Welcome to the Jungle: ‘Hell Let Loose: Vietnam’ Is Available Now!

Tactical shooter fans, get your gear ready. Team17 and Expression Games have officially dropped Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, bringing the brutal, high-stakes combat of the franchise straight into the dense jungles and winding rivers of Southeast Asia.

If you loved the hardcore 50v50 action of the original World War II title, prepare yourself—the battlefield has evolved, and the jungle is a whole new beast.

Massive 50v50 Warfare Takes to the Canopy

At its core, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam stays true to what made the series a cult favourite: uncompromising realism, team-dependent strategy, and massive 50v50 combined-arms warfare.

Across 6 huge launch maps inspired by real-world locations, two 50-player teams (the US Armed Forces and the North Vietnamese Army) square off to capture sectors in tense, tug-of-war battles. With 17 specialised roles spread across infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads, and brand-new specialist units, victory relies heavily on squad communication, chain-of-command orders, and tactical coordination.

Air Support, Tunnel Networks, and River Patrols

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam isn’t just a simple reskin—it introduces major mechanical shifts tailored to the iconic conflict:

    • Helicopters in the Sky: US forces gain access to fully operational helicopters. Pilots can swoop in to deliver vital air support, drop supply crates behind enemy lines, or drop squadmates right into the hot zone.
    • NVA Tunnel Networks: To counter heavy US firepower, North Vietnamese forces can construct intricate, stealthy tunnel networks. These tunnels allow squads to flank the enemy unnoticed, set deadly ambushes, and vanish back into the shadows.
    • Riverine Combat: Complex river networks slice through the jungle terrain, introducing heavily armed patrol boats for fast-paced river assault and transport.
    • Enhanced Movement & Mechanics: Players can now swim, climb, fast-crawl, and even drag wounded comrades out of the line of fire to heal them safely behind cover.

    A True Hardcore Experience

Whether you’re navigating mist-shrouded mountain gorges, clearing out dense bamboo thickets, or listening closely for the thud of incoming mortar fire, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam offers an unparalleled sense of immersion powered by Unreal Engine 5. There are no lone-wolf heroes here—only soldiers working together to hold the line.

    How to Play

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is available now on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

  • Multiverse Mayhem! Serious Sam: Shatterverse Charges Onto PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 31

Multiverse Mayhem! Serious Sam: Shatterverse Charges Onto PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 31

Hold onto your butts, arcade shooter fans! Everyone’s favourite, one-liner-spouting, alien-annihilating action hero is making an explosive return—and this time, he’s brought an army of himself.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is officially charging onto PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 31. Developed by Behaviour Interactive (the studio behind Dead by Daylight) with the blessing of series creator Croteam, and published by Devolver Digital, this latest instalment flips the classic formula on its head with high-octane multiversal multiplayer and roguelite progression.

Here is everything you need to know before stepping into the portal this month.

    1. A Multiverse of Sams (Up to 5-Player Co-Op)

When Uber Mental’s evil machinations tear open the fabric of reality, one Serious Sam just isn’t enough. In Shatterverse, up to five players can team up in online co-op, taking on the roles of alternate-dimension Sams from across the multiverse.

Joined by fan-favourite voice actor John Dick, returning once again to deliver Sam’s iconic attitude, you and your squad will form the “Serious Program”—a cross-dimensional task force formed to fix broken timelines and finish the fights that other Sams couldn’t.

    2. Roguelite FPS Action: Fall Fast, Come Back Louder

Forget static campaign runs. Shatterverse introduces procedurally shifting runs taking place across hand-crafted arenas in previously unexplored worlds.

    • Stack Wild Boons & Modifiers: As you push through wave-based arena combat, you’ll earn game-bending upgrades, stack power-up boons, and experiment with risky run modifiers that supercharge your arsenal—or risk ending your run instantly.
    • Persistent Progression: In true roguelite fashion, death is just a temporary setback. Earn permanent upgrades and unlock new strategies with every attempt as you hunt down Mental’s five deadly lieutenants.

    3. Big Guns and Remixed Hordes

What would a Serious Sam game be without mindless, chaotic firepower?

