Stray Paws Its Way Onto Nintendo Switch 2 with a Stunning New Launch Trailer

The cyberpunk feline adventure that captured the hearts of gamers worldwide has officially made its leap to next-gen portability. Nintendo has dropped the official launch trailer for Stray on the Nintendo Switch 2, and it looks like the perfect match for the upgraded hardware.

If you’ve been waiting to explore a neon-drenched cybercity through the eyes of a stray cat from the comfort of your couch (or on your morning commute), your time has finally come.

Check out the launch trailer below and read on for what the Switch 2 version brings to the table!

Watch the Stray Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Trailer:

“Lost and alone, solve an ancient mystery and escape a decaying cybercity with only your paws to guide you. Be stealthy, nimble, and silly with the strange inhabitants of this hostile world as you search for a way out.”

    Next-Gen Purr-formance on the Go

When Stray first arrived on previous-gen portable hardware, players had to accept a few technical compromises to get the game running on a handheld. The Nintendo Switch 2 completely changes the game.

Thanks to the console’s upgraded hardware, the launch trailer highlights a massive leap forward in both visual fidelity and performance:

    • Refined Lighting & Shadowing: The rain-slicked, neon-lit alleyways look richer and more atmospheric than ever, capturing the true dystopian vibe of the original release.
    • Smoother Textures: The cat’s animations, fur details, and the mechanical designs of the city’s robotic denizens are incredibly sharp.
    • Seamless Portability: Whether you’re playing docked in 4K or taking advantage of the crisp 1080p handheld display, the transitions between exploration and fast-paced chase sequences look buttery smooth.

A Free Upgrade for Existing Owners?

For players who already owned the original Nintendo Switch version, there is some fantastic news making the rounds in the community. Early reports indicate that if you already own the digital version of Stray on the original Switch, you can download this enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 version as a free upgrade. It’s an incredibly player-friendly move that gives you the perfect excuse to replay this indie masterpiece.

    Why Stray is a Must-Play

For the uninitiated, Stray isn’t just a gimmick game about knocking things off tables (though yes, there is a dedicated meow button and plenty of things to knock over). You control a lost cat separated from its family, navigating a long-forgotten underground city populated entirely by humanoid robots and dangerous mutated creatures called Zurks.

Teaming up with a small drone companion named B-12, you must solve environmental puzzles, utilise cat-like agility to scale rooftops, and piece together the mystery of what happened to humanity.

Stray is available meow on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.

Are you ready to explore the cybercity all over again, or will this be your first time stepping into the paws of gaming’s favourite feline? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Time-Bending Action Meets HD-2D: Dive Into The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales on Nintendo Switch 2

Time-Bending Action Meets HD-2D: Dive Into The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo Switch 2 owners, it’s time to fire up your eShops. Square Enix and Claytechworks have just dropped a brand-new Gameplay Trailer and a free playable Prologue Demo for one of the most anticipated action RPGs of the year: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

Brought to life by Team Asano—the legendary minds behind Octopath Traveller and Bravely Default—this upcoming title takes everything you love about their signature HD-2D visual style and injects it with fast-paced, real-time action.

Check out the stunning new gameplay trailer below to see the game in motion, and read on for what to expect from the freshly launched demo.

Step into the Savage World of Philabieldia

The game places you in the boots of the titular hero, Elliot, alongside his faithful fairy companion, Faie. Humanity is cornered in its last bastion, the Kingdom of Huther, protected only by the powerful barrier magic of Princess Heuria. When mysterious ruins are discovered just beyond the kingdom’s walls, Elliot is sent to investigate.

What starts as a reconnaissance mission quickly spirals into an epic saga across time once Elliot discovers the Doorway of Time, a mysterious artefact connecting the past and present.

