Cleaning the litter box is nobody’s favourite job — but what if it was also the hardest game you’ve played all year?
Developed by Zemore Indie Games, LLC, Pooper Scooper is a physics-based rage game that takes one of life’s most mundane tasks and turns it into a precision challenge that will have you gripping your mouse and questioning your life choices. What sounds like a simple trip from litter box to trash bin quickly becomes a battle of balance, timing, and nerves — and yes, it’s exactly as chaotic as it sounds.
Simple Premise — Nightmarish Execution
The goal is straightforward: scoop the waste out of the litter box, carry it across the room, and drop it into the bin. That’s it. No dungeons, no apocalypses, no alien invasions — just a scoop, a mess, and a trash can.
But Pooper Scooper isn’t interested in making things easy. There is no “scoop” button. Instead, you manually control every movement of the tool — lowering, raising, tilting, rotating, and shifting it with pinpoint accuracy. The physics system means every load shifts, wobbles, and threatens to slide off the edge if you move too fast or tilt the wrong way.
“Position your scoop, lower it down, push it, raise it, and do your best not to accidentally throw it across the room while you bring it to the bin.”
Weight, Balance, and Very Bad Cats
Three things stand between you and a clean room:
- Physics That Fights Back — Different shapes and sizes affect how the load sits. Heavier loads are harder to balance; awkward shapes slide around mid-transit. You’ll constantly choose between fewer risky trips or multiple safer ones.
- Chaotic Cats — Your feline companions don’t just watch. They wander, dart around, and even fly across the room. Bump one while carrying a full scoop, and everything goes tumbling — level failed.
- Cluttered Environments — As you progress, rooms get messier. Stacked furniture blocks paths, bins hide in awkward corners, and every level demands a new strategy.
Born From Real Life — Made to Frustrate
Created by Filipino developers Hans Andre Abila and Arvin Padua under Zemore Indie Games, the idea grew straight from personal experience — the frustration of a task that should be simple but never is.
The result is a game that sits somewhere between Getting Over It, I Am Bread, and your most chaotic household chore. It’s designed to be funny, deeply frustrating, and weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a clean run.
Coming Soon — Alpha Playtest Open Now
Pooper Scooper is targeting release in Q4 2026 on Steam. An Alpha playtest is currently accepting applications — you can request access directly through the Steam store page.
Ready to Scoop?
It’s a game about focus, finesse, and accepting that sometimes things will go flying across the room — and that’s okay. You’ll laugh, you’ll rage, and you’ll never look at your cat quite the same way again.
The message is simple: The poop must be scooped. Are you up to the challenge?
