We have all had to get used to events of all types being cancelled, scaled-down or being run behind closed doors and for PUBG Esports fans this has been no different. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel with the PUBG Global Invitational getting a date of February next year and taking place in South Korea.
Thirty-two teams will be invited to attend the event in South Korea starting from the 1st February and ending on the 28th March, they will all battle it out hoping to be in with a chance of grabbing a piece of the $3.5 million prize fund. This is a battle royale at it best with the winning team walking away with the lion’s share of the loot.
Now it’s time to look forward to 2021. We’ve taken the last year to dive into what makes a PUBG esports tournament fun and exciting, while also paying special attention to how that can be done in a safe manner for our players, fans, and staff. The result, we’re happy to announce, is the return of the PUBG GLOBAL INVITATIONAL, or PGI.S as we’re calling it!
These are exciting times for PUBG Esports fans, for more information or to keep to date with what is happening in PGI.S go to the special pages on the PUBG website here.
