Independent developer Making Enemies, in partnership with veteran publisher DevilishGames, has officially announced Scholar Adventure: Lost Night — the eagerly awaited second chapter in the atmospheric narrative point-and-click adventure series.
Where the Sun Never Sets
Picking up the journey of William, the young writer guided by an ancient artefact, Lost Night transports players to the Ruins of Azig — a vast, arid desert where the sun has not dipped below the horizon for a thousand years. Tasked with unravelling the mysteries of this perpetually bright land, William will uncover the truth behind the Great Pyramid: an astral temple powerful enough to disrupt nature itself and hold the region trapped in endless daylight.
Standing in his path are the Cult of the Sun, guardians of the status quo, and the shadowy Astreos, keepers of a forgotten prophecy and a mysterious painting that may hold the key to restoring balance. Expect a rich blend of mystery, symbolism, and signature dark humour, with exploration and clever puzzles driving the story forward across an estimated 3–4 hour playthrough.
Hand-Crafted Charm, Modern Rhythm
Built on the foundation laid by the beloved first entry Scholar Adventure: Mystery of Silence, Lost Night retains the series’ striking hand-crafted pixel art while refining the classic point-and-click formula for a swifter, more engaging pace. The Steam page is now live, with a debut teaser trailer giving the first glimpse of Azig’s sun-baked landscapes and looming secrets.
Coming 2027 Across All Platforms
Scholar Adventure: Lost Night is slated for release in 2027, landing simultaneously on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. Whether you’re returning to William’s story or discovering the saga for the first time, this sun-scorched mystery promises to be one to watch.
