Introducing the New Classes: Support and Savagery!
The stars of this update are undoubtedly the two new class advancements, offering fresh playstyles for two popular base classes:
1. Paramedic (Female Gunner Advancement)
Meet the Battlefield Angel—a fusion of cutting-edge Empyrean technology and combat mastery. Paramedic steps into the much-needed Buffer role for the Female Gunner line, but with a unique defensive twist:
- Role: Buffer (Support)
- Key Gimmick: Specialises in preemptive defence using Shields that grant Super Armour and damage reduction. She focuses on protecting allies rather than direct healing.
- Playstyle: Requires mastery of shield timing and resource management to ensure party stability. She provides support with a high-tech, tactical flair.
2. Chimera (Archer Advancement)
On the flip side of the spectrum, we have the chaotic, eccentric Chimera, the newest advancement for the Archer class. Equal parts mad scientist and chaotic fighter:
- Role: Damage Dealer (Fixed/Independent Power)
- Key Gimmick: Unleashes explosive, unpredictable attacks using a Compound Bow to fire blades, axes, and other salvaged junk.
- Playstyle: Her unique Recycle system rewards players for skillfully retrieving spent armaments, reducing cooldowns and encouraging aggressive, manic combat.
The VP System: Redefining Skill Customisation
Beyond the new classes, this update introduces a game-changing feature for all Neo: Awakened characters: the Skill Evolution (VP) System.
- What it is: The VP System allows players to modify the core function of their existing skills without altering their total attack power.
- How it works: Each VP-compatible skill offers two Variant Options, letting you choose an effect or core mechanic change that best suits your playstyle.
- Impact: This system provides an intuitive and flexible way to create personalised and dynamic character builds, offering a new depth to character optimisation. It pairs with a new Skill Enhancement feature that lets you adjust damage or cooldown properties.
