Judgment is Coming: Fulqrum Publishing Reveals Inquisitor Simulator

If you’ve ever looked at a chaotic situation and thought, “This would be much easier if I could just purge the lot of them,” then Fulqrum Publishing has a treat for you. The publisher behind Forgive Me Father and Men of War has officially announced Inquisitor Simulator, a darkly humorous management sim that puts you in the hot seat of a medieval-esque inquisitorial monastery.

Coming to PC and consoles, this isn’t your typical “save the world” hero story. It’s a game about making tough calls with very little evidence and dealing with the (often messy) consequences.

    Faith, Instinct, and Wild Guesswork

Developed by Edyan.dev, a small but ambitious three-person team, Inquisitor Simulator casts you as an Inquisitor overseeing a remote monastery. Your job? Identify and contain supernatural threats. The catch? The truth is rarely obvious, and the “Inquisitor’s Manual” doesn’t cover everything.

    Key features include:

    • Monastery Management: Restore crumbling halls, manage your staff of monks, and expand forbidden archives. You’ll need to balance spiritual purity with structural integrity.
    • The Interrogation Room: Use a variety of tools and “persuasive encouragement” to extract confessions. Whether they are actually guilty is sometimes a secondary concern to getting the job done.
    • Deep Alchemy System: Brew remedies to help your followers or corruptive mixtures for… other purposes. Experimentation is encouraged, even if you immediately regret the results.
    • Diverse Threats: Face five major supernatural horrors and a rotating cast of lesser evils. When in doubt, the developers suggest that “apply fire” remains a highly effective fallback.

A Different Kind of Dark Fantasy

While the premise sounds grim, the game leans heavily into dark satire. You’ll be processing a steady stream of suspicious individuals—some genuinely possessed, some just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s a management sim where “misjudgment” is a gameplay mechanic rather than a failure state.

“Prepare to pass judgment where certainty is rare, evidence is questionable, and the stakes may be spiritually catastrophic.”

    When Can We Play?

While a specific release date hasn’t been nailed down just yet, Fulqrum has confirmed the title is heading to PC (via Steam) and consoles.

For those who enjoyed the atmospheric dread of The Inquisitor (2024) but wanted more hands-on management and a wicked sense of humour, this looks like one to add to the wishlist.

Are you ready to restore order, or will your monastery fall to total annihilation? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

  • Take to the Skies: Solarpunk Lands on PC and Consoles this June

Take to the Skies: Solarpunk Lands on PC and Consoles this June

Get your airships ready and your solar panels polished. The wait for one of the most anticipated indie titles of the year is nearly over. Publisher rokaplay and developer Cyberwave have officially announced that their cosy survival adventure, Solarpunk, will launch on June 8, 2026.

The announcement, which debuted during the recent Triple-I Initiative showcase, confirms that the game will be coming to a wide array of platforms, including PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2.

    A High-Flying Vision

Developed by a dedicated two-person team over the last four years, Solarpunk has become a massive community favourite, amassing over one million wishlists on Steam. Set in a stunning world of floating islands, the game swaps the typical “grit and grime” of the survival genre for a hopeful, high-tech future where sustainability is the name of the game.

Key Features to Look Forward To:

    • Sustainable Survival: Forget hunting for scrap in the mud. In Solarpunk, you harness the power of the sun, wind, and water to create renewable energy systems that power your gadgets and automated farms.
    • Airship Exploration: The sky is your playground. Players can build and customise their own airships to travel between distant islands, discovering new resources and secrets hidden in the clouds.
    • Co-op Adventures: While you can enjoy a peaceful solo journey, the game supports online co-op for up to four players. Share the load of resource gathering, build a massive floating sanctuary together, or simply enjoy the view with friends.
    • Cosy Automation: From building intricate irrigation systems to crafting helpful robots, the focus is on creating a self-sufficient ecosystem so you have more time to explore and decorate.

“Solarpunk is a survival game in a technically advanced world of floating islands… Alone or together with your friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and hop on your airship to explore distant islands in the sky.” — Cyberwave Development Team

    Why the Hype is Real

The game’s recent demo during Steam Next Fest saw over 500,000 downloads, proving that there is a massive appetite for “cosy survival.” By removing the stress of traditional survival mechanics and replacing them with rewarding automation and beautiful aesthetics, Cyberwave is carving out a unique niche in the genre.

Whether you’re looking to build a sustainable paradise or explore the far reaches of a shattered world, mark your calendars for June 8. It’s time to see what life is like above the clouds.