Ditching the Turn-Based Grid for Real-Time Action

If you’re expecting the traditional turn-based combat of previous Team Asano games, think again. The Adventures of Elliot delivers simple, intuitive, and highly rewarding real-time combat. Here is what makes the gameplay loop so compelling:

    • Seven Dynamic Weapon Types: Master everything from swords and bows to chains and sickles, each featuring unique abilities and combat effects. You can equip two weapons at a time and swap between them seamlessly mid-battle.
    • Tactical Fairy Support: Your companion Faie isn’t just for show. In a brilliant twist, a second player can jump in via co-op mode to control Faie, helping to solve platforming puzzles, retrieve items, and cast crucial support abilities during fights.
    • Warp & Dash Mechanics: Elliot can dash to avoid danger or instantly teleport straight to Faie’s location using a warp mechanic, adding a thrilling layer of verticality and speed to exploration.
    • Weapon Enhancement: Deep within the game’s dungeons and puzzle shrines, you’ll discover magicite fragments used to upgrade and imbue your weapons with devastating elemental effects.

Play the Prologue Demo Today (And Keep Your Progress!)

The best news? You don’t have to wait until launch day to get a taste of Philabieldia. The newly released Prologue Demo is available to download right now on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.

The demo covers the entire opening chapter of the game, offering you total freedom to progress the main quest, hunt for hidden weapons, blow open secret pathways with bombs, and experiment with the real-time combat system. Best of all, your save data will carry over to the full game, meaning all the magicite and loot you grind for right now won’t go to waste.

    Mark Your Calendars

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is shaping up to be an absolute must-play experience that perfectly showcases how beautiful HD-2D art looks on Next-Gen Nintendo hardware.

The full game officially launches on June 18, 2026. Go grab the demo, test out the co-op with a friend, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

  • Star Fox: Prologue — Everything We Know About the Switch 2’s Cinematic Reboot

Star Fox: Prologue — Everything We Know About the Switch 2’s Cinematic Reboot

Move over, Corneria. It’s time to go back to where it all began.

Following a surprise Star Fox Direct that caught the gaming world off guard, Nintendo has finally pulled back the curtain on the future of the Lylat System. Titled simply Star Fox, this upcoming exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2 is a “cinematic reimagining” of the 1997 classic, Star Fox 64.

While we’ve seen Fox McCloud return to his roots before, this isn’t just a resolution bump. From a gritty new prologue to the sheer power of the “Drake” processor, here is why you should be excited for June 25, 2026.

    The James McCloud Prologue

Perhaps the most intriguing addition is the explosive prologue. Players will step into the cockpit during the fateful mission involving James McCloud (Fox’s father) and the original Star Fox team.

The footage shown so far leans heavily into the drama, showcasing the moment Pigma Dengar betrays the squad. It’s a darker, more personal tone for the series, bridging the gap between the legendary lore and the main campaign.

A Visual Overhaul: Fur, Scales, and 4K

Running on the Switch 2, the game targets a crisp 4K at 60 FPS while docked. Nintendo has opted for a “hyper-realistic” animal aesthetic for the characters. Think less “cartoon puppet” and more “high-fidelity cinematic.” While the new designs have sparked some debate among purists, there is no denying that the fur-shading and environmental effects look staggering on the new hardware.

    New Features & Multiplayer

Nintendo isn’t just relying on nostalgia. They are leveraging the unique hardware of the Joy-Con 2 to change how we fly:

    • Joy-Con 2 “Mouse Mode”: You can now hold the controller like a mouse for ultra-precise aiming and steering.
    • 4v4 Battle Mode: An online dogfight mode pitting Team Star Fox against Team Star Wolf across iconic maps like Corneria and Sector Y.
    • Co-op Pilot/Gunner Mode: Two players can share a ship, with one handling the flying and the other manning the lasers.
    • AR Character Avatars: Using the Switch 2’s camera, your facial expressions can be mapped onto your chosen character during GameChat, making those “Do a barrel roll!” moments more immersive than ever.

    The Verdict So Far

Nintendo is playing it safe by returning to the Star Fox 64 blueprint, but the “Prologue” content and the massive technical leap of the Switch 2 suggest this is the definitive version we’ve been waiting for. Whether you’re a veteran pilot or a recruit who has never heard of General Pepper, this June looks like the perfect time to hop into an Arwing.

