    The Upside Down Returns: Everything in Dead by Daylight’s Stranger Things Chapter 2

    The Fog has just gotten a lot more crowded—and significantly more dangerous. Following the massive conclusion of Stranger Things Season 5, Behaviour Interactive has officially launched the highly anticipated Stranger Things Chapter 2 on January 27, 2026.

    While the original 2019 chapter brought us the Demogorgon, this second expansion dives deep into the series’ finale, bringing the true mastermind of Hawkins’ suffering into the Entity’s Realm.

    The New Killer: Vecna (The First)

    Known to some as Henry Creel and others as One, The First enters the game as a powerful, reality-warping Killer. Unlike the Dungeons & Dragons version of Vecna already in the game, this iteration is ripped straight from the Netflix series, complete with his iconic fleshy vines and telekinetic malice.

    • The Power: Test Subject #001
    • The Worldbreaker: Vecna can slip into the Upside Down to navigate the map with frightening speed, emerging through “Undergates” to surprise Survivors.
    • Grandfather Clocks: His presence introduces a new environmental mechanic. Cursed Survivors must find and interact with Grandfather Clocks to stave off a mounting dread that makes them vulnerable to a brutal, bone-shattering final blow.

    The Survivors: Eleven & Dustin Henderson

    Two of Hawkins’ most iconic heroes have finally joined the roster, bringing powerful new utility to the Survivor side.

    • Eleven (Jane Hopper): Her perks focus on her psychic resilience. With Extrasensory Perception, she can see auras while crouching, though at the cost of being temporarily Oblivious to the Killer’s presence.
    • Dustin Henderson: The group’s resident strategist brings technical ingenuity. His perk Bada Bada Boom allows him to transform toolboxes into med-kits while hiding in lockers, providing crucial mid-match adaptability.

    Legendary Outfits: Eddie & Robin

    Fans who want to play as other fan favourites are in luck. The chapter launches with two high-fidelity Legendary Outfits that completely transform existing characters, including original voice lines:

    • Eddie Munson (for Dustin Henderson)
    • Robin Buckley (for Nancy Wheeler)

    Why It Matters

    This update marks a shift toward Environmental Horror in Dead by Daylight. By adding physical objectives like the Grandfather Clocks and a Killer that literally traverses a sub-dimension, Chapter 2 feels more like a psychological thriller than a simple game of tag.