Are you planning to tackle the floating islands solo or with a crew? Let us know in the comments!

  • Uncover the Curse: Taiwanese Horror Sensation ‘Incantation’ Lands on Consoles

Uncover the Curse: Taiwanese Horror Sensation ‘Incantation’ Lands on Consoles

If you were among the millions who lost sleep after watching the found-footage phenomenon Incantation on Netflix, it is time to face that fear again—but this time, you aren’t just a spectator. After a chilling debut on PC, the interactive adaptation of Taiwan’s highest-grossing horror film has officially arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Softstar Entertainment (the veterans behind The Xuan Yuan Sword) and published by eastasiasoft, Incantation is more than a simple movie tie-in. It is a deep dive into the disturbing folklore of the Chen Family Village.

    The Story: A Mother’s Desperation

The game puts you in the shoes of Jia Jun Lee, a mother searching for her daughter who has been missing for six years. Her search leads her to the remote and fog-shrouded Chen Family Village.

Fans of the film will recognise the atmosphere immediately: the suffocating sense of dread, the ominous chanting, and the omnipresent influence of the Mother-Buddha. This isn’t a journey about heroism; it’s a journey about survival and the heavy price of breaking religious taboos.

Gameplay: Stealth, Rituals, and Psychological Dread

Unlike many Western survival horror titles that give you a shotgun and a prayer, Incantation follows the “run and hide” philosophy. You are vulnerable, and the village’s inhabitants—both human and supernatural—are not welcoming.

    Key Features:

Authentic Taiwanese Folklore: The game excels at world-building, using real-world cultural traditions, architecture, and superstitions to create a setting that feels eerily grounded in reality.

Stealth-First Mechanics: You’ll spend much of your time holding your breath, navigating narrow alleyways, and avoiding the gaze of cultists.

Environmental Puzzles: To progress, you must solve puzzles that involve performing ancient rituals, placing offerings, and deciphering documents that reveal the village’s dark history.

Cinematic Presentation: Utilising a first-person perspective, the game mimics the claustrophobic feel of the original film’s found-footage style while providing a high-fidelity console experience.

    Technical Enhancements & Physical Editions

For those lucky enough to have moved onto the next generation, the Nintendo Switch version includes specific enhancements for the Nintendo Switch 2, offering improved resolutions and more stable framerates.

If you’re a collector, Playasia is shipping physical editions for PS5 and Switch. The Switch Limited Edition is particularly enticing for horror buffs, featuring:

    An acrylic standee

A “lucky charm” (hopefully not actually cursed)

A numbered certificate and collector’s box

    Should You Play It?

At a digital price point of roughly £20 / $24.99, Incantation is a focused, 3-to-4-hour descent into madness. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, choosing instead to deliver a concentrated dose of cultural horror and genuine jump scares.

Warning: If you find yourself chanting “Hou-ho-xiu-yi, si-sei-wu-ma” in your sleep after playing, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Incantation is available now on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Nintendo eShop. A free demo is also available on PS5 and Xbox for those brave enough to test the waters.

Are you ready to offer your name to the Mother-Buddha? Let us know in the comments if you’ll be playing with the lights on or off!

  • MicroProse Sets a Date: Dino-Survival RTS ‘Repterra’ Hits Steam This April

MicroProse Sets a Date: Dino-Survival RTS ‘Repterra’ Hits Steam This April

The legendary MicroProse is back in the publishing saddle, and their latest project is taking us back to the Mesozoic era—with a high-tech twist. Chute Apps and MicroProse have officially announced that Repterra, the highly anticipated base-building survival RTS, will launch into Early Access on April 28, 2026.

If you’ve ever looked at They Are Billions and thought, “This needs more T-Rexes,” then Repterra is exactly the game you’ve been waiting for.

    Reclaiming a World Overrun

Set in an alternate history where dinosaurs escaped captivity in the 1990s and essentially ended human civilisation, Repterra puts you in charge of humanity’s last-ditch effort to take back the planet.

This isn’t just a simple strategy game; it’s a high-stakes survival experience where the environment is actively trying to eat your workforce. You’ll need to manage complex production lines, establish power grids, and build sprawling defences to hold back literally thousands of dinosaurs simultaneously.

