad and sharpen your blades because Reverie just got a whole lot more dangerous. Publisher NACON and developer Passtech Games have officially deployed Songs of Thieves, the latest major free update for the hit roguelike action-RPG, Ravenswatch.

Whether you play on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch™, the update is live right now and ready to download.

If you thought you had a handle on the Nightmares, think again. There’s a new threat lurking in the shadows, and they’re after your hard-earned loot. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect when you jump back into the fray.

What’s New in the ‘Songs of Thieves’ Update?

This free update is packed to the brim with community-requested features, fresh mechanics, and a brand-new enemy faction that will completely alter your run strategies.

    • The Thieves Faction Arrives: Reverie is being ambushed by three new types of agile foes—the Brigand (melee), the Marksman (ranged), and the lethal Assassin (elite).
    • Thieves’ Stashes & Secret Rooms: Scattered across Dark Hills, Storm Island, and Avalon, you’ll discover hidden hideouts containing four distinct room types. Take on trap-filled Combat rooms, load your pockets in Treasure rooms, challenge yourself in Cursed rooms, or use the spooky Magic Mirror room to duplicate your favourite items.
    • Unlock Powerful Melodies: Keep an eye out for Magical Harps. Gathering musical notes allows you to recompose up to 12 distinct Melodies, applying massive, run-wide buffs to your entire party—like the Tortoise Melody for a 20% speed boost or the Long John Silver Melody to reveal map markers.
    • Watch out for Stingy Jack: This sneaky new nuisance will literally rob chests right in front of you and bolt. Chase him down and smack him to reclaim your stolen Dream Shards and Magical Objects!
    • The Long-Awaited Multiplayer Pause: Finally! You can now pause the game during co-op matches to sort your inventory, check the map, or just take a quick breather without getting wiped out.

Premium Style: The Mercenaries Skin Pack

Alongside the free gameplay content, Passtech Games has also rolled out the Mercenaries Skin Pack for £3.49 / $3.99. If you want to give your heroes a rugged new look, this premium DLC introduces gorgeous new outfits with altered 3D models and special visual effects—including a rogue-themed Snow Queen and a plague-doctor-inspired Pied Piper.

The battle for Reverie has never sounded so sweet—or been so treacherous. Update your game, gather your fellow heroes, and go hunt down those thieves!

  • Hunter: The Reckoning Deathwish returns after 20 years

Hunter: The Reckoning Deathwish returns after 20 years

This is a massive moment for fans of the World of Darkness. After one of the most bizarre “leaks” in recent memory—where a RoboCop: Rogue City update accidentally replaced the game with an early dev build of a monster-hunting RPG—Nacon and Teyon have officially pulled back the curtain.

Announced during the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview, Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish is bringing the cult-classic tabletop franchise back to the digital world. Here is everything we know about the gritty, New York-based revival.

From Prey to Predator: What is Deathwish?

While the original Hunter: The Reckoning games on the OG Xbox were top-down, hack-and-slash brawlers, Deathwish is taking a sharp turn into First-Person Action RPG territory.

Developed by Teyon (the team that surprised everyone with the authentic RoboCop: Rogue City), this new entry is set in a modern, rain-soaked New York City. You play as a “Hunter”—an ordinary human who has “awakened” to the fact that vampires, werewolves, and ghosts aren’t just myths; they’re the ones running the city.

    Key Gameplay Features

Deep RPG Systems: The game pulls directly from the 5th Edition TTRPG rules. Expect 6 attributes and 18 skills to customise your character.

Investigation First: This isn’t just a “shoot everything” simulator. You’ll spend time in your safe house (a dive bar in NYC), hacking, investigating crime scenes, and stalking your quarry before the fight even begins.

The “Supernatural” Vibe: Director Piotr ?atocha explicitly cited the TV show Supernatural and Baldur’s Gate 3 as inspirations, focusing on a tight-knit “cell” of hunters and the weight of your choices.