Expect a lethal blend of classic legacy weapons (like the Minigun and Double Barrel Coach Gun) alongside fresh, experimental weaponry engineered to clear out massive arenas. You’ll be locking, loading, and spraying lead into familiar foes—including the notorious Beheaded Kamikazes and Kleer Skeletons—plus a terrifying lineup of brand-new, remixed monsters under Mental’s command.

The Verdict: Lock and Load on August 31!

Whether you’re a long-time veteran who remembers circle-strafing through ancient Egypt or a newcomer looking for pure, unadulterated co-op chaos, Serious Sam: Shatterverse promises fast-paced arcade action like never before.

Mark your calendars for August 31, 2026, gather your squad of Sams, and prepare to repair the multiverse one explosion at a time!

  • Lock, Load, and Wall-Run: The ‘Cyber Rail’ Demo Is Here to Bring High-Octane Cyberpunk Western Chaos

Lock, Load, and Wall-Run: The ‘Cyber Rail’ Demo Is Here to Bring High-Octane Cyberpunk Western Chaos

Gear up, gamers! If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if you fused the wild, bullet-riddled action of a classic Western with high-speed cyberpunk parkour, indie developer Torn Ace Studios has the answer. The team has officially dropped the first playable demo for their highly anticipated roguelike FPS, Cyber Rail, on Steam!

It’s time to step into the steel boots of a cybernetic robot cowboy and take back the tracks from ruthless gangs of futuristic bandits.

Here is everything you need to know about one of the most thrilling indie demos to hit Steam.

    Saddle Up, Cyber Cowboy

In Cyber Rail, peace isn’t an option when high-tech train rustlers are involved. Players are thrust into a series of frantic, high-stakes stagecoach and flying train shootouts. As an armed-to-the-teeth robot cowboy, your goal is simple: clear out the enemy bandits car-by-car, collect powerful gear, build game-breaking synergies, and survive the journey.

Because it’s built as a roguelike FPS, no two runs feel identical. Every shootout forces you to adapt on the fly, unlocking devastating weapon combinations and perks that turn your metal lawman into an unstoppable force of nature.

    High-Speed Parkour Meets Bullet-Hell Gunplay

What really sets Cyber Rail apart from standard shooters is its electrifying mobility system. Firefights aren’t just about taking cover behind a wooden crate—they’re about momentum.

To survive the relentless hail of gunfire, players can master a fluid parkour system that includes:

    • Grappling & Swinging: Hook onto environments or enemies to sling yourself across massive gaps or directly into combat.
    • Sliding & Wall-Running: Mantle, slide, and wall-run across speeding train cars to outmanoeuvre surrounding bandit mobs.
    • Super Jumps & Synergies: Cancel grapples for momentum boosts, combine movement techs, and keep moving to stay alive.

Combine these lightning-fast traversal mechanics with an arsenal of futuristic firearms—from transforming weaponry to boomerang-style combat tools—and you’ve got a recipe for pure, adrenaline-pumping gameplay.

Try the Free Demo on Steam Today!

Torn Ace Studios has delivered an incredible first taste of what Cyber Rail has to offer. Whether you’re a fan of roguelikes, fast-paced boomershooters, or just love the idea of being a cyber-samurai-meets-gunslinger on a speeding diesel train, this is a demo you don’t want to miss.

  • Silence Is Golden: Why Sniper Support Is the Ultimate Battlefield Controller

Silence Is Golden: Why Sniper Support Is the Ultimate Battlefield Controller

In tactical gaming and competitive shooters, there is a fundamental rule that separates casual players from legendary strategists: The best firefight is the one that never happens. When most players jump into a match, they head straight for high-fire-rate rifles, heavy artillery, and explosives with one goal in mind—dealing as much raw damage as possible. But if your strategy relies on out-shooting the enemy in a chaotic, mid-range brawl, you are leaving your team’s survival to a coin toss.

That is precisely what makes sniper support so indispensable.

Sniper support isn’t about topping the damage leaderboard or flexing quick-scope montages on TikTok. It’s about battlefield control, risk reduction, and securing victory before the enemy even realises they’re under attack.

Here is why a dedicated sniper support role is the ultimate secret weapon for any squad.