    Key Features at Launch

    • Massive Scale: The game engine supports 100,000+ dinosaurs on screen at once while maintaining a smooth 60fps.
    • Tame, Breed, and Ride: You aren’t just killing dinos. You can capture them, breed them for specific genetic mutations, and even assign human units (soldiers, engineers, or tamers) to ride them into battle.
    • Three Unique Factions: Choose between factions that focus on resource management, advanced technology, or raw dinosaur taming power.
    • Hero Units: Deploy customizable hero units with unique active and passive abilities that can be upgraded over time.

    A Nod to the Classics

Strategists will notice a distinct “classic RTS” vibe in the visuals and UI. The developers have cited legendary titles like Red Alert 2 as inspiration, featuring a timeless pre-rendered graphic style that looks sharp in 4K while maintaining that nostalgic isometric charm.

“Repterra is officially launching into Early Access on April 28… the countdown begins!” — Chute Apps / MicroProse

    Get Ready for the Hunt

With a demo already sitting on “100% Positive” reviews on Steam, the hype for Repterra is building fast. Whether you’re interested in the deep genetic breeding mechanics or just want to see how a Flak Cannon holds up against a swarm of Raptors, mark your calendars.

Repterra arrives on PC via Steam on April 28. Are you ready to reclaim the Earth, or will you just be another snack for a Meganeura?

  • Build, Survive, and Pay Your Tributes: TownsFolk Arrives This April

Build, Survive, and Pay Your Tributes: TownsFolk Arrives This April

The wait for the next indie strategy gem is almost over. Swedish developer Short Circuit Studio and publisher Snapbreak Games have officially revealed that their highly anticipated survival strategy title, TownsFolk, will launch on April 20, 2026.

If you’ve been looking for a game that blends the cosy charm of pixel-art city builders with the high-stakes tension of a survival roguelite, mark your calendars.

    From Ruin to Resilience

In TownsFolk, players aren’t just building a city; they are guiding a fragile group of settlers through an untamed, fog-shrouded frontier. Starting from a modest camp, you’ll need to expand your reach, manage scarce resources, and transform a group of survivors into a thriving outpost.

However, the world isn’t exactly welcoming. As you clear the fog of war to reveal new tiles, you’ll uncover both life-saving treasures and lethal dangers.

    Key Gameplay Features:

    • Expansion & Management: Balance the core pillars of Food, Gold, Faith, and Production to keep your settlers happy and healthy.
    • The Fog of War: Every new tile explored is a gamble. Will you find a fertile meadow or a pack of wild animals?
    • Strategic Choices: Dynamic events and moral dilemmas mean no two playthroughs are the same. Your decisions directly impact the fate of your people.
    • The King’s Tribute: Survival isn’t just about the elements. You must consistently pay tribute to the kingdom or face the “harsh consequences” of the Crown’s displeasure.

    Roguelite DNA

What sets TownsFolk apart from your standard city builder is its Roguelite Mode. Each run presents a new story of resilience, requiring you to adapt your strategy to the specific disasters and opportunities that arise. Whether you’re dealing with unexpected weather events or navigating the demands of the King, the game keeps you on your toes.

“A survival strategy game where every choice shapes your frontier’s destiny.”

    Where to Play

TownsFolk is arriving on PC via Steam. If you want to get a head start on your settlement strategies, there is currently a free demo available on the Steam store page, which showcases the game’s handcrafted pixel art and core mechanics.

    Launch Date: April 20, 2026

    Developer: Short Circuit Studio

    Publisher: Snapbreak Games

  • Vultures Scavengers of Death coming to Steam on April 28th

Vultures Scavengers of Death coming to Steam on April 28th

Get ready to dive back into the golden era of survival horror—with a tactical twist. If you’ve been missing the tank controls and tension of the 90s, mark April 28, 2026, on your calendar. Vultures – Scavengers of Death is officially set to infect Steam, bringing a grim, retro-inspired apocalypse to your PC.

Developed by the duo at Team Vultures and published by Firesquid, this title isn’t just another zombie shooter. It’s a love letter to Resident Evil and Parasite Eve, blending the high-stakes inventory management of classic horror with the brain-teasing depth of turn-based tactics.

    The Nightmare in Salento Valley

The game drops you into the shoes of the VULTURES, an elite mercenary unit sent into the bio-hazard ground zero known as Salento Valley. Your mission is simple but suicide-adjacent: scavenge for information and materials that could lead to a cure for the infection ravaging the globe.

You’ll be exploring iconic horror staples—think abandoned police stations, decaying asylums, and sprawling mansions—rendered in a beautiful low-poly PS1 aesthetic that feels both nostalgic and deeply unsettling.

