Watch the Water: When the ocean starts churning and the sky darkens, you’re in its territory. Look for the massive tentacles breaking the surface.
Aim for the Eyes: While the tentacles are the immediate threat, focusing your fire on the main body (when visible) and the “weak points” on the limbs is key to a fast takedown.
Brace for Impact: The Kraken’s “slam” attack can decimate your hull. Timing your Brace (Spacebar/R1/RB) is the difference between staying afloat and feeding the fish.
Bring the Fleet: While soloing is possible for high-level ships, it’s much more efficient (and fun) to tackle this beast with a group.

The Indian Ocean grows cold with the arrival of the Azure Solstice event in Skull and Bones. This limited-time challenge introduces a mysterious, ice-cursed fleet and demands that even the most seasoned pirate adapt their strategies to survive the chill and claim exclusive rewards.
The Azure Fleet: A Cold Threat
The Azure Solstice is heralded by the appearance of the eerie Azure Fleet, ships adorned with strange ice crystals, said to be cursed by a deathly chill. This fleet brings with it formidable new challenges:
Azure Convoys: These world events, spanning various ranks (e.g., Rank 7, 10, and 11), are key to initiating the event. They carry valuable spoils and special crystals, but are guarded by the icy fleet. Sinking the Azure Warship within the convoy is often essential for bonus rewards.
The Azure Royale Elite Warship: The primary boss of the original event, the Azure Royale, is a powerful enemy protected by a barrier that is vulnerable to Burning damage. Captains must utilize fire weapons to strip its icy shield before traditional weapons can inflict full damage.
The Azure Harbinger (New): Recent iterations of the event have introduced a new Elite Warship, the Azure Harbinger. This ship introduces the potent, event-only status effect, Frostbite, which heavily slows navigation and reload speed.
Overcoming the Frostbite Status
The Azure Harbinger specifically tests a player’s knowledge of elemental synergies:
Frostbite: Heavily slows navigation and reload speed.
Flooded Synergy: Combining Frostbite and the Flooded status effect instantly applies the total severe damage of Flooded, removing the Flooded status immediately after.
Ablazed Counter: Triggering the Ablazed status on a ship with Frostbite instantly removes the Frostbite effect, providing a crucial immunity window. This makes fire-based weapons not just a means of breaking shields, but a critical tool for survival.
The Harbinger also deploys Iceberg Buoys (which apply Frostbite) and Ice Crystal Buoys (which explode for damage), requiring careful positioning.
Loot and the Azurite Lodestone
Participation in the Azure Solstice is heavily rewarded through unique currencies and items:
Azurite Gems: The primary currency, earned by sinking Azure ships and reaching collection milestones. These are spent at the Azurite Lodestone Vendor.
Winter Gifts: Special drops from defeating the Azure Royale and Azure Convoys (such as Holy Water and Ship in a Bottle). These gifts can be traded to various NPCs for valuable reward chests, often containing commodities, Silver, or Helm materials.

As it is the scary season we should not be surprised that the Skull and Bones game has a Halloween Event, after all we would not expect anything different from this game as it is set on the high seas where there are pirates, ghosts and haunted ships moving the oceans in search of treasure or more. The Skull and Bones Halloween Event will be running until the 18th of November.

Get your ship and crew ready for the Skull and Bones closed beta that is coming on the 15th of December but only lasts until the 18th, so you will need to be prepared to set sail for some high-seas action. There is nothing glamorous about being a pirate, but it can be rewarding if you play the game right.
It is a good move to launch the Skull and Bones in closed beta as it gives us all a chance to see what the game is all about and then maybe we will like it. The game is not all about massive sea battles, it’s about planning and making the right decision, that is what makes all the difference.