“This is clearly intended to be a series reboot… not a retread but a reimagining, committed to expanding on character and cinematic presentation.” — Industry consensus.

  • Return to Crossbell: Trails from Zero Announced for Nintendo Switch 2

Return to Crossbell: Trails from Zero Announced for Nintendo Switch 2

The legend of the Special Support Section is getting a serious hardware upgrade. NIS America has officially dropped the announcement trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero for the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s looking like the definitive way to experience Lloyd Bannings’ origin story.

If you thought the original Crossbell duology was a masterpiece, wait until you see it running on Nintendo’s latest powerhouse.

    Enhanced for a New Generation

While Trails from Zero has seen various releases over the years, this isn’t just another simple port. The Switch 2 version is pulling out all the stops to take advantage of the upgraded silicon. Here is what you can expect when you return to the city-state:

    • Visual Fidelity: Support for up to 4K resolution and enhanced HD textures.
    • Silky Smooth Performance: The game is targeted to run at 120 FPS, making combat and exploration more fluid than ever.
    • Mouse Input Support: In a surprising move, the Switch 2 version will support mouse-style controls—a huge win for managing those intricate Quartz and Orbment menus.
    • High-Speed Mode: Perfect for veterans who want to blaze through battles or newcomers looking to focus purely on the legendary narrative.

    Why Crossbell Matters

For the uninitiated, Trails from Zero follows Lloyd Bannings as he returns to his hometown to join the Crossbell Police Department. Instead of the prestigious divisions, he’s assigned to the Special Support Section (SSS)—a ragtag group of misfits tasked with odd jobs and community service.

However, beneath the neon lights and economic prosperity of Crossbell lies a web of political corruption and criminal underworlds that will change the fate of the continent forever.

Pro Tip: Save data from Trails from Zero will carry over into the sequel, Trails to Azure, which was also announced for the platform. Importing your save unlocks unique dialogue and alternate scenes!

    Release Date and Physical Collection

NIS America has confirmed that The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero will launch in Fall 2026.

For the collectors out there, you won’t have to settle for just a digital download. Each game will be available individually on the eShop, but a physical collection featuring both Zero and Azure is also on the way.

Note for Physical Hunters: Early reports suggest the physical edition may be a Game-Key Card, meaning a partial download might be required to get the full experience on your Switch 2.

Are you ready to join the SSS on the go again, or is the 4K/120 FPS boost enough to make you play this on the big screen? Let us know in the comments!

  • Mouse: P.I. For Hire — The ‘Steamboat Willie’ Style Shooter is Finally Here

Mouse: P.I. For Hire — The ‘Steamboat Willie’ Style Shooter is Finally Here

If you’ve been scouring the internet for a game that looks like a lost 1930s cartoon but plays like a high-octane fever dream of DOOM and BioShock, your investigation ends here. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has officially launched, and it’s proving to be much more than just a stylish gimmick.

Developed by the Polish studio Fumi Games and published by PlaySide Studios, this “rubberhose” FPS has been one of our most anticipated titles here at TechMash. Now that it’s in our hands, we can confirm: the wait for Jack Pepper’s noir adventure was well worth it.

The Aesthetic: Ink, Lead, and Old-School Charm

The first thing that hits you is the visuals. MOUSE uses a hand-drawn, black-and-white art style heavily inspired by the golden age of animation. Imagine the whimsy of Cuphead mashed together with the grit of a 1940s detective novel.

But don’t let the bouncy animations fool you. This is a Mature experience. The contrast between the “Disney-esque” character designs and the “ultraviolence” of the gameplay is jarring in the best way possible.

    • Hand-Drawn Mayhem: Every enemy and weapon is animated frame-by-frame.
    • Creative Carnage: Expect cartoonish but brutal death animations—enemies vaporising into piles of ash (with blinking eyes on top) or shattering like ink-filled glass.
    • Big Band Beats: The soundtrack, composed by Patryk Scelina, features a pulsing jazz score that syncs perfectly with your trigger pulls.

