Close the Case: Death at Fleming Manor Sets Official Steam Release Date

Calling all armchair detectives and mystery enthusiasts—it’s time to ready your pens and sharpen your deduction skills. Developer and publisher SUPERTHUMb has officially announced that their highly anticipated forensic mystery adventure, Death at Fleming Manor, will launch on Steam on November 3rd.

Alongside the release date announcement, the studio dropped a brand-new trailer offering another tantalising look at its intricate, paper-heavy crime-solving gameplay. The news arrives as momentum for the title reaches an all-time high, with over 65,000 eager investigators already adding the game to their Steam wishlists.

A Fresh Spin on Deductive Gaming

If you’ve spent endless hours untangling the mysteries of Return of the Obra Dinn or The Case of the Golden Idol, Death at Fleming Manor should be at the very top of your radar.

Set in a foggy, isolated British country estate in 1959, the game tasks you with investigating a string of unexplained deaths. Rather than relying on simple point-and-click prompts to hand you the answers, SUPERTHUMb puts the burden of proof entirely on the player. Your primary task? You must write the official death certificates and emergency reports.

To close a case, you will need to:

    • Examine the Crime Scenes: Inspect frozen-in-time crime scenes and study the exact condition of the bodies.
    • Gather Evidence & Question Suspects: Sift through physical clues and interrogate the manor’s residents—who are all hiding secrets of their own.
    • Fill Out Official Documentation: Determine who the victim was, pinpoint the exact cause of death, and decide whether the incident was an accident, a suicide, or murder.

Choosing a suspect isn’t enough; your paperwork must be supported by cold, hard facts. If you record missing or incorrect information, you risk sending the wrong person to the gallows—or letting a killer walk free.

    Vintage Aesthetic Meets Deep Narrative

Death at Fleming Manor stands out not just for its methodical gameplay, but also for its striking presentation. The game features hand-drawn ligne claire artwork inspired by classic 1960s European mystery and crime comics, paired with a moody, period-authentic soundtrack straight out of a vintage detective drama. Furthermore, SUPERTHUMb has proudly emphasised that all artwork was created entirely by human artists, with zero generative AI used.

The full release promises a deep, interconnected story spanning 12 episodes, offering around 12 hours of gameplay and four distinct endings dictated by the conclusions you reach in your reports.

    Try the Demo Today

Can’t wait until November 3rd to test your forensic skills? A playable demo featuring the tutorial prologue and Chapter 1 is currently available on Steam, giving players an early taste of the game’s atmospheric logic puzzles.

Be sure to check out the new release date trailer on Steam and add Death at Fleming Manor to your wishlist before it unlocks this autumn.

  • The House Doesn’t Always Win: ‘Teufelskreis’ Blends Roulette, Tarot Cards, and Corporate Horror

The House Doesn’t Always Win: ‘Teufelskreis’ Blends Roulette, Tarot Cards, and Corporate Horror

Solo developer L0rne has officially dropped the announcement trailer for Teufelskreis, an upcoming mystery-driven roguelite deckbuilder that transforms classic roulette into a high-stakes tactical battle against a possessed corporate AI.

German for “devil’s circle,” Teufelskreis plunges players into the eerie, high-pressure world of OPCORP. After a routine trip to the company archives leads you to a mysterious terminal, you find yourself locked in and forced to fulfil an impossible quota—or face termination. Your only way to survive? Gamble your way out of your employment contract by taking on the house at its own sinister game.

Spin the Wheel, Bend the Odds

Unlike traditional deckbuilders that rely purely on card combat, Teufelskreis centres its gameplay around a wheel of fortune with a deadly twist:

    • Tactical Tarot Mechanics: Place your wagers on the table, then use a customizable tarot deck to manipulate the odds, alter payouts, and overwrite the game’s rules before the ball drops.
    • An Adversary That Bets Back: You aren’t just playing against chance. The corrupted corporate AI places its own wagers—targeting colours, numbers, or full columns—and actively corrupts the table to make meeting your quotas nearly impossible.
    • Deck Engine Building: Draft, upgrade, and thin out your tarot deck between rounds. Pair your cards with rule-bending, permanent artefacts to create game-breaking combos where a single spin can turn into a massive payout.
    • Corporate Mystery & Exploration: Between high-stress roulette matches, step away from the table to inspect your creepy surroundings. Solve escape-room-style puzzles, search rooms, and piece together OPCORP’s dark backstory through archived emails and employee logs.

