The “bullet heaven” genre is about to get a serious mechanical upgrade. Mythwright and Payload Studios have officially announced that their highly anticipated “bullet heaven builder,” TerraTech Legion, is set to launch on Steam on April 30, 2026.
While many games in the “Survivors-like” subgenre focus on choosing perks from a menu, TerraTech Legion takes the modular DNA of the original TerraTech and injects it with high-octane, rogue-lite chaos.
Engineering Your Own Destruction
In TerraTech Legion, you aren’t just controlling a character; you’re piloting a custom-engineered war machine. As a maverick Tech jockey, you must reclaim planets from “The Legion”—a rogue AI army that has turned planetary surfaces into techno-organic nightmares.
The hook? The building is the gameplay.
- Modular Construction: Attach wheels, boosters, chainsaws, and orbital lasers in real-time.
