For the first time since the conclusion of Smallville in 2011, the Man of Steel will anchor his own TV show…and this time, he’ll be suited up and ready for action.
The CW announced today that they’ve given a series order to Superman and Lois, a new ongoing series set in the network’s “Arrowverse” and featuring the Last Son of Krypton and his equally iconic wife and companion. Here’s what the official series description has to say about it:
Superman and Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) as the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Both Hoechlin and Tulloch have already appeared as these iconic characters in multiple episodes of The CW’s DC superhero series, including this season’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event, which concludes tonight.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois is written and executive produced by Todd Helbing (The Flash) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. The series is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC.
Their family is anything but ordinary. The 2-hour premiere event airs Tuesday, February 23! Stream next day free only on The CW for more details go to the DC Comics Superman and Lois page here.