    Meet the Operatives

You won’t be heading into the dark alone. You can choose between two distinct agents, each bringing a unique toolkit to the extraction:

    • Leopoldo: A disciplined brute. He uses his strength to move, push, and jump over environmental obstacles, literally reshaping the battlefield to his advantage.
    • Amber: The analytical specialist. Equipped with a grappling gun, she can zip through environments and manipulate enemy positioning from a distance.

Tactical Survival: More Than Just Headshots

While the visuals scream 1996, the gameplay is pure modern strategy. Vultures uses an AP (Action Point) system that forces you to weigh every movement against every shot.

    • Targeted Damage: Much like Fallout or Parasite Eve, you can aim for specific body parts. Blowing out a zombie’s legs might buy you a turn of breathing room, while a headshot is high-risk, high-reward.
    • Extraction Gameplay: This isn’t about killing everything that moves. Resources are scarce, and sometimes sneaking past a pack of mutants is the only way to make it back to the NEST (your base) with your loot intact.
    • The NEST: Between missions, you’ll head back to your base to craft upgrades, manage your limited stash, and customise your loadouts for the next run.

Pro Tip: Don’t sleep on the combat knife. In the demo, players found that while it’s risky, the knife saves precious ammo and has a high chance of inflicting a “Bleed” status on enemies.

    Launch Details

    • Release Date: April 28, 2026
    • Platform: PC (Steam)
    • Price: $17.99 / €17.99 (with a 10% launch discount)
    • Extras: A “Supporter Pack” will be available on day one, featuring exclusive skins for your agents.

If you can’t wait until the end of the month, there is currently a playable demo on Steam that lets you tackle the first mission in the Salento Police Station. It’s the perfect way to see if you have the tactical chops to survive the night.

Will you find the cure, or just become another body in the streets? We’ll find out on April 28.

  • Rise from the Ashes: Dark Rogue-Lite ‘Cinderia’ Hits Steam Early Access

Rise from the Ashes: Dark Rogue-Lite ‘Cinderia’ Hits Steam Early Access

The rogue-lite genre is getting a hauntingly beautiful new addition. Shanghai-based developer MyACG Studio has officially launched its fast-paced action title, Cinderia, into Steam Early Access as of March 30, 2026.

If you’re a fan of fluid combat, deep customisation, and atmospheric world-building, this is one to keep on your radar.

    What is Cinderia?

Set in a world swallowed by darkness and soot, Cinderia puts you in the shoes of a survivor capable of resisting—and even consuming—the black magic that destroyed the world. It’s a 2.5D action rogue-lite that prioritises player freedom and “exhilarating” combat loops.

    Key Features at Launch:

    • Four Unique Heroes: Each character comes with a distinct pool of over 100 active skills.
    • Insane Build Variety: With more than 500 upgrades and 300 unique items, the combinations for passives and equipment are virtually limitless.
    • Substantial Starting Content: The Early Access version launches with 5 chapters and 8 challenging bosses, providing plenty of meat on the bones from day one.
    • High-Stakes Combat: The gameplay focuses on fluid combos and responsive dodging, rewarding players who can master the rhythm of the ruins.

    The Road Ahead

The developers at MyACG Studio have been transparent about why they chose the Early Access route. Drawing inspiration from genre giants that thrived on community feedback, they plan to keep Cinderia in development for roughly 12 to 15 months before a full 1.0 release.

    What’s coming in the future?

“The 1.0 version will include the game’s true ending… we also plan to add new bosses, playable characters, and even explore a two-player co-op mode once the single-player experience is polished.”

    System Requirements

Despite its striking visuals and particle-heavy combat, Cinderia remains relatively accessible for PC players.

    ComponentMinimum/Recommended Specs
    OSWindows 10
    ProcessorIntel i5-12600KF (or equivalent)
    Memory16 GB RAM
    GraphicsNVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB)
    Storage4 GB available space

    Why Buy Now?

As is standard with many successful Early Access titles, the price is currently at its lowest. The developers have confirmed that the price will increase as more content is added toward the final launch. If you want to help shape the game via their Discord and public testing branch—or if you just want to save a few quid—now is the time to jump in.

You can find Cinderia on the Steam Store now.