Consequences Matter: Every kill or conversation choice ripples. Gain too much “Infamy,” and you’ll find yourself being hunted by the police or even targeted by other supernatural factions.

    The “Steam Leak” Scandal

Before the official reveal, the game became an internet legend for a week. A backend error at Teyon saw a RoboCop: Rogue City update ship with the executable Hunter-Win64-Shipping.exe.

Players who updated their game suddenly found themselves playing an unfinished build of Deathwish, investigating a bar shootout as a cop rather than patrolling Old Detroit as Alex Murphy. Teyon has since leaned into the chaos, confirming that the leaked build was a May 2025 prototype.

The TechMash Take: > Teyon has proven they are the masters of the “AA” licensed game. After what they did for Terminator and RoboCop, seeing them tackle the gothic-punk horror of the World of Darkness is incredibly exciting. It’s a slower, more methodical RPG than we expected, but in a world of generic shooters, a game about the “paranoia of the hunt” might be exactly what we need.

  • CTHULHU: THE COSMIC ABYSS REVEALS NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER AHEAD OF APRIL 16TH LAUNCH

CTHULHU: THE COSMIC ABYSS REVEALS NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER AHEAD OF APRIL 16TH LAUNCH

The ocean has always been a source of mystery, but in 2053, it becomes a source of pure, unadulterated nightmare. Publisher NACON and developer Big Bad Wolf Studio (the minds behind The Council) have just dropped a deep-dive gameplay trailer for their upcoming Lovecraftian thriller, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss.

With the official launch set for April 16, 2026, this latest footage gives us our clearest look yet at how we’ll navigate the sunken, non-Euclidean city of R’lyeh.

The Story: A Descent into the Occult

You step into the heavy boots of Noah, an agent for Ancile—a secret branch of Interpol dedicated to occult affairs. When a deep-sea mining expedition by the Ocean-I corporation vanishes in the Pacific, Noah is sent down to find answers.

He isn’t alone, though. Accompanying him is KEY, an advanced AI companion that helps process evidence and—more importantly—attempts to keep Noah’s tether to reality from snapping.

    New Gameplay Mechanics Revealed

The trailer highlights that The Cosmic Abyss is less about “run-and-gun” and more about “observe and survive.” Here are the core pillars of the investigation:

The Sonar & Frequency Analysis: In the crushing darkness of the abyss, your sonar is your lifeline. By analysing objects, you unlock new frequencies that allow you to track similar materials or reveal hidden, invisible anomalies in the environment.

Energy vs. Corruption: Every action has a cost. Analysing clues consumes energy. If you run out of juice and keep pushing, the game taps into your Corruption Gauge. As this gauge fills, Noah begins to succumb to madness, altering both the environment and the story’s outcome.

The Vault: A dynamic database where Noah and KEY link clues together. Much like the “Mind Palace” mechanics in modern detective games, you’ll need to manually connect dots to progress through complex puzzles.

Corruptible Upgrades: You can find ancient artefacts to upgrade your gear, but beware—your choices can lead to these upgrades becoming corrupted or destroyed.

    Technical Specs & Platforms

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game promises to deliver a claustrophobic, visually stunning representation of Lovecraft’s “cyclopean” architecture.

Pro Tip: If you missed the Steam Next Fest demo in February, keep an eye on the official Nacon website for potential last-minute trials before the April launch.

    Final Thoughts

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss looks to be a refreshing take on the mythos, blending near-future sci-fi with ancient cosmic horror. The focus on “Resource Management in Madness” suggests a high-stakes experience where being a good detective might actually cost you your soul.

  • Dragonkin: The Banished the new Hack’N’Slash is now available on PC

Dragonkin: The Banished the new Hack’N’Slash is now available on PC

The wait for the ultimate draconic hunt is over. After a year of refining its systems in Early Access, Dragonkin: The Banished has officially launched its 1.0 version on PC. Developed by Eko Software (the minds behind Warhammer: Chaosbane) and published by Nacon, this hack-and-slash ARPG is ready to take its place alongside the genre’s heavy hitters.

