When you are an Evil Genius you will need to find somewhere to hold up in and while it might be a brilliant hideout, it does not have to be a hole in the ground. So with your ill-gotten gains, you can afford an island, it is away from everyone and you see when your enemies are coming. However, it seems that some Evil Geniuses make some serious errors when creating their lairs, don’t be like them, learn by their mistakes and create the ultimate lair.
When you build your very first shiny island base in Evil Genius, it’s tempting to get carried away with extensions and walk-in freezers. But don’t get too cosy. About midway through the game, you’ll have to up sticks and move to another island and if you’re not careful, that move could bankrupt you.