  • Warframe The Shadowgrapher: A Horror-Themed Masterpiece in Living Ink

Warframe The Shadowgrapher: A Horror-Themed Masterpiece in Living Ink

Digital Extremes has officially splashed into 2026 with Update 42: The Shadowgrapher. While last year’s The Old Peace gave us sweeping cinematic drama, The Shadowgrapher takes a sharp, inky turn into survival horror. If you’ve ever felt like Warframe was getting a little too “superhero” and not enough “space ninja nightmare,” this update is for you.

    Meet Follie: The 64th Warframe

At the heart of this update is Follie, a monochromatic frame inspired by inkblot tests, sad clown imagery, and the surrealist art movement. She isn’t just a caster; she’s an artist who treats the battlefield like a canvas of carnage.

    • Forced Perspective: Follie can drop through an inky frame to teleport, emerging in a splash of ink that debuffs nearby enemies.
    • Shadowgraph: She can literally bring sketches to life from her sketchbook, creating tactical items and tools on the fly.
    • Plein Air: Her signature CC—tying enemies to floating balloons that douse them in “Inkblot” (a new slow/debuff status) before popping and slamming them into the ground.

Follie’s Hunt: The Vesper Relay Returns

The most striking addition is the new game mode, Follie’s Hunt, located at the ruined Vesper Relay near Venus. This is a 4v1-style survival horror experience where Tenno must navigate tight, ink-choked corridors to complete “Shadowgraphs.”

The catch? You’re being hunted by an overpowered, persistent enemy presence. To complete the mission, you must collect paint from pools that force you into your Operator/Drifter form, making you vulnerable as you carry the pigment back to the canvas. It’s a high-tension cat-and-mouse game that rewards coordination over raw DPS.

New Arsenal Additions: Coda, Tenet, and Kuva

For the collectors and meta-chasers, the Adversary system has been expanded with three heavy hitters:

    WeaponTypeSource
    Coda BubonicoInfested Arm-CannonCoda Adversaries
    Kuva GhoulsawMelee (Butcher Style)Kuva Liches
    Tenet QuantaBeam RifleSisters of Parvos

Pro Tip: Your Kuva Lich can now actually ride the Kuva Ghoulsaw during their charge attack. Watch your ankles—it’s as terrifying as it sounds.

Quality of Life: Streamlining the Grind

DE hasn’t forgotten the “old” systems either. A few major changes stand out in this patch:

    • Requiem Eterna Relics: Say goodbye to the cluttered Requiem inventory. These new relics contain only Requiem Mods, simplifying the Lich/Sister hunt significantly.
    • The Awakening Remaster: The very first quest in the game has received a total visual and audio overhaul. If it’s been years since you started, it’s worth revisiting for the new lighting and Lotus dialogue.
    • Clan Initiatives: New weekly cooperative goals that reward clans for playing together, making those Dojo memberships feel more active.

    The Verdict

The Shadowgrapher is a refreshing, albeit spooky, shift in tone. It manages to make the Vesper Relay—a place many veterans haven’t visited in years—feel vital and dangerous again. Whether you’re there for the surreal aesthetic of Follie or the frantic tension of the hunt, there’s plenty of wet ink to go around.

  • Swarm Me minimalist survival game is now available on Steam

Swarm Me minimalist survival game is now available on Steam

Independent developer KBGS has officially unleashed its minimalist survival hit, Swarm Me, on Steam. Shifting the focus from raw firepower to tactical movement, this arena survival title challenges you to survive not by outgunning the horde, but by outthinking it.

If you’re a fan of high-octane, “one-more-turn” indie gems, here is why Swarm Me needs to be on your radar.

    Weaponize the Arena

The core hook of Swarm Me is a refreshing departure from the typical bullet-heaven formula. While you control a small drone, you aren’t just a walking turret. Instead, the arena itself is your greatest asset. The gameplay revolves around kiting swarms of up to 250 enemies into deadly environmental traps and hazards.

Survival is a “chaotic puzzle” of timing. You have to manage a shared energy pool that powers both your health and your offensive capabilities, forcing you to make split-second decisions: do you spend energy to blast a path through, or save it to tank an inevitable hit?

    Key Features:

Minimalist Mayhem: A clean, top-down design that prioritises flow and spatial awareness.

Trap-Based Combat: Use the environment to thin the herd rather than relying solely on weapons.

Customizable Modes: Choose between pure trap-based survival or “combat-assisted” gameplay with weapons enabled.

Meta-Progression: A built-in “Bank” system allows you to store points between runs to purchase permanent drone upgrades and buffs.

Steam Deck Ready: Designed for fast, smooth sessions—perfect for gaming on the go.