If you’ve been looking for a reason to trade your standard dungeon crawling for something a bit more… “scaled up,” this is it.

A World Drowned in Dragon Blood

In Dragonkin: The Banished, the world isn’t just under threat; it’s being physically consumed and corrupted by the blood of the Dragon Lords. You step into the boots of one of four legendary hero classes, each mutated or empowered by the very creatures they hunt:

    • The Barbarian: A frost-powered juggernaut who is half-man, half-monster.
    • The Knight: A master of the fire lance who remains impervious to corruption through sheer faith.
    • The Oracle: A lightning-wielder who uses draconic visions to amplify her elemental precision.
    • The Tracker: A deadly marksman who uses the “spoils” of her prey to craft lethal poisons and traps.

The Ancestral Grid: Build Crafting Reimagined

What sets Dragonkin apart from your typical Diablo clone is the Ancestral Grid. Instead of a linear skill tree, you are given a literal grid of interconnected hexagons.

As you defeat enemies, you loot Fragments—skills and modifiers—that you must strategically place within the grid. By positioning certain modifiers next to specific skills, you can create devastating synergies that completely change how your character plays. It’s a “puzzle-game” approach to theorycrafting that rewards players for their creativity.

    Rebuild the Last Bastion

Between hunts, you’ll retreat to the City of Montescail. This isn’t just a static menu; it’s an evolving hub that grows based on your decisions.

    • Upgradable Buildings: Unlock new craftsmen and services as the city levels up.
    • Visual Evolution: Watch the city transform from a desperate refuge into a thriving haven.
    • Shared Progress: All your characters benefit from the city’s growth, making your secondary “alts” feel powerful from the jump.

Multiplayer: Hunt Solo or as a Pack

While the game is a blast solo, Dragonkin shines in 4-player online co-op. You can trade items, revive fallen teammates, and even work together to upgrade a shared city. For those who prefer the couch to the desk, the full release also introduces local co-op, allowing two players to slay dragons on the same machine.

    PC Availability & Specs

The game is available now via Steam, with the Blood Scales Edition offering exclusive cosmetic packs and gear for those looking to start their journey in style.

  • GreedFall: The Dying World – The Long-Awaited RPG Prequel Is Now Available on PC

GreedFall: The Dying World – The Long-Awaited RPG Prequel Is Now Available on PC

The wait is finally over for fans of colonial-era fantasy and political intrigue. GreedFall: The Dying World has officially shed its Early Access cloak and launched its Version 1.0 on PC, bringing the full, sprawling narrative of the Old Continent to life.

Developed by Spiders and published by Nacon, this prequel takes us three years back before the events of the original 2019 hit. But don’t let the “prequel” tag fool you; this is a massive evolution in scope, mechanics, and storytelling.

From Island Native to Continental Explorer

In a clever “flip of the script,” you no longer play as a diplomat from the Merchant Congregation. Instead, you step into the boots of a native from the island of Teer Fradee.

The story begins with your character being forcibly uprooted from their home and taken to the “Old Continent” of Gacane. This is the dying world the title refers to—a land ravaged by the Malichor plague, choked by industrial pollution, and torn apart by the warring factions of the Bridge Alliance and the Thélème.

Key Features of the 1.0 Release:

A Massive New World: Explore the streets of Olima, the City of Stars, and the bustling port of Uxantis.

Tactical Combat Overhaul: Moving away from the pure action-RPG style of the first game, The Dying World introduces a Real-Time with Pause tactical system, reminiscent of classics like Dragon Age: Origins.

Eight Unique Companions: Build your party from a diverse cast of allies, each with their own loyalty quests, secrets, and romantic possibilities.

The Constanzia: Take command of your own ship, which serves as your mobile base of operations as you navigate the treacherous shores of the Old Continent.

