Bringing Ryo to the Current Gen

The big news? The game is officially coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam), and the Nintendo Switch 2 in Q4 2026.

One of the most impressive reveals is for the Switch 2 version: unlike many modern releases that rely on “Game Key Cards,” the physical Switch 2 edition will feature the full game on the cartridge.

Optionality First: In a move that respects the hardcore fanbase, every single enhancement can be toggled off, allowing you to play the exact 2019 experience if you prefer.

Pre-orders have officially opened today (March 19, 2026). If you’re a die-hard fan, you’ll want to look at the three available tiers:

The Verdict

While we are still waiting for a specific release date (expected to be announced “in the coming weeks”), the trailer shows a game that finally matches the visual expectations of a modern title while keeping its quirky, slow-burn soul intact.