Drawing aesthetic and thematic comparisons to hit indie titles like Inscryption and Buckshot Roulette, Teufelskreis promises an immersive, unsettling atmosphere rounded out by an original soundtrack from composer Alex Peipman.

Check out the official announcement trailer on Steam to get a glimpse of the table in action and see if you have what it takes to break the wheel.

Teufelskreis is currently in development for Windows, macOS, and Linux PC, and is available to wishlist on Steam now.

  • Forget Everything You Know About Hide-and-Seek: ‘Shuffle and Seek’ Brings Chaotic Physics Paranoia to Steam This September!

Forget Everything You Know About Hide-and-Seek: ‘Shuffle and Seek’ Brings Chaotic Physics Paranoia to Steam This September!

Gaming nights are about to get a whole lot more unhinged. Indie developer Groovy Zebra Studio has officially announced that its upcoming 4-player asymmetric party game, Shuffle and Seek, will be launching on PC via Steam on September 23, 2026.

If you thought you knew how hide-and-seek works, think again. Shuffle and Seek takes the classic childhood game and completely flips it on its head, turning it into a chaotic, physics-driven playground packed with hilarious mind games, jump scares, and pure paranoia.

    What is Shuffle and Seek?

At its core, Shuffle and Seek pit hiders against seekers in a fast-paced 4-player setup, but the catch lies in its physics-heavy mechanics and asymmetric gameplay.

Instead of just crouching behind a couch or standing quietly in a corner, hiders can interact with—and become a part of—a dynamic environment where almost everything reacts to physics. From blending seamlessly into crowded rooms to manipulating objects to throw seekers off their scent, stealth requires equal parts creativity and chaos.

On the flip side, seekers aren’t just blindly looking around—they are armed with tools to disrupt the environment, test suspicious objects, and flush out hidden players. The result? A tense, psychological game of cat-and-mouse where every unmoving box, floating prop, or sudden noise could trigger total panic.

Key Features to Look Out For:

    • Asymmetric 4-Player Multiplayer: Gather your friends for intense 3v1 or 2v2 hide-and-seek showdowns where no two matches play out the same way.
    • Physics-Driven Playground: Every object in the game reacts dynamically, allowing players to create clever traps, structural collapses, or hilarious accidental reveals.
    • Paranoia-Inducing Gameplay: Was that chair always standing there? Did that barrel just twitch? The game is designed to keep seekers guessing and hiders sweating.
    • Easy to Pick Up, Impossible to Master: Designed as the ultimate party game, its intuitive controls make it accessible for casual gaming nights, while its psychological depth offers endless replayability.

    Wishlist It Now on Steam!

Mark your calendars for September 23, 2026, and get ready to test your friendships. Whether you’re planning your next casual game night with friends or looking for the next viral party hit, Shuffle and Seek promises a fresh, wildly entertaining spin on the asymmetric genre.

  • Prep for Invasion: War Footing Brings High-Stakes Strategic Defence to Steam This October

Prep for Invasion: War Footing Brings High-Stakes Strategic Defence to Steam This October

Independent developer Strategist’s Den Games has officially announced that War Footing, its incoming turn-based strategic defence management game, will launch on Steam for Windows on October 15, 2026. Priced at an accessible $11.99 USD, the title strips away the traditional frontline tactical view and instead places players directly in the high-pressure seat of a nation’s Minister of Defence.

If you’ve ever wondered whether wars are won on the battlefield or months prior in procurement offices and diplomatic summits, War Footing aims to give you a definitive—and challenging—answer.

Lead From the Top, Not the Front

In War Footing, victory isn’t about micro-managing individual tank squads or giving real-time attack orders. Instead, you are tasked with preparing an entire nation to survive an inevitable invasion by a hostile neighbour.

Every turn in War Footing represents one week of preparation. Players must carefully balance a fragile wartime economy across four main priorities: Procurement & Capital Funds, Industrial Investment, Homefront Stability, and Diplomacy.

When the invasion finally hits—typically around turn 68 of a 120-turn campaign—there are no magical emergency reinforcements. The army you built, trained, and positioned in the preceding weeks is the only force standing between your country and defeat.