Strategic Depth: The New Combat System

One of the most significant changes in this sequel (well, prequel) is the combat. Spiders has implemented a much more strategic layer that allows you to micromanage your party’s every move.

Depending on your playstyle, you can choose between three modes:

Tactical: Full control over the camera and every action of your companions.

Focused: You control your protagonist while the AI handles your allies.

Hybrid: A balanced middle ground for those who want a bit of both.

    Availability and Editions

GreedFall: The Dying World is available now on Steam.

Standard Edition: Includes the base game.

Deluxe Edition: Includes the Gacane Pioneers Pack, the Peren’s Black Mass Pack (featuring an exclusive quest and outfit), and a digital artbook/soundtrack.

While PC players can jump in right now, console players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be joining the fray on March 12, 2026.

Pro Tip: If you played the Early Access version, make sure to perform a clean install for Version 1.0 to ensure all the new assets and quest fixes are applied correctly!

Are you ready to forge your destiny in a world on the brink of collapse? Head over to Steam and start your journey today.

  • Return to Teer Fradee: A New Dawn for GreedFall?

Return to Teer Fradee: A New Dawn for GreedFall?

The world of GreedFall has always occupied a unique space in the RPG landscape. It’s that rare “AA” gem that captures the ambitious spirit of early BioWare—think Dragon Age: Origins—while carving out a colonial fantasy aesthetic that feels entirely its own. Now, after nearly eighteen months in Early Access, developer Spiders and publisher Nacon are preparing to launch the full 1.0 version of the prequel: GreedFall: The Dying World.

But as we approach the final gates, the journey has become as dramatic behind the scenes as it is on the screen.

The Story So Far: From Native to Captive

Unlike the first game, where you played as the diplomat De Sardet arriving at a new frontier, The Dying World flips the script. You play as a native of Teer Fradee, forcibly uprooted from your island and taken back to the “Old Continent” of Gacane.

The world you find is a mirror to your own: a continent scarred by the Malichor plague, political backstabbing, and the dying gasps of old empires. It’s a compelling premise that allows Spiders to expand the lore of the Bridge Alliance and the Congregation of Merchants from a perspective of resistance rather than colonisation.

    A Controversial Shift in Combat

The most talked-about change since the game entered Early Access in 2024 is the move toward Real-Time with Pause (RTwP) combat.

    • The Change: Moving away from the action-heavy “hack and slash” of the first game.
    • The Vibe: It feels much closer to Dragon Age: Origins or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
    • The Goal: More tactical control over your party members, letting you queue up abilities and manage the battlefield with precision.

While the change was polarising at first, recent updates have smoothed out the “jank,” adding better targeting, improved animations, and deeper companion synergies.

Development Milestones & The Road to 1.0

Spiders haven’t been idle during the Early Access period. The game has undergone a massive transformation based on player feedback:

    • New Regions: Exploration has expanded into the baroque city of Peren and the coastal ruins of Gacane.
    • Companion Overhaul: New party members like Till have been added, each with their own loyalty quests and romance arcs.
    • Visual Polish: The engine has seen significant upgrades, particularly in lighting and character models, to make the “Dying World” feel appropriately haunting.

The Elephant in the Room: Nacon’s Financial Hurdles

It would be remiss not to mention the recent headlines. As of late February 2026, Nacon has filed for insolvency following financial difficulties with its parent company, Bigben Interactive.

What does this mean for players? > Likely, very little for the immediate launch. Despite the legal reorganization, the March 12 release date remains the target. In fact, Nacon is still moving forward with its Nacon Connect showcase on March 4. It’s a “keep calm and carry on” situation for the developers at Spiders, who are focused on delivering the final third of the game’s story.

    Release Details

If you’ve been waiting to dive back into this world, here is the current schedule for the 1.0 launch:

    PlatformRelease DateNotes
PC (Steam)March 10, 2026Early Access for Deluxe Edition owners starts here.
    PlayStation 5March 12, 2026Full 1.0 Launch.
    Xbox Series X/SMarch 12, 2026Full 1.0 Launch.