Meet Jack Pepper: A Rodent with a Grudge

You play as Jack Pepper, a war veteran turned private investigator, voiced by the legendary Troy Baker. Jack isn’t just a mouse with a gun; he’s a hard-boiled detective navigating the corrupt streets of Mouseburg.

The story goes deep into the seedy underbelly of a city where “cheeselegging” is a capital crime and the local “Big Mouse Party” is up to no good. You’ll spend your time:

    1. Solving Cases: Searching for clues, interviewing NPCs, and taking crime scene photos.
    2. Exploring the Hub: Upgrading your gear at Tammy’s workshop or grabbing a drink at the “Little & Big” pub.
    3. Surviving the Streets: Using an arsenal that ranges from classic Tommy Guns to “Experimental” weapons like a psychic brain in a jar.

Gameplay: Speed is Your Best Friend

In terms of mechanics, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a “boomer shooter” at heart, but with modern agility. Jack is nimble, and you’ll need to master his movement to survive.

    FeatureDescription
    MobilityIncludes double-jumping, wall-running, and a dash mechanic.
GadgetsJack can use his tail as a grappling hook and a helicopter-blade hat to glide.
InteractivityDrop anvils on goons or use “Fantastic-O-Matic” machines for power-ups.
LengthA solid 12–15 hour campaign filled with secrets and noir twists.

    Availability and Platforms

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire released on April 16, 2026. You can currently pick it up digitally for £24.99 / $29.99.

    • Current-Gen: PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the new Nintendo Switch 2.
    • Previous-Gen: Versions for PS4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch are confirmed to be coming later this year.
    • Physical Collectors: A “Mouseburg Edition” is slated for July 10, 2026, for those who want a physical disc or cartridge for their shelf.

TechMash Verdict: It’s rare to see a game lean so heavily into an art style and still deliver tight, responsive gameplay. If you’re a fan of FPS history or just want to see a mouse smoke a cigar while dual-wielding pistols, this is your Game of the Year contender.

Are you planning to dive into the black-and-white chaos of Mouseburg, or is the “rubberhose” style a bit too trippy for your taste?

  • PRAGMATA: Capcom’s Moonbound Epic Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2

PRAGMATA: Capcom’s Moonbound Epic Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2

The wait—the literal, multi-year, “is this game actually real?” wait—is finally over. After first being teased back in 2020 and suffering through a series of high-profile delays, Capcom’s PRAGMATA has officially launched. Coinciding with the arrival of Nintendo’s next-generation hardware, the launch trailer for Pragmata on the Nintendo Switch 2 showcases a technical marvel that proves the new handheld has some serious lunar-sized muscles.

A New Journey to the Moon

The launch trailer sets a sombre yet hopeful tone, focusing on the bond between the rugged spacefarer Hugh Williams and the mysterious, wide-eyed android girl, Diana. Set on a futuristic lunar station that has gone silent, the duo must navigate a world reclaimed by a digital ecosystem gone wrong.

The latest footage introduces us to Eight, a new character who looks remarkably like Diana and appears to be a key ally in the fight against IDUS, the rogue AI controlling the facility.

Why the Switch 2 Version is Turning Heads

While Pragmata is a cross-platform title, all eyes are on the Nintendo Switch 2 version. For a game that was once delayed to ensure it met “next-gen” standards, seeing it run on a portable device is nothing short of impressive.

    • Action-Puzzle Combat: The trailer highlights the unique synergy between Hugh and Diana. You’ll be using Diana’s hacking abilities to expose enemy weaknesses before Hugh delivers the finishing blow with high-tech firearms.
    • The “Shelter” System: Between the intense boss fights, the trailer shows the “Shelter”—a safe haven where players can upgrade gear and witness heartwarming, quiet moments between the protagonists.
    • Visual Fidelity: On the Switch 2, Pragmata utilises the console’s enhanced power to deliver crisp textures and atmospheric lighting that capture the eerie beauty of the moon.

Final Thoughts: Is It Worth the Wait?

Capcom has a track record of taking its time to polish new IPs (Dragon’s Dogma, anyone?), and Pragmata feels like the culmination of that patience. The launch trailer perfectly balances the high-stakes action of a third-person shooter with the emotional core of a “protect the child” narrative.