    Key Features Breakdown

    • Procurement Under Pressure: Source gear from nine international supplier nations or invest in your domestic arms industry. You can buy equipment upfront or set up long-term production programs with interest rates over time.
    • Massive Arsenal Variety: Access over 180 equipment types, ranging from small arms and armoured fighting vehicles to heavy artillery, combat aircraft, and ground-based air defence systems.
    • Doctrinal Decisions: Adapt your military strategy with eight distinct doctrines. Choose wisely—adopting a new doctrine incurs a heavy 6-to-12-turn implementation delay, making pivot strategy a major commitment.
    • Political & Diplomatic Tightrope: Diplomatic ties control foreign aid and equipment pricing, while neglect on the home front can prove fatal. If domestic political stability reaches zero, a military coup ends your campaign immediately.
    • Fog of War & Operational Combat: Battles resolve sector-by-sector at the operational level based on equipment quality, unit readiness, doctrine fit, and initial deployment. With incomplete intelligence, you’ll have to deduce where the enemy’s main thrust will land without overextending your forces.
    • High Replayability: Featuring eight distinct scenarios with varying starting conditions, resource constraints, and threat levels, campaigns are designed to be tough, tense, and focused.

    Try the Demo Today

For gamers who prefer depth, logistics, and macro-level strategy over fast-paced micro-management, War Footing is shaping up to be a standout indie strategy title this autumn.

If you want a taste of the defence management chair before the full launch on October 15, a free playable demo is currently available on Steam.

  • Bend Gravity, Survive the Dark: Physics-Driven Space Roguelite Perihelion Announced!

Bend Gravity, Survive the Dark: Physics-Driven Space Roguelite Perihelion Announced!

Space combat is getting a massive orbital twist. Independent developer Dreamwave Labs has officially revealed Perihelion, an ambitious physics-driven space combat roguelite coming soon to Steam for both PC and Linux.

Combining high-stakes tactical dogfighting with deep run-based progression, Perihelion puts players in the pilot’s seat of a sleek fighter ship where understanding real-world space mechanics isn’t just helpful—it’s the difference between life and death.

Master the Physics of Orbital Warfare

Unlike traditional arcade space shooters, Perihelion challenges players to master real momentum, inertia, and gravitational fields. Instead of fighting against the pull of celestial bodies, you’ll learn to bend gravity to your advantage—slingshotting around planets to dodge enemy fire, conserving thruster energy, and executing devastating orbital flanking manoeuvres against hostile fleets.

Every sortie launches directly from your home carrier into high-risk zones. Whether you’re flying solo or teaming up in co-op gameplay, execution requires a mix of twitch reflexes and tactical strategy.

High Stakes, Deep Upgrades, and Mystery

As a roguelite, death is part of the journey. Between runs, you’ll return to your carrier base to repair, customise, and upgrade your ship with a variety of modules, weapons, and defensive tech tailored to your preferred playstyle.

Adding weight to every jump into the void is a narrative mystery: your primary objective revolves around tracking down and unravelling the tragic fate of a lost sister ship.

    Key Features at a Glance:

    • Physics-Driven Flight Mechanics: Utilise real orbital physics, planetary gravity wells, and momentum control in intense dogfights.
    • Co-Op & Solo Play: Tackle high-risk sorties alone or alongside friends in co-operative multiplayer.
    • Deep Roguelite Progression: Upgrade weapons, shields, and tactical ship systems between runs onboard your carrier.
    • Narrative-Driven Exploration: Piece together clues to uncover the mystery surrounding a lost sister ship.
    • PC & Linux Support: Native support for both Windows PC and Linux gamers on Steam upon release.

If you’re a fan of space simulators like Outer Wilds, strategic combat like FTL, or high-speed space dogfighting, Perihelion is definitely one to add to your Steam wishlist.

  • Surviving the Sub-Zero Apocalypse: Permafrost Drops Chilling New Trailer

Surviving the Sub-Zero Apocalypse: Permafrost Drops Chilling New Trailer

If you thought the gaming world had exhausted every possible end-of-the-world scenario, think again. German publisher Toplitz Productions and developer SpaceRocket Games have unleashed a brand-new trailer for their upcoming story-based survival sandbox, Permafrost, giving players a haunting new glimpse into a world turned completely to ice.

