If you’re looking for your next indie obsession, stop scrolling. Elflock is a masterclass in atmosphere.
What I love most about it:
The Art Direction: Hauntingly beautiful hand-drawn aesthetics.
The Lore: Deeply rooted in traditional folk tales (with a dark twist).
The Difficulty: It’s tough, but winning feels incredibly rewarding.
Mysterious, dark, and visually heavy. Lost in the thicket.
In Elflock, every shadow tells a story, and every whisper is a warning. This isn’t just a journey through the woods—it’s a survival test against folklore that doesn’t want to be found.
Are you brave enough to untangle the secrets of the grove, or will you become just another legend lost to the trees?
In Primal Reign, every roar in the distance is a threat, and every fire lit is a beacon for enemies. We are entering the Age of New Kings, where only the strongest bloodlines survive.
Will you be a forgotten ancestor, or a legend of the Primal Reign?
The Hunt Begins.
Forget what you know about survival. In Primal Reign: The Age of New Kings, you aren’t just surviving the prehistoric wild—you’re conquering it.
Build your tribe from the ground up.
Tame massive beasts that others fear.
Clash with rival kings for ultimate territory.
The throne is empty. Will you take it, or will the jungle take you?

Brave Soulforged, King Arthur has called in reinforcements! The latest content update for SWORN has landed, bringing a fresh wave of challenge, power, and polish to the dark, Arthurian co-op rogue-like. Prepare to face three new corrupted Knights of the Round Table and dominate the battlefield with significant weapon and blessing tweaks.
Here is your essential guide to what’s new in the fight to reclaim Camelot!
Arthur’s New Corrupted Knights: Three Alternate Bosses
The biggest addition to this patch is the introduction of three new alternate Bosses. If you’ve been carving your way through the greater difficulties, prepare for an unexpected twist! These foes can now appear at the end of a Biome instead of the usual boss when playing on Knight difficulty or higher.
New Boss
Title & Key Challenge
Lady Kay
Wall of Camelot. Wields a gigantic shield. You must find a way to power through her formidable defenses.
Sir Dagonet
Grasp of The Mire. A gluttonous knight who revels in traps and poison, dragging Soulforged and rendering them immobile with his devastating hook.
Lady Agravain
Scourge of Ships. Driven mad, this terrifying adversary dashes around her nest with breakneck speed. You’ll need to read her movements to survive her flurry of feathers and steel.
These new encounters drastically increase the variety and unpredictability of each run, ensuring even the most seasoned players will need to adapt their strategies.
Combat Domination: Weapons & Blessings Tweaks
The developers have listened to player feedback and delivered some potent adjustments to the combat system, focusing on increasing build diversity and player power at the high end.
Attack Speed Cap Increased: The Bonus Attack Speed internal maximum has been increased from 50% to a massive 100%. This means the total attack speed cap is now 2x your base, up from 1.5x, opening the door for even faster, more frenetic builds!
Quality of Life for the Tome: The Tome’s Augment ‘Book Mark’ now has a Perfect Shot indicator, rewarding precise timing.
Bug Fixes and Balance: Several blessings and weapon augments that were granting unintended amounts of attack speed (like Oberon’s Flow and the Gauntlets’ ‘Flying Fists’) have been corrected to ensure fair, yet powerful, gameplay.
The Potion Station: New Run-to-Run Mechanic
The fight for Camelot just got a little more strategic! The previous major update introduced a New Potion System, which is worth highlighting for new and returning players:
Custom Flasks: Before each run, you can now speak to Guinevere to choose a powerful flask that offers an additional edge in combat.
Fae Lord Shrines: Find special Fae Lord shrines during your run to unlock their unique flask, which guarantees a blessing from that specific Fae Lord. This allows for a deeper level of build planning and consistency.
More Polish, More Power
Beyond the major features, this update includes numerous general quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes:
Updated VFX for the Greathammer and various event rooms.
Stability and performance improvements, especially for lower-end machines.
Tweaks to major enemy behaviour, like the Deep Harbour Wave Thrower and Major Suncaster, make their encounters more challenging and consistent with other Major Foes.
This update is a clear signal that the fight against the corrupted King Arthur is far from over. Grab your allies, choose your oaths, and dive back into a revitalised and even more challenging Camelot!
Ahoy, deckbuilders! The high seas call once more, and this time, Fabled Game has delivered an adventure even grander than the last. Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the sequel to the beloved roguelike deckbuilder, is here (currently in Early Access on Steam!), bringing with it a tide of new mechanics, stunning visuals, and endless replayability.
If you’re a fan of Slay the Spire, Monster Train, or the first Pirates Outlaws, grab your cutlass and prepare to chart a new course.
More Freedom, More Treasure: A Sea of Changes
While the core loop of fighting, looting, and deck-building remains, Heritage has introduced a number of fresh features that make for a deeper, more strategic voyage.
Open-Sea Navigation: Say goodbye to the linear path of the past. You now have more freedom to explore the map, revisiting islands, stopping at taverns for supplies, or trading at markets. This adds a crucial layer of route planning, as you must manage your precious rations (which look suspiciously like rum!) and decide if chasing that elite enemy is worth the time and supplies.
Hero, Class, and Companion Synergy: Customization has exploded! You start in your New Elysia mansion, choosing a Hero, an accompanying Class, and a new Animal Companion (who adds their own unique cards to your deck). This three-way combination allows for a vast number of starting strategies, encouraging experimentation right from the jump.
The Card Evolution Tree: Finding three copies of the same card isn’t just about upgrades anymore—it’s about evolution. You get to choose between two different evolution paths, allowing you to fine-tune your deck with enhanced effects, scaling damage, or utility. This is a game-changer for deck optimization.
Enhanced Combat Countdown: The turn-based combat is sharper than ever. A new countdown system is tied to your card plays, determining when the enemy will act. Mastering this mechanic is key to survival, adding a layer of tactical finesse to every encounter.
A New Coat of Paint (and a Whole Lot of Personality)
One of the first things veterans of the series will notice is the striking visual upgrade. The faceless, stylized graphics of the original have been replaced by gorgeously illustrated, vibrant characters that are bursting with personality. The world feels more alive, supported by an atmospheric, orchestral soundtrack that perfectly sets the scene for a grand pirate adventure.
Is It Worth Setting Sail?
While the game is currently in Early Access (meaning some initial features like the tutorial might be a little rough around the edges), it is already impressively stuffed with content:
250+ cards and 90+ relics to discover.
Multiple heroes with numerous classes and companions.
The challenging Arena Mode for combat purists.
Long-term progression systems like the Heritage Talent Tree and the Black Market to banish unwanted cards.
Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage takes a well-loved formula, injects it with a huge amount of depth, and wraps it all up in a beautiful, thematic package. It’s a compelling, one-more-run experience that will hook any fan of the roguelike deckbuilding genre. It manages to feel familiar yet distinctly new—a true “seaquel” that deserves its spot on your Steam or mobile wishlist.
Have you played the first Pirates Outlaws? What mechanic are you most excited to try in Heritage?