Note: The price is expected to increase upon the full 1.0 release, so if you’re on the fence, grabbing it now might be the move.

    Final Thoughts

GreedFall: The Dying World is a testament to Spiders’ ambition. It’s a game that dares to change its core systems to better fit its narrative weight. Whether you’re in it for the tactical combat or the intricate political weaving, this prequel is shaping up to be a worthy successor to the 2019 sleeper hit.

Meet Your New Inner Circle: GreedFall: The Dying World Spotlights Its Companions

With the full release of GreedFall: The Dying World just weeks away, NACON and Spiders have pulled back the curtain on the heart of any great RPG: the party. A brand-new trailer recently dropped, introducing the eight companions who will join you on your journey across the continent of Gacane.

In this prequel—set three years before the original game—you don’t play as a noble diplomat, but as a native of Teer Fradee uprooted from your home. Survival in the “Old World” depends on who has your back, and this latest reveal shows that your crew is as diverse as they are dangerous.

    The Faces of the Journey

The new video doesn’t just show these characters in action; it introduces the voice talent bringing them to life. Here is a look at the companions you’ll be recruiting:

    More Than Just Backup

Spiders is doubling down on the “Party RPG” DNA that fans of Dragon Age and KOTOR will find familiar. These companions aren’t just AI sidekicks; they are integral to every layer of the game:

    • Direct Combat Control: You can directly control your allies in battle, utilising their unique skill trees and specialities to create a balanced tactical team.
    • Deep Relationships: Your choices matter. Depending on your actions and dialogue, companions can become your closest friends, bitter rivals, or even soulmates.

  • New gameplay trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed

New gameplay trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed

After a nine-year hiatus, the gaming world’s most cynical and foul-mouthed goblin is returning to the shadows. Developed by Cyanide Studio and published by Nacon, Styx: Blades of Greed is the third instalment in the stealth-action series, following Master of Shadows (2014) and Shards of Darkness (2017).

Scheduled for release on February 19, 2026, the game looks to evolve the franchise’s “hardcore stealth” roots into a more expansive, sandbox experience.

A New Era of Goblin Greed

Set immediately after the cliffhanger ending of Shards of Darkness, Blades of Greed serves as a narrative bridge to the events of Of Orcs and Men. For the first time, Styx is no longer just a hired hand; he is a boss leading his own crew from a personal zeppelin.

The central MacGuffin this time is Quartz, a mysterious and volatile power source. As the continent of Iserian teeters on the edge of a Great War between humans, elves, and orcs, Styx aims to snatch as much Quartz as possible, which simultaneously grants him devastating new magical abilities.

    Expanded Gameplay & Traversal

While previous entries were known for their tight, linear levels, Blades of Greed introduces a Metroidvania-style structure across three massive open environments:

    • The Wall: A brutal human military stronghold.
    • Turquoise Dawn: A lush, vertical orc village.
    • Akenash: The ruins of the ancient elven capital.

New Tools for the Master of Shadows

To navigate these larger spaces, Cyanide has overhauled Styx’s mobility:

    • The Glider: Allows Styx to soar across gaps and drop onto unsuspecting guards from above.
    • Grappling Hook: Adds significant verticality, letting players zip to rafters and hidden ledges.
    • Metal Claws: Enable Styx to scale surfaces that were previously unreachable.

    Stealth vs. Combat

The developers have doubled down on the “pure stealth” philosophy. Direct combat remains deliberately clunky and punishing—Styx is a goblin, not a gladiator, and can be killed in just two or three hits.

Instead, players are encouraged to use creativity over brawn. You can extinguish torches with sand, poison food supplies, rig chandeliers to fall, or use Quartz-powered abilities like Time Shift and Mind Control to turn enemies against one another.
