The global performance clothing market is projected to hit $200 billion a year by 2024. With the increasing trend of combining fast fashion with ever-lower prices, it comes with an unprecedented burden on the environment. In order to achieve performance functions such as quick-dry and anti-odour, tons of environmentally damaging chemicals are used in textile production every day; what’s worse, these chemicals wash away very quickly during laundering into the ecosystem.
At Koup, our mission is to create high-performance clothing that is durable and sustainable. We use patented technology to eliminate the use of harmful chemicals, instead, we use natural cinnamon extracts and material physics to create clothing that is anti-odour, quick-dry and cooling.
With these unique technologies, the functions of the t-shirt will not wash out, meaning you don’t throw away clothing as often. To help to close the loop in the garment industry, we make our t-shirt with recycling in mind. Garments made from mixed materials, which are hard to recycle, usually end up in landfill, being incremented or, even worse, as ocean waste.
We will be launching our first product, the cinnamon t-shirt, on Kickstarter on the 17th of December. You will be able to test out these latest fabric technologies at discounted introductory prices.
This is a Koup d’etat, we want to challenge the current apparel industry norm and take the lead in revolutionising the industry. It is an uphill battle, so we’d like your support to help make this movement happen! Find out more!