    1. Controlling the Flow of Battle

A great sniper does not just eliminate targets; they alter enemy behaviour. The moment a sniper bullet cracks overhead or takes out an enemy squad leader, the entire dynamic of the engagement changes.

Enemies slow down. They take cover. They hesitate.

By holding long sightlines and choke points, a sniper dictates where the enemy can and cannot move. This spatial control buys your assault players time to flank, loot, re-arm, or secure objectives without taking unnecessary damage.

    2. Information Is More Deadly Than Bullets

Before a bullet is ever fired, a sniper support player provides the most valuable resource in gaming: information.

High-magnification optics allow snipers to act as the squad’s eyes on the battlefield. They spot incoming third parties, identify enemy loadouts, call out flankers, and track movement across vast distances. Giving your team the drop on an unsuspecting enemy squad means you enter fights with a 100% advantage, wrapping up engagements quietly and efficiently.

    3. Mitigating Risk and Conserving Resources

Direct, close-quarters firefights are expensive. They consume armour, ammo, health kits, and—most importantly—time. Every second spent in an extended gunfight increases the risk of getting third-partied by another team listening to the noise.

Sniper support eliminates this chaos. Taking down key threats from a distance or breaking enemy armour before your team pushes drastically lowers the damage your front-line squadmates take. Less damage taken means fewer resources wasted and a much higher chance of surviving until the final circle.

    4. The Mental Game: Psychological Warfare

Never underestimate the power of psychological pressure. Knowing there is a competent sniper watching from the tree line or a high-rise window creates immediate panic.

Enemies make reckless mistakes when they feel trapped. They throw panicky smoke grenades, waste abilities, or break cover out of desperation—making them easy pickings for your aggressive entry fraggers.

Final Thoughts: Victory by Design, Not Chance

Running a sniper support role requires patience, discipline, and top-tier communication. It requires setting aside the ego of chasing high kill counts in favour of tactical dominance.

Next time you assemble your squad, don’t just stack up on assault rifles. Assign a dedicated long-range overwatch. When you control the space, master information, and eliminate threats before they can react, you’ll realise that winning isn’t just about shooting faster—it’s about fighting smarter.

  • Boots on the Ground: War Thunder Infantry Enters Massive 128-Player Closed Beta 3!

Boots on the Ground: War Thunder Infantry Enters Massive 128-Player Closed Beta 3!

If you thought War Thunder was just about heavy armour, soaring fighter jets, and naval broadsides, think again. Gaijin Entertainment is officially dropping players right into the mud. The highly anticipated third stage of the War Thunder Infantry Closed Beta Test (CBT) is officially kicking off this July, and it is bringing some seriously massive upgrades to the battlefield.

We are talking about a major scale-up, fresh modern hardware, and a brand-new combat zone that changes the pacing of the game entirely. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming test phase.

Welcome to Kivu: A Massive Central African Warzone

The centrepiece of CBT Phase 3 is Kivu, an all-new map set in Central Africa that is roughly four times larger than previous infantry locations like Granitograd and Al-Massa.

Because the map is so vast, Gaijin has optimised its server infrastructure to handle true large-scale warfare. This test phase reintroduces the 64-vs-64 format, allowing up to 128 players to clash simultaneously in the same match.

To prevent this massive map from turning into a walking simulator, the developers are introducing several experimental gameplay mechanics:

    • Forward Respawns: For the first time, players can spawn directly onto capture points controlled by their team, keeping the pressure right on the front lines.
    • Squad Transport Vehicles: The test introduces a five-player light passenger car, allowing squads to rotate across the map together. If the driver gets sniped, any passenger can switch to the driver’s seat on the fly.
    • Total Dominance: A new ticket-drain mechanic means that if your team controls all five capture points at once, the enemy’s victory points bleed away even faster.

Modern Arsenals & Distinct Soldier Classes

Both factions are getting unique, region-specific modern gear and specialised loadouts. Rather than every soldier having access to all gear, player classes have been heavily revised to encourage strategic teamwork. Special-purpose equipment like RPGs, MANPADS, and drones are now locked to specific roles.

