A fantasy park where people can live out their wildest dreams sounds like a good idea, but what happens when the dream becomes a nightmare? Creating androids that are able to pass as humans sound good, but when the programming goes wrong the androids are able to make their own decisions and some of them do not like the way that humans have treated them and are looking for revenge.
In this series set in a futuristic Wild West fantasy park, a group of android ‘hosts’ deviate from their programmers’ carefully planned scripts in a disturbing pattern of aberrant behaviour. With an exceptional cast headed by Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandiwe Newton and Jeffrey Wright, Westworld was inspired by Michael Crichton’s 1973 film.