    High Stakes, High Rewards

As the clock ticks, the swarm grows faster, denser, and significantly more aggressive. To survive the escalating waves, you’ll need to hunt for special items and unique one-time-use tools for crowd control. It’s a game of “bait and switch”—luring the drone horde into a choke point before triggering a trap that clears the screen in a satisfying explosion of pixels.

    Availability

Swarm Me is available now on Steam. To celebrate the launch, KBGS is offering a 10% launch discount, making it the perfect time to jump in and start climbing the global leaderboards.

Techmash Verdict: If you enjoy the frantic pacing of Vampire Survivors but want a game that rewards movement and environmental strategy over auto-firing builds, Swarm Me is a must-play.

  • The Wait is Over: Machine Mind Hits Steam Today!

The Wait is Over: Machine Mind Hits Steam Today!

The gears are turning, the circuits are humming, and the wait is officially over. We are thrilled to announce that Machine Mind, the highly anticipated roguelike bullet-hell that’s been topping wishlists, has officially launched on Steam!

If you’ve been looking for a game that tests your reflexes as much as your tactical brain, this is the one.

    What is Machine Mind?

At its core, Machine Mind is a high-octane, top-down twin-stick shooter where you play as a rogue AI attempting to escape a sprawling, ever-changing laboratory. But this isn’t just a “spray and pray” kind of game. To survive, you’ll need to master the art of mechanical evolution.

Why You Need to Play It

Insane Customisation: You don’t just find new guns; you rewrite your code. With over 100+ modular parts and chips, you can transform your chassis from a glass-cannon speedster into a walking tank.

Procedural Mayhem: No two escape attempts are the same. The facility reconfigures itself every time you “reboot,” ensuring the challenge stays fresh.

Tactical Bullet-Hell: It’s not just about dodging; it’s about managing your heat levels and energy output. If you push your processors too hard, you’ll overheat at the worst possible moment.

Stunning Cyber-Aesthetic: The neon-drenched industrial art style paired with a pulse-pounding synthwave soundtrack makes every run feel like a high-stakes heist.

    Grab It Now

Machine Mind is available right now on the Steam Store. Whether you’re a veteran of the roguelike genre or a newcomer looking for a stylish challenge, this is a must-play for 2026.

The developers have already hinted at a robust post-launch roadmap, including new boss encounters and community-driven parts, so there’s never been a better time to plug in.

Final Verdict: It’s fast, it’s fluid, and it’s punishingly addictive. Go get it.

  • LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 2 Hits Hell Gate on March 10th Here’s What’s Coming

LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 2 Hits Hell Gate on March 10th Here’s What’s Coming

Prepare to descend once more, Raiders. GungHo Online Entertainment and Supertrick Games have officially pulled back the curtain on Season 2 of LET IT DIE: INFERNO, and it’s shaping up to be a blood-soaked evolution of the rogue-lite survival action we’ve come to love (and fear).

Kicking off on March 10 at 12 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. GMT, Season 2 brings a massive injection of content, including new ways to play, gear that defies logic, and a major shift for the franchise as a whole.

New Ways to Survive (and Die)

The biggest addition this season is the introduction of dedicated Solo and Duo PvE modes.

Solo Mode: Perfect for those who want to test their mettle against the “Yuckies” without the chaos of other players.

Duo Mode: Finally, you can bring a friend into the depths of Hell Gate to watch your back—or use them as a meat shield.

If you thought you knew the layout of Hell Gate, think again. Season 2 introduces shifted enemy placements, meaning your memorised routes are now obsolete. You’ll also encounter Elite enemies—identifiable by their glowing or flashing eyes—who offer a much stiffer challenge but presumably better rewards.

The New Arsenal: Trucks, Shields, and Curses
It wouldn’t be a LET IT DIE update without some truly bizarre weaponry. Season 2 introduces three standout additions:

The Dekotora: This is literally a weapon built from a truck. It features a three-level chargeable deathblow and a “Hellish Drive” sliding attack.

The Shield: More than just a defensive tool. When two-handed, its guard type shifts from High to Middle, allowing for specialized counterattacks against heavy hitters.

The Vampiric Tree: A brutal weapon that inflicts a “Curse” on deathblows. It’s designed specifically for aggressive duo follow-ups to melt through enemy health bars.

Quality of Life & System Updates

Supertrick Games has clearly been listening to player feedback. Season 2 introduces a long-requested Lock-on Targeting system, which should make the fast-paced, chaotic fights much more manageable on both PS5 and PC.

