Tempt Your FATE: Iconic Dungeon Crawler ‘FATE: Reawakened’ Gets Physical PS5 and Switch Releases via Limited Run Games!

For PC gamers who grew up in the mid-2000s, the mere mention of the town of Grove, fishing for rare artefacts, and sending a trusted pet back to town with a backpack full of loot triggers an instant wave of cosy nostalgia. Originally launched in 2005, Travis Baldree’s legendary action-RPG FATE paved the way for modern dungeon crawlers and directly inspired hits like Torchlight.

After making a massive comeback with a modern digital remaster, publisher gamigo has just announced the news physical media collectors have been waiting for: FATE: Reawakened is officially getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5!

Even better? They are partnering with the physical-release wizards at Limited Run Games to make it happen.

What’s Included in the Definitive Physical Edition?

This isn’t just a bare-bones disc or cartridge release. Priced at $49.99 USD, the physical edition functions as a definitive, complete collection for the franchise. If you pick it up, you are getting a massive bundle of nostalgic goodness:

    • The Full Quadrilogy: All four original games completely remastered in one package—FATE, FATE: Undiscovered Realms, FATE: The Traitor Soul, and FATE: The Cursed King.
    • The Prometheus DLC: The physical version includes the most recent content expansion, taking players into the shadowed, god-abandoned city of Prometheus to reclaim the Golden Flame from Erebos, the Titan of Darkness.
    • Exclusive Collectable Booklet: A physical art and lore booklet to proudly display on your shelf alongside the game.

    Reawakened for a Modern Generation

If you missed the digital launch, FATE: Reawakened isn’t just a simple port. The entire collection has been treated to a complete graphical overhaul, boasting higher polygon counts, real-time directional lighting, and ambient occlusion.

The core mechanics that made the original a classic remain completely intact. You’ll still delve into procedurally generated dungeons where no two layouts are the same, fish to find rare items or transform your companion pet, and level up your character with complete freedom. Plus, you can seamlessly import your hero across all four games, taking your legacy from Grove all the way to the scorching desert dunes of Ekbatan.

Don’t Miss Out: Pre-Order Window Details

As is the tradition with Limited Run Games, this is a timed release. You won’t want to wait around on this one, as once the window shuts, copies will likely skyrocket on the secondhand market.

Pre-orders are open right now and run through July 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Whether you are a longtime fan looking to put a foundational piece of your childhood gaming history on your shelf, or a console player eager to dive into a genre trailblazer for the first time, head over to the Limited Run Games website to secure your copy.
