March 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the franchise, and Ubisoft is pulling out all the stops. If you log in this month, you are greeted with a “Mini Season” designed as a love letter to the original game.
Realism Mode: This is the big one. For a limited time, you can play through the Warlords of New York expansion with a hardcore twist: no health regeneration, limited ammo, no HUD, and realistic weapon damage. It feels more like a tactical shooter than an RPG, and it’s a refreshing (if brutal) change of pace.
Legacy Global Events: Fan-favourite events from the first game, Ambush and Assault, have returned to The Division 2, rotating weekly throughout March.

The Return of Survival: “The Division 2: Survivors”
The community has been begging for it for years, and it’s finally happening. Survivors is a new mode currently in closed testing. It’s an extraction-style experience set in a snowstorm-ravaged Washington D.C. Unlike the original, Ubisoft says the weather will have a systemic impact on gameplay, meaning the cold is just as dangerous as the Hunters.
New DLC: Central Park?
While we just finished the Battle for Brooklyn expansion last year, a second 2026 DLC has been teased. While details are light, the teaser art points toward a return to New York—specifically Central Park. This expansion is rumoured to focus on a mysterious new threat hunting down Division Agents.
