Microsoft Wants To achieve zero waste by 2030!

2030 might seem to be a long way off, but in the scheme of things, ten years can come around really quickly. This is where long term planning comes in and why Microsoft is looking to a future of zero waste.

In this explainer, Microsoft chief environmental officer Lucas Joppa explains an innovative approach we’re using to reach our goal to be zero waste by 2030.

Inspired by the concept of circularity, we will build new centres on select datacenter campuses designed to process and reuse as many old servers and hardware parts as possible.
