LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – Everything We Know About TT Games’ Next Blockbuster

Move over, Arkham; there’s a new (and significantly more plastic) Caped Crusader in town. After years of rumours and a long hiatus from the DC Universe, TT Games is finally returning to Gotham.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is slated for release on May 22, 2026, and from what we’ve seen, it’s not just another sequel—it’s a massive, brick-built love letter to 86 years of Batman history.

    A Massive Open-World Gotham

Forget the confined hubs of previous entries. Legacy of the Dark Knight promises a “living, breathing” Gotham City. Players will be able to grapple, glide, and drive through iconic landmarks, including:

    • Arkham Asylum
    • The Iceberg Lounge
    • Wayne Tower
    • Ace Chemicals

The scale appears to follow the “Skywalker Saga” philosophy, offering a sprawling open world filled with side missions, crimes to stop, and enough collectables to keep completionists busy until 2027.

    The Batcave: Your Customizable HQ

One of the most exciting reveals is the evolving Batcave. Starting as a modest storage unit, players can upgrade their base with the help of Lucius Fox.

    • Personalisation: You can decorate with science labs, training centres, and even absurd additions like a “Polka-Dot Man ball pit.”
    • Trophy Room: Collect classic Batman trophies (yes, including the giant penny and the T-Rex) by exploring the world and solving puzzles.
    • The Suit Vault: With over 100 Batsuits available, the vault acts as a playable museum of Batman’s history—from the 1939 Golden Age look to the Batman Beyond tech.

    Gameplay & Roster

The core story follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from his origins with the League of Shadows to becoming the legend we know today. While the narrative is Batman-centric, you aren’t fighting alone.

    Playable HeroSignature Skill
    BatmanGadget Master / Detective Vision
    RobinAcrobatics / Tech Interaction
    NightwingHigh-Speed Combat / Escapology
    BatgirlHacking / Stealth
    CatwomanWhip Traversal / Speed

The game also features a revamped combat system, including “Dark Knight Mode” for those seeking a genuine challenge, and a variety of vehicles like the Tumbler and the Batcycle.

    Physical Meets Digital

In true LEGO fashion, the game is launching alongside a new wave of physical sets. Interestingly, sets like the LEGO Batman Logo (76330) and various Batmobiles (76331, 76332) include QR codes. Scanning these will unlock digital versions of the vehicles and “Golden” character variants in-game—a neat bridge between the toy shelf and the console.

    Launch Details

    • Release Date: May 22, 2026 (Early Access begins May 19 for Deluxe Edition owners).
    • Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam/Epic).
    • Nintendo Switch 2: Confirmed as a wishlist item, with a release date expected to be announced at Summer Game Fest.

TechMash Verdict: With TT Games returning to their roots while utilizing the tech from The Skywalker Saga, Legacy of the Dark Knight looks like the definitive LEGO superhero experience.

  • Fire and Blood: Game of Thrones: Dragonfire Pre-Registration is Officially Live!

Fire and Blood: Game of Thrones: Dragonfire Pre-Registration is Officially Live!

Westeros is calling once again, and this time, the dragons are front and centre. Warner Bros. Games and HBO have officially opened global pre-registration for Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, a brand-new free-to-play mobile strategy game that takes us back to the golden age of House Targaryen.

If you’ve been missing the high-stakes political manoeuvring and scaly aerial warfare of House of the Dragon, this is the mobile experience you’ve been waiting for.

What is Game of Thrones: Dragonfire?

Set 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, Dragonfire is a 4X strategy title developed by Warner Bros. Games Boston. Unlike previous GoT mobile titles, this one is heavily inspired by the House of the Dragon era, focusing on the sheer power and tactical utility of the dragons themselves.

Players will step into the boots of a Valyrian descendant, tasked with:

    • Hatching and Raising Dragons: You aren’t just commanding generic units; you’ll collect, hatch, and train iconic dragons like Syrax, Caraxes, and Seasmoke.
    • Building Your House: Establish your stronghold, manage resources, and expand your influence across a tile-based map of Westeros.
    • Tactical Warfare: Engage in large-scale PvP and PvE battles, launching sieges against rival factions to claim the Iron Throne.
    • Seasonal “Reigns”: The game will feature eight-week seasons known as Reigns, packed with story-driven campaigns and massive community events.

    Pre-Registration Rewards: The Loot Pile

Warner Bros. is incentivising fans to sign up early with a tiered milestone system. The more people who pre-register, the better the rewards for everyone at launch.

    MilestoneReward
    All Participants100 Gold
    1 Million6 Banner Maker Sigils
    2 Million1,000 Runic Fragments
    5 Million2 Exclusive Avatars
    10 MillionDawnseeker (Rare Dragon)

TechMash Tip: Reaching that 10-million mark for the Dawnseeker dragon is the big goal here. Getting a rare dragon right at the start of a strategy game is a massive leg up for early-game dominance.

    Familiar Faces and New Stories

While you’ll be playing as an original character, you won’t be alone in the Seven Kingdoms. The game features a story-driven campaign where you’ll interact with major players from the show, including Rhaenyra Targaryen, Daemon Targaryen, and Alicent Hightower.

The visuals look impressively sharp for a mobile title, capturing the grim, atmospheric aesthetic of King’s Landing, Dragonstone, and Harrenhal.

    How to Pre-Register

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is slated for a full release later in 2026 (timed perfectly to build hype alongside future seasons of the show). You can head over to the App Store, Google Play, or the official gotdragonfire.com website to secure your spot.

Are you ready to claim your birthright with fire and blood, or will your House be ashes in the wind? Let us know in the comments if you’ll be aiming for the Iron Throne!
