This is the iPager some people may remember these from the 80s when people carried them around and received messages from people, they would then need to find a phone to get in touch with whoever was trying to get in touch. This might seem old like old tech, but in the video above Android says that this is the tech that Apple still use for text messaging.
According to the video content because Apple use this outdated tech when an Apple phone is used to message an Android phone there are a number of issues that can occur such as; encryption, broken group chats, pixelated images and the green bubble effect. This can be easily remedied by switching to RCS and this is what Android’s point of the iPager is.