    Other notable updates include:

A New Mastery System: Permanent progression for your Raiders.

Expanded Crafting: More slots and an upgraded blueprint system.

Start Dash Event: Players who take down the final boss during the event window will snag exclusive cosmetic rewards.

The “End” of the Original LET IT DIE?

In a bittersweet twist, GungHo also announced that the original 2016 LET IT DIE is entering its final chapter. The online servers are scheduled to shut down on September 1, 2026.

However, it’s not all bad news. An Offline Version is set to launch in Fall 2026.

Save Transfers: Existing players can purchase an “Offline Patch” DLC to move their progress over.

Economy Shift: Death Metals will be discontinued in favor of Kill Coins for continues and storage.

No Microtransactions: The offline version will be a complete, standalone experience.

Whether you’re a veteran of the Tower of Barbs or a new Raider in the Inferno, March 10 is looking like a busy day. Just remember: in Hell Gate, death is only the beginning of a very expensive lesson.

  • The Rebellion Grows: Bellwright Officially Confirmed for PS5 and Xbox

The Rebellion Grows: Bellwright Officially Confirmed for PS5 and Xbox

Since it first arrived on Steam Early Access, Bellwright has been the “sleeper hit” of the survival-crafting genre. It’s a game that asks, “What if Mount & Blade and Medieval Dynasty had a baby?”—and then tasks you with raising that baby to lead a peasant uprising.

While PC players have been busy building hamlets and dodging arrows for nearly two years, the console crowd has been left peering through the castle gates. But the wait is almost over. Developers Donkey Crew and publisher Snail Games have finally confirmed that the bells will toll on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

    When Can We Expect It?

During the recent IGN Fan Fest 2026, a new trailer gave us the clearest window yet. Currently, Bellwright is slated for a Q2 2026 console release.

This follows a massive “Maiden Voyage” update on PC that expanded the map by roughly 25% (introducing the Halmare Isles). It seems the developers wanted to ensure the console version includes all the heavy-hitting content—including the new naval mechanics and expanded late-game tiers—right out of the gate.

    What is Bellwright?

If you’ve missed the hype, Bellwright is a medieval open-world RPG that blends several genres into one ambitious package:

Town Management: You don’t just build a house; you build a movement. You’ll need to manage villagers, assign tasks, and build thriving settlements.

Directional Combat: Similar to Chivalry or Mount & Blade, combat is skill-based and brutal. You’ll need to master the art of the block and strike to survive the Crown’s enforcers.

Tactical Leadership: You can command your villagers in real-time battles. Watching your simple farmers turn into a disciplined shield wall is one of the game’s most satisfying loops.

A Story of Revenge: You play as a framed outlaw on a quest to clear your name and topple the oppressive Sovereign.

    Why the Console Port Matters

Bringing a game as complex as Bellwright to consoles is no small feat. The UI, which involves deep menus for villager priorities and town planning, is being redesigned to feel natural on a controller.

For Xbox players, there is also the lingering hope of a Game Pass announcement, given Snail Games’ history with the service (think ARK: Survival Ascended). While nothing is confirmed, it would be a perfect fit for the platform’s survival-heavy lineup.

    Final Thoughts

Bellwright is more than just another survival game; it’s a “rebellion simulator.” With its arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S this spring, a whole new legion of players will get to experience the climb from a lone fugitive to a legendary leader.

Keep your eyes on TechMash for the exact release date as we get closer to the Q2 window.

  • A New Breed of Hunger: Famished Demo Now Live on Steam and Itch.io

A New Breed of Hunger: Famished Demo Now Live on Steam and Itch.io

If you’ve been craving a horror experience that’s a little more “grotesque indie” and a little less “jump-scare factory,” it’s time to eat. British indie dev SlaughterWare—the mind behind the legendary The Insanity flash series—has officially unleashed the first playable demo for Famished.

Set in the bleak, sun-baked sprawl of suburban Kansas, Famished isn’t just a game about being scared; it’s a descent into a very specific, very messy kind of madness.

    The Story: Meet Oatmeal Clutterbuck

You play as Oatmeal, a bullied and intellectually impaired teenager living a life that was already pretty grim before the “guest” arrived. That guest is Whisperguts, an alien parasite that has taken up residence inside Oatmeal’s torso.

As the parasite feeds, Oatmeal begins to feel a hunger that “normal” food can’t touch. You’ll navigate a world that feels like a distorted memory of the 90s, where the line between being a victim and becoming a predator starts to blur in the most cannibalistic way possible.