If you’ve just picked up your Nintendo Switch 2, Pragmata is looking like the definitive “showcase” title to prove what your new hardware can do.

“We’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time… we feel we’ve created something truly unique and special for you.”Naoto Oyama, Producer

  • No Man’s Sky: Xeno Arena Hits the Nintendo Switch 2 – Pokémon Meets the Stars

No Man’s Sky: Xeno Arena Hits the Nintendo Switch 2 – Pokémon Meets the Stars

The universe of No Man’s Sky just got a whole lot more competitive. If you thought exploring 18 quintillion planets was enough to keep you busy, Hello Games has just dropped the Xeno Arena Update, and it is a literal game-changer—especially for those of us rocking the new Nintendo Switch 2.

While the update landed on PC and other consoles last week, the wait for the portable version is officially over. Here’s why the Xeno Arena update is the perfect excuse to dust off your Multi-tool and head back into the Euclid Galaxy.

Gotta Scan ‘Em All: What is Xeno Arena?

The Xeno Arena (v6.3) update transforms your menagerie of alien companions from mere travel buddies into a battle-ready squad. Think Pokémon or Palworld, but on a galactic scale.

    • Gladiatorial Contests: You can now enter your creatures into simulated battles at the Space Anomaly or within player-built arenas.
    • Genetic Engineering: Use the new genetic modification interface to tweak your pet’s agility, health, and combat traits.
    • Deep Strategy: Each creature has unique elemental affinities based on its home planet’s biome. A toxic-breathing blob from a radiation-soaked moon will have a natural edge over a flying lizard from a frozen world.
    • Expanded Roster: To accommodate your new addiction, the companion cap has been raised from 18 to 30.

The Switch 2 Advantage: High-End Portability

Playing No Man’s Sky on the original Switch was a technical miracle, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version is where the game finally breathes.

According to Hello Games’ lead engineer Martin Griffiths, porting these massive updates to portable hardware takes “2-3x more time” because of the sheer optimisation required, but the results on the Switch 2 are undeniable:

    • Visual Fidelity: We’re looking at 1080p at 40fps in handheld mode and a crisp 1440p at 30fps when docked. The texture density and lighting effects are a massive leap over the previous generation.
    • Full Feature Parity: Unlike the first Switch, the Switch 2 edition includes full multiplayer from day one. You’ll see other Travellers in the Anomaly, join Nexus missions, and—most importantly—challenge them to Xeno battles right there on the holo-tables.
    • Fast Loading: Jumping from a planet surface to deep space is now near-instant, making the “creature hunting” loop for the Arena much more addictive.

    Performance Notes

It’s not all sunshine and paradise planets, though. While the Switch 2 handles the game beautifully, early reports suggest that particularly “vegetation-heavy” paradise worlds can still see minor frame rate dips.

However, the latest Patch 6.32 has already addressed several launch-week bugs, including flickering underwater graphics and some inventory duplication glitches. Hello Games is clearly committed to making this the definitive portable experience.

    Final Verdict

For the 10th anniversary of No Man’s Sky, Hello Games has delivered a feature fans have wanted for years. Whether you’re breeding the ultimate predator or just want to see how your “flying cow” fares against a robotic sentinel dog, the Xeno Arena update provides a fresh, rewarding layer of gameplay.

If you own a Switch 2, this is a mandatory download. The sky has no limits, and now, it has a champion.

Are you planning to build the ultimate alien battle team, or are you sticking to peaceful exploration? Let us know in the comments!

    The “Dream Team” Delivers Again

For fans of the genre, the names behind Absolum are essentially royalty. Developed by the same minds that redefined the modern beat ’em up with Streets of Rage 4, this project takes that DNA and fuses it with deep roguelite progression.

    • Dotemu & Guard Crush Games: Bringing the mechanical depth and “crunchy” combat they are famous for.
    • Supamonks: Providing the breathtaking, hand-animated visuals that make every frame of Absolum look like a high-budget animated feature.
    • Silver Lining Interactive: Ensuring that collectors and physical media enthusiasts get a high-quality boxed copy for their shelves.