Set in the grim aftermath of a global catastrophe known as “The Shattering”—a cataclysmic event triggered by the shattering of the moon—Permafrost plunges Earth into a perpetual, suffocating deep freeze. Society has fractured, billions have perished, and the remaining scraps of humanity are left fighting over what little warmth and sustenance remain.

Here is a breakdown of what gamer audiences can expect from this brutal, sub-zero fight for survival.

    The Ultimate Adversary: Nature Itself

While post-apocalyptic survival games often focus heavily on fantasy monsters or constant gunplay, Permafrost strips away the tropes for a grounded, atmospheric, and deeply tense experience. Here, your deadliest enemy isn’t always a rival survivor or a hungry predator—it’s the relentless, sub-zero cold.

Players take on the role of “Rook,” an engineer with the technical skills to rebuild modern tech, but with dangerously little wilderness experience. Drawn out into the wasteland by a cryptic distress signal from a long-lost friend, you’ll have to constantly manage body heat, gear condition, and resources to avoid hypothermia.

Navigating the world means braving extreme “Cold Zones”—brutal regions that test your gear, timing, and preparation to the absolute limit in exchange for rare blueprints, high-tier loot, and salvageable technology like old-world batteries.

Key Features to Expect in Permafrost:

    • Story-Driven Sandbox Exploration: Traverse frozen open-world city ruins, snow-choked forests, and icy waters—on foot or by vehicle—to uncover the secrets behind “The Shattering.”
    • Upcycled Crafting & Base Building: As an engineer, you won’t just chop wood to survive. You’ll scavenge, upcycle scrap metal, restore ruined structures, and construct networks of heated shelters across the map to extend your survival reach.
    • Man’s Best Friend: You won’t have to face the freezing silence completely alone. Early in the game, players can rescue a dog companion. Your loyal canine scout will help detect incoming hazards, warn of nearby enemies, smell out hidden loot, and carry extra inventory.
    • Solo or 1–4 Player Co-op: Brave the deep freeze on your own, or team up with up to three friends in online co-op. Co-op doesn’t lower the difficulty—it simply allows players to divide responsibilities, manage complex base networks, and combine strengths to outlast the weather.
    • Tactical & Improvised Combat: Stealth, awareness, and conservation are vital. Face off against aggressive wildlife and hostile survivor factions using a mix of primitive tools, salvaged weapons, and improvised firearms.
    • Morality & Dynamic Factions: Make hard ethical decisions as you interact with scattered communities. Choose whether to build peace and restore society, or dominate the wasteland to secure power and resources for yourself.

    Frozen Wasteland Awaits

With its heavy emphasis on atmospheric isolation, deep crafting, and true environmental hazard, Permafrost is shaping up to be a must-watch title for fans of games like The Long Dark, Frostpunk, and Valheim.

Check out the newly released trailer on YouTube, add Permafrost to your Steam wishlist, and prepare your winter gear—the freeze is coming soon to PC Early Access!

  • Trust No One Under the Blood Moon: Among Shadows Blends Soulslike Combat with Social Deduction

Trust No One Under the Blood Moon: Among Shadows Blends Soulslike Combat with Social Deduction

What happens when you fuse the fast-paced, visceral combat of action-RPGs with the paranoid, backstabbing tension of social deduction games like Among Us? You get Among Shadows, an upcoming asymmetric PvP title from developer TMXN Games that aims to completely reinvent how players approach trust, betrayal, and dark fantasy survival.

If you are eager to get your hands on this unique hybrid before its full launch, you are in luck. A limited-time debut demo is live on PC via Steam right now through Monday, Aug. 31.

A Blighted Land and an Internal Threat

Set against the backdrop of an ancient, apocalyptic plague that has ravaged a once-prosperous realm, Among Shadows places players in the boots of Envoys belonging to the Order of the Secret Fire. Sent deep into blighted lands, your core mission is to investigate and cleanse sources of corruption—whether hidden in a quiet village well or deep within a dark cult gathering.

As Envoys, players must fight off hordes of rotting undead, dark fanatics, cunning bandits, and terrifying wraiths. You will gather resources, solve environmental mechanisms, find spell scrolls, and craft powerful weapons. With ten distinct classes—ranging from blade-mastering Samurai to heavy-armoured Paladins and lightning-wielding Wind Talkers—the action-combat loop packs a serious punch.

