Fresh off its successful December launch, Nitrous Butterfly has officially dropped the 2026 Roadmap for PACK :: Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit. If you thought the world was messy now, just wait—things are about to get a lot bigger (and hopefully a lot cleaner).
As a solo-dev passion project that has already captured the “zen-meets-grit” simulator crowd, 2026 is shaping up to be the year of expansion.
What’s Coming in 2026?
Massive Level Expansion: The world is growing far beyond the initial launch maps. Multiple new environments are slated for release throughout the year.
Advanced Tech & Upgrades: New robot features and cleaning tech are being introduced to help you tackle environmental corruption more efficiently.
Deeper Lore: Expect more “Echo Spheres” and environmental storytelling to piece together exactly how humanity left such a disaster behind.
The Road to 1.0: The dev has officially targeted a 2027 window for the full 1.0 release, graduating from Early Access.
Current Status (Patch 0.4.2.0)
If you’ve been away for a few weeks, the recent January updates have already polished the experience:
Physics Refinement: Skeletal parts are now vacuumable (goodbye, ribcages!), and “flailing” physics have been toned down.
QoL Improvements: Resource icons have a fresh look, and the recycler now sports some satisfying spark effects.
Whether you’re cleaning solo or with up to 3 friends, the apocalypse has never looked so… scrubbable.
