Meet Swimpossible!, the upcoming indie “rage-game” from Berlin-based developer Arcane Cabinet. You play as Craig, a determined reverse mermaid (human legs, fish head—don’t ask) trying to wiggle and flail his way upstream.

Why it’s “Impossible”

Unlike your typical platformer, Swimpossible! forces you to control each of Craig’s limbs independently. It’s a chaotic, physics-based struggle where every stroke counts and every mistake sends you tumbling back down the current.

• The Goal: Reach the top of the river to find belonging (and maybe some mermaid friends).
• The Obstacles: Avoid giant ducks, stinging jellyfish, electric eels, and treacherous waves.
