RuneScape just dropped the “Road to Restoration” roadmap for 2026, and it is absolutely massive! Jagex is calling this the year that “changes RuneScape forever,” and they aren’t kidding.

Here is what’s coming to Gielinor this year:

• Treasure Hunter is GONE: Effective immediately, the controversial MTX system has been removed following the community vote.
• Havenhythe Expansion: The largest landmass expansion in the game’s history is coming in multiple parts!
• Player-Owned Housing Rework: Construction is finally getting the love it deserves with a level cap increase to 120 and a total system overhaul.
• Avatar Refresh: In April, we’re finally getting the long-awaited character model updates, new animations, and hairstyles.
• Integrity Updates: New UI, API plugin support (finally!), and a combat modernisation pass.

Whether you’re a veteran or haven’t played since 2007, 2026 is looking like the best time to be a ‘Scaper.
