During Summer Game Fest 2026, Telltale Games dropped the bombshell we’ve all been waiting for: a brand-new, official gameplay and reveal trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2.

The Big Bad Wolf is Back in the Cold
The gorgeous new trailer thrusts us right back into the gritty, neon-soaked (and now very snowy) streets of 1980s New York City. Taking place roughly six months after the mind-bending conclusion of the first season, The Wolf Among Us 2 finds Bigby suspended from his role as Sheriff, navigating a fragile peace between the hidden Fable community and the unsuspecting “Mundie” (mundane) world.
The trailer gives us a delicious taste of what’s to come:
- A Brutal Winter Setting: Fabletown is covered in a thick layer of New York snow, adding a cold, isolated noir vibe to the detective work.

When Can We Play It?
While we all hoped we might be playing it by the end of the year, Telltale dropped a realistic, yet highly anticipated window: The Wolf Among Us 2 will officially launch in 2027. Given the studio’s turbulent history—from its heartbreaking 2018 closure to its miraculous rebirth under LCG Entertainment—taking the extra time to ensure the game is polished, healthy for the developers, and narratively brilliant is a compromise we are more than willing to make.