However, the deadly monsters wandering the land aren’t your biggest threat. The deadliest enemy is standing right beside you.

The Art of Deception: Envoys vs. Apostles

Infiltrating your squad are Underworld Apostles—traitors posing as loyal Envoys who are secretly working to spread the corruption.

While the Envoys clear out infection points, Apostles sabotage progress from the shadows by laying hidden traps, corrupting objectives, or executing stealthy assassinations when allies wander off alone.

    • Nightly Judgments: At the end of each day, remaining players return to the church to convene around a table. Utilising in-game voice chat, players must share notes, track down suspicious behaviour, and attempt to vote out hidden Apostles before it’s too late.
    • The Blood Moon Evacuation: When the Blood Moon rises, the game shifts into high gear. The Order’s ultimate goal transforms into an escort mission: defend the Lord and his citizens as you push through endless waves of monsters toward an evacuation point. If the Order reaches the zone, they win. But if the Apostles manage to assassinate the Lord using ambushes and deceit before the convoy arrives, victory belongs to the dark.

How to Play the Demo & Release Details

Developer TMXN Games is offering a sneak peek of the dark fantasy mayhem with a playable demo running from now until Monday, Aug. 31.

    • Playable Demo: Available on Steam through Aug. 31
    • Early Access Release Date: Friday, Sept. 24, 2026
    • Platform: PC via Steam
    • Price: $10.99

  • Be Kind, Rewind, and Build an Empire: Open-World Simulator Rewind 99 Hits 1.0!

Be Kind, Rewind, and Build an Empire: Open-World Simulator Rewind 99 Hits 1.0!

If you have ever felt a sudden wave of nostalgia for fluorescent lights, plastic VHS cases, and the warm hum of a tape rewinder, independent studio Gunmetal Games has just the game for you. The studio’s wildly creative open-world video store simulator, Rewind 99, is officially set to leave Early Access and release its long-awaited Version 1.0 on August 27 at 8 AM PT.

To celebrate the full release, players can jump in right now for $11.99, or take advantage of a launch-week discount dropping the price by 30% to just $8.39.

Here is why gamers, management sim fans, and nostalgic ’90s kids should have Rewind 99 on their radar.

More Than Just a Register: A Sandbox RPG in Disguise

At first glance, Rewind 99 casts you as a modest clerk running the last video rental store in Reshoot Springs—a low-poly, neon-soaked town set in 1999 that is slowly abandoning physical media.

Your initial tasks sound like a standard cosy management sim:

    • Stock shelves with movies, snacks, and retro collectables.
    • Process rentals and manage customer lines.
    • Manually rewind tapes (because non-rewinders are the worst).
    • Hire employees and set store hours.

However, calling Rewind 99 a simple store simulator does it a massive disservice. The shop is merely a front. Step outside the sliding glass doors, and you’ll find a sprawling, walkable open-world sandbox filled with quirky NPCs, deep progression systems, and a dark side hustle economy.

From VHS Clerk to Rental Racketeer

To survive the rise of corporate streaming giants and keep your shop afloat, you’ll need to step out from behind the counter and dive into side hustles. Rewind 99 leans heavily into sandbox absurdism, allowing players to build a true underground empire:

    • Run an Underground Fight Club: Earn extra cash on the side by organising bare-knuckle bouts.
    • Become a Movie Producer: Produce your own films and mix custom tapes to sell in your shop.
    • Enforce Late Fees—Violently: Send out repo men or personally collect overdue fees from delinquent customers.

    What’s New in Version 1.0?

Gunmetal Games listened closely to community feedback throughout Early Access, focusing Version 1.0 on deep mechanical polish and expanded content:

    • Rebuilt Employee AI: Staff are no longer liabilities. Overhauled pathing and behaviour mean your employees will actually restock, prioritise tasks, and keep the shop running smoothly.
    • Major Performance Overhaul: A comprehensive optimisation pass across the engine guarantees steady frame rates, even during long, asset-heavy gameplay sessions.
    • Expanded Map & Hidden Lore: Discover new secret locations across Reshoot Springs, alongside scattered lore fragments and artefacts that reveal what is really happening behind the scenes in town.
    • Quality of Life Enhancements: Enjoy fine-tuned customisation options, balanced progression systems, variable store hours, and overhauled pricing mechanics.
