    Imagine channel-surfing back to the glory days of 90s retro sports titles like NBA Jam or NHL ’94, then pumping it full of modern roguelite deck-building mechanics and distinct Australian comedy. That’s the wild recipe powering Pro Jank Footy.

    On the surface, two 18-player teams square off in high-tempo, pixel-art AFL action. But as soon as someone scores a goal, the sport completely goes off-rails.

    Every goal forces the opposition to choose from a deck of over 150 absurd, game-changing power-ups. Score a goal? Don’t get too comfy—your opponent might decide to:

    • Double their team size to swamp the field
    • Fire all the umpires into sun-drenched obscurity
    • Turn all the players on the ground into literal footballs
    • Spawn goalposts randomly all over the oval
    • Or even play as a giant, terrifying seagull

    No two matches ever play out the same way, making every season run an unpredictable sprint through comedy and sporting anarchy.
