When it comes to gamer satisfaction there are those games that really do come out on top and this is mainly due to the fact that the developers have put everything into the game to make it look and feel as real as possible.
This is the developer diary for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope the second outing for the game that is as dark and scary as a game could be. The key to this success is the use of motion capture, clearly, this is time-consuming and costly, but the end product is so much better.
In the video above the team behind the game demonstrate just how much work goes into the making the game when it would be so much easier to use the software that is available and that can produce great-looking games. Clearly, it is not the same, as it is the sounds too and there are so many other games that could benefit from this too.
Each day is completely different, you walk in and its “today you’re running from a monster in the woods, and…go!” Take an exclusive look on location at Pinewood Studios where much of the motion capture for Little Hope was shot.
Little Hope arrives on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on October 30th, 2020 for more details go to The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope page on the Bandai Namco Entertainment website here.