Expect to wield top-tier small arms and operate heavy support machinery:

    • USA Forces: M4A1, SCAR-L, XM5, and the M110 SDMR, backed by M1A2 SEP V2 main battle tanks, LAV-AD air defense systems, and AH-64A Apache helicopters.
    • USSR Forces: AK-12, AK-15, SVDM, and the Kord 6P67, supported by T-90M tanks, 2S6 Tunguska systems, and Mi-28N Havoc attack helicopters.

Smarter Arcade Battles and Visual Tweaks

Arcade Battles are making a return, but with a major tactical overhaul to the marker display logic. To stop players from simply shooting at red UI indicators through dense foliage, markers will now only appear if you have a direct, unobstructed line of sight to the enemy model. If they duck behind smoke, walls, or trees, the marker vanishes. Furthermore, heavily equipped soldiers will now move faster in Arcade mode compared to Realistic mode to keep the match pacing snappy.

Gaijin has also listened to community feedback by adding a dedicated graphics settings tab specifically for the Infantry mode, meaning you can tune your performance for ground combat without messing up your main vehicle settings.

    How to Join the Fight

If you haven’t yet experienced War Thunder from a boots-on-the-ground perspective, the doors aren’t completely shut. Players can head over to the official War Thunder website right now to apply for CBT access before the July testing window begins.

Get your squad ready—the battlefield is about to get a whole lot louder.

  • The Stanley Parable With a Loaded Rifle: ‘War Fantasy’ is the Ultimate Technophobic Mindfk

The Stanley Parable With a Loaded Rifle: ‘War Fantasy’ is the Ultimate Technophobic Mindfk

The modern military shooter has a formula. You drop in, follow the waypoint, shoot the bad guys, and feel like an absolute hero. But a freshly dropped announcement trailer from indie developer Non-Euclidean is about to violently tear up that script.

Enter War Fantasy, an upcoming psychological horror FPS that aims to systematically dismantle the genre. Described by its creators as “The Stanley Parable with a loaded rifle,” this title is a deeply unsettling, technophobic dive into how the line between military simulations and real-world warfare has completely dissolved.

Check out the trailer breakdown below and see why this game is already messing with the heads of FPS fans.

Psychological Conditioning as a Gameplay Mechanic

Instead of stepping into the combat boots of a glorified action hero, War Fantasy casts you as a blank slate being systematically broken down. You are trapped inside an infinite military training compound under the thumb of a demented, emotionally abusive commanding officer who watches, logs, and analyses your every move.

The horror here isn’t jump scares; it’s the insidious psychological pressure. Every shot you fire, every order you blindly follow, and every second you spend hesitating is fed back into a cold, uncaring algorithm designed to strip away your humanity.

The game draws a direct line from Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket straight to the modern military shooter, forcing players to ask a terrifying question: What have video games actually been training us for?

    Navigating the Impossible: Non-Euclidean Terror

True to the developer’s name, the world of War Fantasy doesn’t adhere to standard physics or geometry. As the psychological conditioning intensifies, the physical environment breaks down:

    • Looping Corridors: Hallways that fold in on themselves, trapping you in a perpetual maze of military-industrial architecture.
    • Kaleidoscopic Arenas: Training simulations with no logical exits that shift and reassemble based on your compliance.
    • Hyper-Realistic Weaponry: An incredibly detailed arsenal of modern firearms, drones, and near-future tech. The game intentionally makes the weapons feel real—because authenticity is part of the conditioning.

The game is banking heavily on technophobia, weaponising the player’s choices and behaviours against them. With Steam tags like Narrative, Psychological Horror, and Choices Matter, your attempts to resist or obey will actively shape the nightmare.

Are We Playing Games, or Are Games Playing Us?

What makes War Fantasy look so brilliant—and deeply uncomfortable—is its meta-commentary on the gaming industry itself. It directly targets the normalisation of violence through the gamification of real-world warfare (think drone pilots using controllers).

It isn’t interested in making you feel powerful. It wants you to feel controlled, analysed, and thoroughly trapped inside a machine that won’t let you leave until you’ve been turned into the perfect weapon.

War Fantasy is currently slated for a PC release via Steam, and it’s safe to say our wishlists are already updating. If you’re tired of the same old military power fantasies and want a shooter that will genuinely mess with your head, this is the one to watch.