    What is Absolum?

Set in the shattered world of Talamh, Absolum follows a band of outcast heroes—Galandra, Karl, Brome, and Cider—as they lead an uprising against the tyrannical Sun King Azra.

    • God-Tier Soundtrack: Featuring the legendary Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite), with guest contributions from Mick Gordon and Yuka Kitamura.

  • The Midnight Walk now on Nintendo Switch

The Midnight Walk now on Nintendo Switch

Whether you’re a fan of eerie stop-motion classics like The Nightmare Before Christmas or you spent your childhood staring a little too long at Pingu, MoonHood’s The Midnight Walk is going to hit you right in the nostalgia—and then promptly give you nightmares.

Originally released in 2025 by the creative minds behind Lost in Random, this “cosy horror” title has just made its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 (March 2026), making it the perfect time to dive back into its clay-sculpted shadows.

    A World Literally Handcrafted

The first thing that strikes you about The Midnight Walk isn’t the gameplay—it’s the fingerprints. Every single asset in the game, from the spindly trees to the terrifying “Crawlers,” was hand-sculpted in real clay before being 3D-scanned into Unreal Engine 5.

Combined with a deliberate stop-motion animation style, the game feels less like a digital product and more like a fever dream happening on your desk. It’s tactile, slightly grotesque, and visually arresting in a way few modern games manage to be.

    Fire, Friendship, and “Potboy”

You play as The Burnt One, a mysterious figure who awakens in a world swallowed by darkness. Your only hope is Potboy, a tiny, lantern-headed creature whose flame is the only thing keeping the monsters at bay.

The gameplay is a mix of atmospheric exploration and “stealth-lite.” You aren’t a warrior; you’re a guardian.

    • The Goal: Escort Potboy to the summit of Moon Mountain to reignite the sun.
    • The Mechanic: You use Potboy’s flame to light candles, distract enemies, and solve environmental puzzles.
    • The Twist: A key mechanic involves “closing your eyes” (literally a button press) to listen for audio cues or reveal hidden paths, heightening the tension when you know something is breathing just a few feet away.

Why You Should Care (Especially in VR)

While it’s a fantastic experience on a standard screen, The Midnight Walk is widely considered a “must-play” for PS VR2 and PC VR owners. In fact, it took home Best VR/AR Game at the 2025 Game Awards. Being “inside” a claymation world changes the scale of the horror—those tiny clay monsters suddenly feel much larger when they’re staring you in the face.

TechMash Verdict: It’s short (about 6–8 hours), but it’s a masterclass in art direction. If you want a game that feels like a playable Tim Burton poem, this is it.

  • The Next Frontier: Warframe on Nintendo Switch 2

The Next Frontier: Warframe on Nintendo Switch 2

While Warframe has been playable on the original Switch since 2018, the Switch 2 version isn’t just a port—it’s a massive technical leap. Digital Extremes is leveraging the new hardware to bring the handheld experience closer to PC and next-gen consoles than ever before.

    Technical Specs & Features

The Switch 2 version targets a level of fidelity that was previously impossible on Nintendo’s hybrid hardware:

Performance: A silky-smooth target of 60 FPS (docked and handheld).

Resolution: Native 1080p support across both modes.

Visual Enhancements: The game will utilise DLSS support, high-resolution textures, volumetric lighting, and improved shader quality.

Loading Times: Significantly reduced, getting you into the action faster.

Joy-Con 2 Mouse Mode: A new feature allowing for precision aiming and easier menu navigation using the updated Joy-Con sensors.

    Exclusive Launch Rewards

To celebrate the launch, players who log in to the Nintendo Switch 2 version between March 25 and April 15, 2026, will receive the Ambimanus Pack for free. This bundle includes:

    Vericres Warfan (Weapon)

    Akomeogi Warfan Skin

    Slicing Feathers Stance Mod

    3-Day Affinity & Credit Boosters

Enter the Canvas: The Shadowgrapher Update
Landing on the same day as the Switch 2 launch, The Shadowgrapher update brings a distinct, artistic flair to Warframe’s 13th-anniversary celebrations.

