Launching on June 11, 2026, this digital adaptation is ditching the “everyone for themselves” grind for a high-stakes, team-based tactical showdown. Whether you’re fighting for the light side or embracing the dark, the way you play Monopoly is about to change forever.
A New Way to Play: Teams and Tactics
Forget buying up Mayfair and sitting on it. In Heroes vs. Villains, the game is built around 2v2 and 3v3 competitive modes. You’ll work with your teammates to secure iconic locations from every era of the Star Wars saga—from the Ewok Village to the Jedi Temple.
- Roster of Legends: Choose from 28 iconic characters, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Darth Maul.
- Unique Abilities: There are 14 unique character abilities in total. How you pair your heroes (or villains) will be the difference between galactic dominance and a quick trip to the spice mines.
- Dice Battles: Landing on the same tile as an opponent no longer means just paying rent. It triggers a Dice Battle, a strategic mini-game to determine who actually keeps control of the location.
Cinematic Galactic Conquest
Ubisoft has gone all out on the presentation. The board features 22 locations rendered as unique 3D dioramas. When you move across the board, expect “cinematic moments” and dynamic GO events that can flip the state of the game in a single turn.
The game also features a progression system with in-game missions, rewards, and a mountain of unlockable cosmetics to ensure your team looks the part while bankrupting the opposition.