What to Expect in the Demo

The demo covers the opening chapter of Oatmeal’s transformation. Here’s what’s cooking:

    • Retro Vibes: The game uses a low-poly, PS1-style aesthetic that leans into the “uncanny valley” of early 3D horror.
    • Experimental Gameplay: Expect more than just walking and hiding. The demo features surreal mini-games, environmental puzzles, and a focus on psychological tension over traditional combat.
    • Dark Humour: In true SlaughterWare fashion, the horror is seasoned with a layer of pitch-black, surreal comedy. Think Stephen King meets Shenmue, but with significantly more viscera.
    • Cinematic Flair: Despite its indie roots, the game prioritises a cinematic feel with scripted sequences and a heavy, “80s-edge” soundtrack.

“What begins as a simple, gnawing appetite slowly mutates into something far more disturbing… something else is feeding.” — SlaughterWare

    Why You Should Play It

SlaughterWare (aka EvilKris) has been in the horror game for over 15 years. If you grew up playing high-effort Flash horror on NewGrounds, you know this developer understands how to build a lingering sense of dread without relying on cheap tricks. Famished feels like a passion project that’s been festering (in the best way) for a long time.

    How to Play

The demo is free to download right now. The full game is slated for an Autumn 2026 release, so this is your chance to get in on the ground floor of the nightmare.

  • Windrose has officially dropped its demo for the February Steam Next Fest

Windrose has officially dropped its demo for the February Steam Next Fest

Ahoy, matey! If you’ve been itching to trade your office chair for a captain’s quarters, the wait is over—well, at least a 4-to-6-hour slice of it.

Windrose (formerly known as Crosswind) has officially dropped its demo for the February 2026 Steam Next Fest, and it is making some serious waves. Developed by Windrose Crew, this isn’t just another sandbox; it’s a high-stakes blend of survival, “Souls-lite” combat, and seamless naval warfare.

Here is everything you need to know about the demo and why you should be hoisting your sails immediately.

The Demo Highlights: What’s in the Hold?

The demo isn’t just a brief tutorial; it’s a meaty “early slice” of the game that gives you a genuine feel for the pirate life.

    • Explore the Archipelago: You get access to the first three islands of the starter biome.
    • Command Your First Ship: Move seamlessly from land to sea. You’ll get to captain your first vessel, engage in naval combat, and—best of all—experience the boarding mechanics firsthand.
    • Souls-lite Swashbuckling: Combat isn’t just button-mashing. You’ll need to master parrying, dodging, and managing your “Guard” (stamina) against both historical rivals and supernatural threats.
    • Bring the Crew: The demo supports 4-player co-op via player-hosted sessions.

Pro Tip: If you play the demo before the Early Access launch later this year, you’ll unlock an exclusive decorative spyglass to show off your “early adopter” status when the full game drops!

    Survival Meets Strategy

Unlike some survival games that feel like a chore, Windrose focuses on a “refined” progression loop. You start as a betrayed captain left for dead (thanks, Blackbeard) and must rebuild from nothing.

    FeatureDescription
Base BuildingEstablish footholds that grow from simple shelters into fully operational outposts.
Worker MechanicRecruit NPCs to man workstations, reducing the grind so you can focus on pillaging.
CraftingA deep system of melee weapons (sabers, rapiers, halberds) and firearms (muskets, pistols).
ProgressionA talent tree system that offers meaningful power spikes rather than just +1% stat bumps.

    From “Crosswind” to “Windrose”

If the game looks familiar, that’s because it was previously titled Crosswind. The developers recently rebranded to reflect a shift in direction: moving away from a “Free-to-Play MMO” model toward a Buy-to-Play (Premium) PvE Survival Adventure.

The result? A more polished, atmospheric experience that feels like Valheim met Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and decided to share a bottle of grog.

Can Your Rig Handle the High Seas?

The game looks stunning (those water physics!), so you’ll want to make sure your PC is ship-shape:

    • Minimum: Intel i7-8700K / Ryzen 7 2700X | GTX 1080 Ti | 16GB RAM
    • Recommended: Intel i7-10700 / Ryzen 7 5800X | RTX 3080 | 32GB RAM
    • Storage: 30 GB (SSD strongly recommended)

    Ready to set sail?

The Windrose demo is live right now on Steam for the duration of Next Fest. Grab your friends, claim your spyglass, and see if you have what it takes to survive the age of piracy.