    Meet Follie: The 64th Warframe

The star of the show is Follie, a paint-themed Warframe whose abilities revolve around “ink-blot” chaos and mimicry. She can summon “mirror versions” of enemies to draw fire and create duplicates of allied Warframes to prevent them from being downed.

    New Mode: Follie’s Hunt

This update introduces a survival-horror-inspired 4v1 asymmetrical mode. One player takes on the role of an antagonist while the others must complete objectives involving “painting canvases” while surviving the ink-blot menace.

    Quality of Life Improvements

Digital Extremes is also addressing long-standing community requests:

Survival Speedup: A new optional objective in Survival missions that allows squads to speed up reward rotations.

Clan Revamp: New weekly bounties and a “Clan Matchmaking” priority system to help smaller groups find active squads.

Status Changes: A rework of the Cold Status and adjustments to Arctic Eximus units for more balanced gameplay.

    13 Years of Warframe

The timing of these releases coincides with the game’s 13th Anniversary. From March 13 to May 8, players can participate in special events to earn a new Lotus-themed Signa cosmetic, alongside returning rewards from previous years.

Whether you’re a veteran Tenno looking to upgrade your portable experience or a newcomer starting fresh on the Switch 2, March 25 is shaping up to be one of the biggest days in Warframe history.

Pro Tip: Make sure your Cross-Platform Save is set up on the official Warframe site before March 25 so you can jump straight into your existing account on the new hardware!

  • Super Meat Boy 3D Is Officially Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Super Meat Boy 3D Is Officially Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

It’s time to prepare your thumbs (and your patience) for a new level of frustration. Team Meat and developer Sluggerfly have officially confirmed that the legendary, punishing platformer series is making a massive leap into the third dimension.

During a recent update, publisher Headup Games announced that Super Meat Boy 3D isn’t just coming to PC and current-gen consoles—it’s also officially locked in for the Nintendo Switch 2.

    A New Dimension of Pain

For over 15 years, Super Meat Boy has been the gold standard for precision 2D platforming. While the series took a detour with the auto-runner Super Meat Boy Forever, this new entry returns to the “tough-as-nails” manual control that made the original a masterpiece.

    What’s changing? Everything and nothing.

Linear Precision: While the game is in 3D, the developers have opted for a linear level structure with a fixed camera, citing Super Mario 3D World as a major influence.

Unreal Engine 5: Built from the ground up in UE5, the game retains its iconic stylised look but with modern visual flair and significantly more detail.

New Moves: To bridge the gap to 3D, Meat Boy now features a horizontal wall run and a mid-air dash, allowing for even more complex aerial manoeuvring.

“We’ve worked closely with Team Meat to ensure that Meat Boy controls ‘just right’ in 3D,” says Dominik Plassmann, Art Director at Sluggerfly.

    Why the Switch 2?

The confirmation of a Switch 2 version (following the cheeky “Green Warp Pipe” teaser in the original Xbox showcase trailer) is a big deal for Nintendo fans.

While the original Switch has hosted several Meat Boy titles, the move to Unreal Engine 5 suggests that the Nintendo Switch 2’s beefier hardware is necessary to handle the high-speed, physics-heavy chaos of 3D precision platforming at the frame rates required for this genre.

    What to Expect

Brutal Levels: Hundreds of levels designed to break you—now with spatial depth.

Dark World Returns: Harder versions of levels that will test even the most veteran players.

Epic Boss Fights: Massive encounters that take full advantage of the 3D space.

Heavy Soundtrack: Featuring contributions from Steve Marcois of the deathcore band Despised Icon, ensuring the music is as intense as the gameplay.

    When Can You Play It?

Super Meat Boy 3D is currently scheduled for an Early 2026 release across all platforms. With the Switch 2 version now confirmed, it’s looking to be one of the most anticipated indie titles for Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.

Are you ready to die a million times in 3D, or is the third dimension one step too far for your sanity? Let us know in the comments!
