Fly Into the Fire: Rescue Drone Simulator: Second Chance Announced for 2027

Anraga Studios and The Farm 51 team up for a life-saving aerial adventure

When the situation is too hot, too unstable, and too dangerous for human responders — you send in the drones. That’s the heart of Rescue Drone Simulator: Second Chance, officially announced today by developers Anraga Studios and The Farm 51, scheduled to land on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Q1 2027.

    Beyond the Danger Zone

You take the controls of cutting-edge unmanned aircraft, soaring straight into the eye of the storm — raging fires, collapsed infrastructure, disaster zones, and crisis areas where no ground team can safely tread. Your mission? Locate the missing, deliver critical aid to the injured, and reach places that would cost a human life.

This isn’t just about flying — it’s about saving. The game carries a powerful dual meaning: every person you pull from peril gets a second chance, and so do the operators themselves — seasoned rescue professionals sidelined by injury, trauma, or circumstance, finding a new way to serve from the pilot’s seat.

    Four Specialised Drones, One Mission

You’ll command a fleet of purpose-built UAVs, each with a distinct role to play:

    • Rescue Drone — tracks mobile signals, locates survivors, and drops first aid supplies
    • Firefighting Drone — battles blazes with extinguishers and water payloads
    • Police Drone — manages crowds, deploys non-lethal deterrents, and secures scenes
    • Interceptor / Anti-Drone — takes down rogue aircraft to keep the skies clear

    Build, Customise, and Experience

A deep workshop system lets you construct and upgrade your drones from the ground up — tuning engines, batteries, and components that directly affect how they handle in the thick of action. The campaign spans 20 missions across five distinct maps, wrapped in a four-act story. Play how you like: choose Simulator controls for authentic physics, or Arcade mode for accessible, high-stakes action — with both first-person and third-person camera views available.

    Ready for Takeoff

Rescue Drone Simulator: Second Chance is targeting a simultaneous release across all announced platforms in the first quarter of 2027. The project combines The Farm 51’s signature eye for detail — seen in Chernobylite and Get Even — with fresh, hopeful gameplay focused entirely on help, not harm.

When lives hang in the balance, bravery doesn’t always require boots on the ground. Sometimes it’s just a pilot, a controller, and a drone — pushing through the smoke to bring everyone home.
