Drift Into the Discount: Cult Indie Hit ‘Parking Garage Rally Circuit’ Skids Onto Nintendo Switch!

Retro arcade racing fans, it is time to start your engines and warm up those tyres. Polish indie publisher Pineapple Works and brilliant American solo-developer Walaber have officially dropped their cult hit, Parking Garage Rally Circuit, onto the Nintendo Switch!

Even better? It’s hitting the eShop alongside its brand-new European Tour DLC and a sweet -15% launch discount to kick off the high-speed celebrations.

    Retro Vibes Meet Precision Drifting

If you miss the golden, low-poly era of 90s Sega Saturn arcade racers mixed with addictive Mario Kart physics, this is your next gaming obsession. The premise is as gloriously simple as it is chaotic: tight, precision rally racing held across re-purposed, multi-story parking structures in major cities.

With incredibly snappy controls, dynamic “smash-into-things” physics, and a thrilling ska soundtrack, it’s a brilliant love letter to retro gaming that will have you hooked on beating your best time-trial records.

What’s Included in the Switch Launch?

    • The Base Game: Race through uniquely challenging parking garages across the USA, dodging obstacles like falling rocks and sudden power cuts.
    • The European Tour DLC: Expand your global racing footprint with all-new international multi-story circuits right out of the box.
    • Seamless Leaderboards: Beat the gold trophies and automatically download ghost cars of rivals just ahead of you for that “just one more round” addiction.
    • Multiplayer Action: Dust off your controllers and relive the glory days with 2-4 player split-screen multiplayer.

TechMash Verdict: Parking Garage Rally Circuit is a pure, unadulterated hit of nostalgic dopamine. Designed beautifully by a solo developer, its tight drifting mechanics and frantic pacing make it an absolute perfect fit for the portable Switch lifestyle.

Grab the Deal Before It’s Gone!

  • Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX: The Unofficial Review

Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX: The Unofficial Review

If you’re anything like me, the words “parking garage” don’t usually conjure images of high-octane racing and screeching tyres. More like endless circling, forgotten car locations, and the occasional existential dread. But then, Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX revs its engine, throws those notions into reverse, and speeds headfirst into a surprisingly fun arcade racing experience.

From the moment you boot it up, PGRC DX (as I’ll affectionately call it) makes no apologies for what it is: a game about racing really, really fast through multi-story concrete labyrinths. And honestly? It works.

The Good: Pure, Unadulterated Arcade Thrills

The first thing that hits you is the speed. Cars feel incredibly responsive and agile, making those tight turns and sudden elevation changes a genuine rush. Drifting is not just encouraged, it’s practically mandatory to shave seconds off your lap times and look incredibly cool doing it. The controls are simple and intuitive, meaning you can jump straight into the action without wrestling with complex mechanics.

The track design, while seemingly repetitive on paper, actually offers a surprising amount of variety within its “parking garage” theme. Each level presents new challenges, from hairpin turns on steep ramps to open sections perfect for a quick burst of nitrous. And speaking of nitrous, the boost mechanic is incredibly satisfying, adding another layer of strategy to when and where you decide to unleash that burst of speed.

Graphics & Sound: Functional and Fun

Now, let’s be clear: this isn’t a photorealistic simulator. The graphics are stylised, leaning into a vibrant, almost neon aesthetic that perfectly complements the arcade feel. The cars look cool, the environments are distinct enough, and the sense of speed is excellently conveyed.

The sound design is also a highlight. The roar of engines, the squeal of tyres, and the satisfying thwack of an opponent taking a wall a little too closely all contribute to the immersive experience. And the soundtrack? Pumping electronic beats that perfectly set the mood for high-speed urban chaos. You’ll be nodding your head as you drift around corners, I guarantee it.
