Ubisoft is taking a trip back to its tactical roots with the latest Elite set for the Portuguese defender, Tubarão. While recent seasons have leaned heavily into flashy, futuristic crossovers (like the Ghost in the Shell or Nier bundles), the new Tubarão Elite is a grounded, historically inspired tribute that has the community talking.
Released on March 24, 2026, this bundle trades the high-tech cryo-suit for something much more personal to the operator’s heritage.
The Inspiration: The Carnation Revolution
The most striking element of the Tubarão Elite is its historical weight. The skin is a direct nod to the Carnation Revolution of 1974 in Portugal—a peaceful military coup that overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo regime.
The aesthetic features an authentic mid-70s Portuguese military uniform, complete with the iconic beret and webbing. It is a far cry from his default “scuba-gear” silhouette, offering a slimmer, more streamlined look that fits perfectly into the Siege aesthetic of old.
