Dusk, Deck, Destiny — Cards After Midnight Unleashes a Cursed Roguelike Adventure!

The clock is ticking — and midnight brings a terrifying change. Publisher JanduSoft has teamed up with Córdoba-based indie studio Boomfire Games (creators of Furwind, Cards of the Dead, and The Creepy Syndrome) to bring Cards After Midnight to every platform — a dark roguelike card adventure where time itself is your deadliest enemy.

Daylight Fades — The Curse Awakens

Cards After Midnight isn’t just about building a powerful deck — it’s about surviving the relentless march of time. Your character, your cards, and your very nature shift as the hours pass:

    • By Day — You’re a hunted survivor, armed and desperate, preparing for what the night will bring. Plan your strategy, fortify your deck, and make every card count before the sun sets
    • At Midnight — The curse takes hold. You transform, and your cards — and your fate — change entirely. The villagers hunt you, and you must rely on savage new powers to survive until dawn

Every run is a race against the clock. Your deck evolves, your choices reshape the story, and one wrong move can seal your fate forever.

Proven Talent — A Partnership Born of Passion

Boomfire Games, based in Córdoba, Spain, has built a reputation for stylish, atmospheric indie experiences — and Cards After Midnight looks to be their most ambitious yet. Together with JanduSoft, they’re bringing this gothic tale of transformation and survival to PC and all major consoles in Q1 2027.

A free demo is already available on Steam — step into the first chapter and face the curse for yourself.

All Vengeance — Vaewolf Unleashes Its Story at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct

Every beast has a story. This beast is born of vengeance.

Following its striking reveal at Gamescom last month, Vaewolf has returned with a blistering new trailer during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct — pulling back the curtain on the dark origins and relentless quest for revenge at the heart of this supernatural hack-and-slash.

From Survivor to Legend — The Story of Vaewolf

You were once a young elf — the sole survivor of a brutal massacre. Your family, your home, your peace — all taken by a ruthless Viking clan led by the chieftain Bloodaxe. Left for dead in the frozen wilderness, you were touched by two ancient curses: the feral rage of the werewolf and the immortal power of the vampire. Together, they forged something entirely new — the Vaewolf.

Now you hunt. Not just for survival — for justice. For blood.

    • A journey born of grief — witness the massacre that ignites an unquenchable fire for retribution
    • Three forms, one purpose — shift instantly between Elf, Werewolf, and Vampire, each with unique powers that grow as your quest deepens
    • A land reimagined — hunt across a hand-drawn fantasy version of Cumbria’s Lake District, from mist-shrouded forests to sunken ruins and snowbound peaks
    • Face the architect of your pain — track Bloodaxe and his clan through three distinct regions, where every battle brings you closer to the final reckoning

    Trailer Reveal & Release Details

The new story trailer dives deeper into the transformation that defines Vaewolf — showing how loss became power, and how one survivor became a nightmare for an entire clan.
